Chapter 420: I'm the One Who Came to Eradicate You!

After comforting Xinqing, Lin Fan's gaze returned to the copper statue.

Buzz...

The moment the blood orb landed on the statue, the blood-colored Nine-Tailed Spirit Fox seemed to come alive, letting out a long, piercing howl toward the sky!

At that moment, dark clouds rolled across the sky as the blood orb transformed into a crimson stream and was entirely devoured by the fox's open maw.

Ooooh...

A low, ancient howl, filled with desolation, echoed across the heavens and earth.

The Nine-Tailed Spirit Fox on the altar seemed to glance briefly at Lin Fan and the others before a crimson light burst from its mouth, condensing into a massive blood-red portal ahead.

"Go on, this is the Ancestral Soul Hall," said Aunt Xin softly, her fists clenched tightly.

"Lord Lin Fan, you have to hold my hand—otherwise, you'll be separated," Xinqing said, taking the initiative to grasp his hand with her soft, delicate fingers.

"Lin Dong, come here," Lin Fan said, holding Xinqing's hand and calling out to his brother.

"Got it," Lin Dong replied, stepping forward.

Lin Fan grabbed Lin Dong's arm with his free hand and said, "Let's go."

Just to be safe, not only Lin Fan and Xinqing would enter the hall—Lin Dong would come too.

Without hesitation, the three stepped into the blood-red portal.

Buzz...

A wave of light scanned over them, and the portal trembled slightly before the trio vanished within it.

Aunt Xin and the others watched as the three disappeared. Clasping her hands tightly, she whispered, "Ancestors, please bless and protect the final hope of the Nine-Tails Clan..."

And while they prayed softly, no one noticed the fleeting sorrow that passed through the eyes of the fox statue on the altar.

As they passed through the portal, Lin Fan felt an intense wave of spatial energy surge around them.

Moments later, crimson light flared before quickly dimming again.

His vision cleared—and what appeared before him was a boundless sea of blood.

They stood on a corridor above this sea, and at its end loomed a massive square.

Xinqing's bright eyes stared toward the far end of the corridor. She released Lin Fan's hand and walked briskly ahead, as if responding to a call from the distant past.

"Let's follow," Lin Fan said, letting go of Lin Dong and moving after her.

Lin Dong quietly followed, his eyes sweeping the blood-red space. Black light and lightning sparks crackled faintly between his fingers, hidden within his sleeves.

Soon, the three arrived in the vast plaza.

At its center stood a colossal stone statue of a Nine-Tailed Spirit Fox. Far more majestic than the bronze statue outside, its overwhelming aura made the heart tremble just to gaze upon it.

"That's our ancestor," Xinqing murmured reverently, her eyes filled with a touch of devotion.

"No... this is her skeleton."

She walked forward quickly, but halted a thousand feet from the fox's remains.

Then, she knelt down and assumed a strange ritual posture. Behind her, three furry tails extended outward.

Lin Fan and Lin Dong stood behind, silently watching.

As Xinqing took the ritual posture, a hauntingly ancient chant emerged from her lips. It reverberated throughout the space, as if drawing them into a dream of the ancient past.

Buzz...

With the chant echoing, Lin Fan could feel the world around them tremble. Streams of bloodlight began to gather on the fox skeleton.

The bloodlight converged rapidly—transforming into a humanoid figure.

As the light faded, a graceful, seductive woman appeared. She wore opulent robes and possessed an enchanting beauty so extreme it seemed to eclipse the heavens themselves.

"Ancestor…"

Xinqing looked at the alluring figure, tears welling up in her eyes.

"My child…"

The woman's gaze softened as she looked at Xinqing. She slowly extended her pale, delicate hand, her voice dripping with charm.

"Come, receive my legacy. I've waited for you for a long time…"

Xinqing reached out her hand to accept.

But just then, Lin Fan's eyes glinted coldly. He shot forward in a flash, scooping her into his arms and pulling her away from the woman.

Startled by his sudden action, Xinqing looked up in confusion. "Lord Lin Fan…"

"She's not your ancestor," Lin Fan said, voice grave, his eyes locked on the seductive figure.

Xinqing froze, her body turning cold as fear crept into her heart. "But I… I can sense the same bloodline within her as ours…"

"That means nothing," Lin Fan replied. "I told you before—the Yimo possess incredibly deceptive powers. That woman… she's a Yimo in disguise."

Lin Dong also fixed his gaze on the woman, dark light and lightning sparking in his pupils.

With guidance from the Spirit of the Ancestral Stone, he had also recognized the woman's true nature.

"Who are you? You are not one of us!"

The woman's expression finally shifted, her voice turning cold. "My child, have you forgotten our Nine-Tails Clan's laws? How dare you bring outsiders into the Ancestral Soul Hall!"

"Drop the act! Tell me—what Yimo King are you?" Lin Fan sneered, then looked at Xinqing with a gentler tone.

"She's not your ancestor. She's the one who's been killing your clansmen every time they entered this place."

Xinqing trembled. The light in her eyes began to fade, and fear replaced her belief. "A-Ancestor… is it true?"

Still, a faint glimmer of hope lingered in her voice.

The woman's gaze locked on Lin Fan. Slowly, her lips curled into a chilling smile.

"So… the foolish Nine-Tails Clan has finally started to suspect…"

That single sentence shattered all of Xinqing's lingering hope. Her face turned pale as snow.

"You… who are you really? Not many in this world still know about the existence of the Yimo Kings. And with only Death Profound Realm cultivation… you shouldn't even be aware of us," the woman said, her voice low and dangerous.

"Me?" Lin Fan smiled coldly.

"I'm the one who came to utterly destroy you."
