Chapter 501: Return to the Chaotic Demon Sea, Annihilating a Horde with One Palm!
Chaotic Demon Sea, Northern Dark Sea Region.
Over the vast, endless ocean, scattered clouds drifted lazily. Sunlight filtered through, shimmering across the waves and casting a tranquil glow.
Suddenly, the sky above rippled and twisted. With a flash of silver light, four figures appeared out of thin air.
These four were, of course, Lin Fan and his companions, who had just arrived from the Eastern Xuan Region.
"I'm not sure which part of the Chaotic Demon Sea this is," Lin Dong said as he scanned the unfamiliar surroundings, his brows furrowing slightly.
Though Lin Dong and Lin Fan had both explored the Chaotic Demon Sea for over a year before, the sea was unimaginably vast. They had only ever touched a small fraction of it.
"Doesn't matter. Let's just pick a direction. As long as we find people from the Chaotic Demon Sea, we'll know where we are," Lin Fan replied with a smile.
With that, the group of four sped off toward the distance.
"There are people that way—and demonic energy," Ying Huanhuan suddenly said, pointing westward with a slender finger.
At the same time, Lin Fan also sensed the disturbance and immediately led the group in that direction at full speed.
After several minutes, they halted midair, gazing ahead.
Out over the ocean, more than a dozen massive ships were speeding across the water. Behind them, dark clouds churned as thick, evil demonic energy surged, dimming the sky.
The dark clouds rapidly closed in on the ships. Countless demons burst forth like a torrential downpour, swarming the vessels as the sounds of fierce battle and screams echoed across the sea.
"Let's give them a hand," Lin Fan said, eyes glinting. With a wave of his sleeve, a flash of silver light engulfed the four of them, and they vanished from their spot.
It didn't matter whether the people on the ships were friends or foes—if they were fighting demons, that was reason enough to intervene. If any turned out to be enemies, they could always be dealt with afterward.
In a flash, the four appeared above the merchant fleet.
Lin Fan instantly recognized a familiar banner flying from the lead ship—it bore the character for "Gu."
"They're from the Gu Clan," Lin Dong confirmed, his voice low.
At that moment, the Gu Clan's massive ship was crowded with people, many of whom were pale with fear. Their eyes stared in horror at the wave of demonic clouds approaching from behind, their screams rising in desperation.
At the bow of the ship, dozens of Gu Clan disciples huddled together. Though pale-faced, they remained relatively composed. Their weapons were tightly gripped, and Yuan Power surged faintly around their bodies.
"Big Brother Yuntian, what do we do now?" one Gu disciple asked, voice trembling as he stared at the rapidly approaching storm.
They all turned toward the center of the group, where a handsome young man stood—Gu Yuntian, the most outstanding talent of the Gu Clan's younger generation.
"These things are too powerful. We can't stop them," Gu Yuntian muttered, clenching his jaw. "Everyone—split into groups and escape in smaller boats!"
Whooo!
Suddenly, the sharp sound of wind cutting through the air pierced their ears. A massive wave of demonic clouds had caught up, and within them, countless blood-red eyes locked onto the Gu Clan's ship.
"Heh heh..." A demonic figure emerged from the clouds, eyes filled with mockery as he stared at the Gu Clan's vessel. His tongue licked across his lips, bloodlust radiating from him along with overwhelming demonic energy.
Seeing this, the already pale faces of Gu Yuntian and the others turned even grimmer. That demon's strength was likely on par with a Reincarnation Stage expert. How could they resist?
"Are we really going to die here today...?" Gu Yuntian muttered in despair.
The same hopelessness spread across the faces of those around him.
And then—
From the clear skies above, thunder rumbled.
A colossal thunder hand, a thousand feet across, condensed in an instant and came crashing down toward the demonic clouds.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The thunder hand swept across the sky, shattering the demonic clouds in an instant. Countless demons were wrapped in arcs of lightning and turned to ash before they could even scream.
The thunder hand passed through, then dissipated. The piercing shrieks in the sky fell silent. Even the cries aboard the ships were abruptly cut off.
Everyone stared upward in stunned silence. Above them, nothing remained of the demonic cloud—only four youthful figures, two men and two women, stood hovering over the Gu Clan's ship.
What had moments before been a chaotic battlefield was now dead quiet—a contrast so sharp it was almost comical.
"L-Lin Fan... Brother Lin Fan?"
After a long pause, Gu Yuntian finally regained his senses. He slowly looked up, eyes wide in disbelief as he gazed at Lin Fan. "That just now... was you?"
Most of the Gu Clan disciples were familiar with Lin Fan. His performance during the Martial Meeting on Wu Hui Island had left a deep impression.
But witnessing him now, effortlessly obliterate a demon force—and even a demon with power equivalent to a Reincarnation Stage expert—was utterly shocking.
A year ago, Lin Fan had only just stepped into the Death Profound Stage.
Now, he could annihilate Reincarnation-level demons with a flick of his hand. That kind of growth was simply absurd!
"It was," Lin Fan replied casually as he descended to the deck with Ying Huanhuan, Qing Tan, and Lin Dong. "What happened here? Why are you all out at sea?"
Without hesitation, Gu Yuntian quickly explained the current situation in the Chaotic Demon Sea to the group.
As for them, they had fled Wu Hui Island and had been pursued by demons ever since.
"Yuntian, send two of your men to guide us," Lin Fan said after hearing the explanation.
Gu Yuntian hesitated. "May I ask... where is Brother Lin Fan headed?"
"Xuanling Island—and Wu Hui Island," Lin Fan said after exchanging a glance with Lin Dong.
"Brother Lin Fan, Wu Hui Island is far too dangerous right now…" Gu Yuntian's face shifted, and he immediately tried to dissuade him.
"No need to say more, we have our own plans," Lin Fan interrupted with a wave of his hand.
"...Alright. Be careful, then," Gu Yuntian said at last, seeing Lin Fan's resolve.
Lin Fan gave a slight nod, then turned to Lin Dong. "Have one of the Gu Clan disciples guide you to Xuanling Island. Help the Flame Master however you can—try to seal or destroy the Grand Heaven Evil Demon King. I'll go to Wu Hui Island with Qing Tan and Huanhuan to guard the Primordial Master."
"Got it." Lin Dong nodded. Lin Fan had endured three Reincarnation Tribulations and far surpassed him now. He had no concerns about leaving Wu Hui Island to him.
With their plans decided, Lin Dong left with a Gu Clan disciple guiding him. Tearing through space, he headed toward Xuanling Island.
"We should get going too," Lin Fan said with a nod to Gu Yuntian. With a wave of his sleeve, silver light surrounded him, Ying Huanhuan, Qing Tan, and another Gu Clan disciple.
Silver light flashed, space twisted—and the four of them vanished from sight.
