Chapter 119: The Fall of the Yin Puppet Sect, A Hefty Harvest!
With Lin Fan, Xiao Huo'er, and Xiao Yan all at the Manifestation Stage, plus Lin Dong at advanced Spirit Creation and Qing Tan at early Spirit Creation, hunting down the remaining members of the Yin Puppet Sect was hardly a challenge.
Especially with Mu Lei, Wu Zong, and six other Manifestation Stage powerhouses joining in.
In less than an hour, the entire Yin Puppet Sect was wiped out—completely annihilated!
Of course, while eliminating their enemies, Lin Fan's group didn't forget to collect the fallen enemies' spatial pouches.
"Master Lin Fan, these are the spatial pouches we obtained from killing the Yin Puppet Sect members. We hand them over to you as a sign of respect. We hope you won't hold our earlier actions against us."
After the fall of Yin Puppet City, Mu Lei and Wu Zong approached Lin Fan, offering all the loot they'd collected and speaking with extreme politeness.
That scene where Lin Fan obliterated Teng Sha with a single hand had truly frightened them.
They feared that if Lin Fan bore a grudge for their earlier attempt to seize the ancestral talisman, they wouldn't make it out alive.
"If you two insist, then I won't refuse." Lin Fan smiled and accepted the bags with a nod.
"No need to worry. I'm not someone who kills for pleasure. I've already forgotten what happened earlier."
"Thank you for your magnanimity, Master Lin!" the two of them sighed in relief and bowed in gratitude.
The spectators watching this unfold were stunned.
To think that even the heads of the Demon Gate and Martial Alliance would bow before one man—this was what true strength looked like!
Lin Fan's eyes glinted slightly. "I have a proposal. Are you two interested?"
Mu Lei and Wu Zong exchanged a glance. "We're listening, Master Lin."
"Now that the Yin Puppet Sect's main base is destroyed, there are still many branches scattered across the Great Wilderness Province. I want you to wipe them all out."
He smiled faintly and continued,
"Everything else—their remaining wealth, sect properties, and whatever you collect—belongs to you."
"But as compensation for giving you access to these assets, I want three million Pure Yuan Pills. Split between the two of you. What do you say?"
"Three million?"
Both Mu Lei and Wu Zong were surprised by the number.
Lin Fan raised an eyebrow. "Problem?"
Seeing his gaze sharpen, their hearts jumped. "No problem! We'll need two days to gather the funds."
"Pleasure doing business," Lin Fan smiled and extended his hand.
Although unsure of the meaning behind the gesture, both of them mimicked him and extended their hands as well.
[Ding! You touched Mu Lei and obtained one Blood Spirit Puppet!]
[Ding! You touched Wu Zong and obtained 500,000 Nirvana Pills!]
Satisfied with the system rewards, Lin Fan withdrew his hand.
"There's something down in this mountain that I'm interested in. While I investigate, go prepare the Pure Yuan Pills—and make sure no one comes down to disturb me."
With that, he turned and left, bringing Lin Dong and Qing Tan along with him.
Xiao Huo'er and Xiao Yan followed close behind.
Wang Zhong was still bound and strapped to Xiao Yan's back.
The group moved quickly through a hidden passage within the mountain.
Soon, they entered a deep, tunnel-like corridor, cold air continuously seeping out from within.
The chill posed no threat to Lin Fan, Lin Dong, or Qing Tan.
As for Wang Zhong—Lin Fan didn't care.
After ten minutes of descending, they emerged into a massive subterranean stone cavern.
The cave was huge—at least a thousand meters wide, several times the size of the plaza above.
Glowing night pearls embedded in the walls bathed the space in a soft light.
At the center was a massive pitch-black hole, from which a biting cold wind howled.
"So the cold barrier around Yin Puppet City came from here," Lin Dong muttered in surprise.
"Be careful," Xiao Diao warned. "Something's down there."
Lin Fan nodded and led the group to the edge of the dark pit.
Peering into the depths, they saw massive chains, each thicker than a human body, anchored to the cavern walls.
Strange runes glowed on the chains, sending rippling pulses of energy through them, almost as if they were alive.
Suspended in the center of these chains was a crimson figure, tightly bound and motionless.
"What is that? Its aura is terrifying!" Lin Dong exclaimed.
"That's not a person—it's a puppet," Lin Fan said calmly. "A Blood Spirit Puppet."
"Blood Spirit Puppet?" Lin Dong blinked in confusion.
Even Qing Tan looked curious.
Lin Fan smiled and explained the classification of puppet spirits, and what a Blood Spirit Puppet was.
Lin Dong was shocked. "If the Yin Puppet Sect had summoned that thing during the war, no one in the province could have stopped it!"
Xiao Diao snorted. "As if they had the ability to control it. This kind of formation isn't something they could build. They probably stumbled upon it and were trying to tame it. But clearly, they failed."
Lin Dong frowned. "But can we control it?"
Xiao Diao grinned. "You can't. But the Stone Talisman can."
Lin Dong glanced down at his hand, a bit uncertain. "You're sure the Stone Talisman can seal it?"
"Not 100%," Xiao Diao admitted. "But I'd say 70% chance, at least."
"Seventy percent is good enough," Lin Fan said. "Go for it, Lin Dong. Use the Stone Talisman and seal that puppet."
Hearing Lin Fan's words, Lin Dong nodded.
With Lin Fan and Xiao Diao's help, Lin Dong channeled the power of the Stone Talisman—
And successfully sealed the Blood Spirit Puppet!
Then, the group returned to the surface of the ruined sect.
Before leaving, Lin Fan casually destroyed the tunnel entrance.
Once Mu Lei and Wu Zong delivered the three million Pure Yuan Pills, Lin Fan's party set off again.
"Brother Lin Fan, are we heading back to Flame City now?"
Qing Tan asked excitedly once they were on the road again.
