Chapter 105: Did I Say You Could Leave?
Whoosh!
As Lin Fan and the others entered the Ancient Monument Space, the surrounding members of the various factions finally let out long sighs of relief, visibly relaxing.
The strength and methods Lin Fan had displayed earlier had left them deeply shocked and awed.
While he had been present, nearly everyone had felt an overwhelming pressure—especially those from the Yin Puppet Sect and the Wang Clan, who now felt incredibly fortunate that the monument space had opened just in time.
"Let's go. It's time for us to move too,"
The white-haired elder from the Lin Clan gave the order, leading his people into the massive energy vortex on the Great Wilderness Ancient Monument.
Not long after, members of the three great clans, Demon Gate, and other factions all surged forward in a mad rush to enter the vortex as well.
The moment they entered the vortex, Lin Fan clearly felt a force of rejection acting upon him.
It wasn't weak either—likely a filtering mechanism for who could actually enter the Ancient Monument Space.
Of course, this repelling force had little effect on the three of them.
After dispersing it with ease, Lin Fan, Lin Dong, and Qing Tan accelerated, guided by the pull of the vortex and swept quickly inward.
A few minutes later, a tunnel of light suddenly appeared in the darkness ahead, and the three figures darted straight through it.
What appeared before them was a vast, desolate land.
An ancient, time-worn aura drifted from the earth, casting a sense of loneliness and solemn silence across the space.
However, that silence began to break as Lin Fan and the others arrived.
At that moment, Little Marten leapt out and landed on Lin Dong's shoulder, glancing at Lin Fan with a touch of amazement.
"To think… In just a short time, your strength has grown so much. Lin Langtian was already half-step into the Manifestation Stage, and he couldn't even fight back against you!"
"I doubt anyone else entering this space can match you."
"Heh, just lucky," Lin Fan chuckled, borrowing one of Lin Dong's usual phrases.
"I was thrilled watching you beat Lin Langtian like a mangy dog," Lin Dong said excitedly. "That arrogant bastard always acted so high and mighty—now he's finally been humbled!"
"Of course Brother Lin Fan is the strongest," Qing Tan said with a bright smile.
Lin Fan smiled and said, "Let's explore the monument space first."
"Yeah," Lin Dong nodded, then took a deep breath, looking shocked. "The Yuan Power here is so rich!"
"These sect spaces usually use special methods to condense Yuan Power," Little Marten explained. "Training here for a day is probably worth several days outside."
"What a treasure of a place. If only we could cultivate here long-term," Lin Dong said with envy.
Lin Fan replied, "Actually, some of the current super sects have environments like this—or even better."
"If you get the chance to join one, you'll be able to train in places like this regularly."
"What are super sects like?" Qing Tan asked curiously.
Little Marten took over and gave them an overview of how powerful and influential super sects truly were.
After listening, Lin Dong's eyes lit up with longing and determination.
"So let's give it our all and try to qualify for one," Lin Fan encouraged them. "For now, let's explore this space and see if we can find any good stuff."
Lin Dong and Qing Tan both looked forward to the idea with excitement.
"Little Marten, got any suggestions?" Lin Dong asked his companion.
"These kinds of spaces always have a core region. That's where the real treasures are,"
Little Marten sat on Lin Dong's shoulder, scanning the area before pointing a claw northward. "That direction. I can sense that's where the center is."
None of the three doubted Little Marten's instincts.
Without delay, they followed the direction he pointed and headed north.
Along the way, they encountered several other cultivators.
But the moment anyone recognized Lin Fan, they would turn and flee without hesitation, terrified of provoking him and getting themselves killed.
As for the occasional aggressive demonic beasts they encountered, they were swiftly dealt with and became food for Huo'er and Little Flame.
After some time, a biting cold gradually filled the air, and the sky darkened.
"Tsk, who would've thought there'd be Bone-Corroding Yin Winds in this space…"
Little Marten looked up at the swirling chill and murmured with surprise.
"Bone-Corroding Yin Winds? What's that?" Lin Dong asked in confusion.
"It's a defensive formation technique only great sects can produce," Little Marten explained. "Used to protect their territories."
"Then we should probably find shelter," Lin Dong suggested.
"Hehe… This stuff is actually great for body tempering," Little Marten grinned.
Under his persuasion, Lin Dong decided to stay and use the winds for body training.
Lin Fan stood guard nearby with Qing Tan, protecting him while he refined his body.
Of course, for someone like Lin Fan, who possessed the Nirvana Golden Body, this level of Yin Wind posed no threat at all.
After another day, they continued their journey toward the core region.
The number of people they encountered increased gradually. Clearly, everyone knew that the true treasures lay at the center.
After pressing deeper, with the help of Lin Fan's Natal Spirit Talisman, the three of them arrived at the entrance to a Puppet Talisman Nest.
Due to the time they spent letting Lin Dong temper his body, the Demon Gate and the Yin Puppet Sect had gotten there ahead of them.
"Mu Qianqian, this place was discovered by us first. Don't go too far!"
Inside the Puppet Talisman Nest, Teng Lei of the Yin Puppet Sect glared at Mu Qianqian and the others from the Demon Gate with a grim look.
"Fufu, Teng Lei, that's not how this space works. In here, everything is unclaimed—whoever has the strength to take it, owns it," Mu Qianqian giggled.
"You're right. That puppet is mine now."
Just as tension peaked between the two sides, a clear voice suddenly rang out from behind.
Both factions were initially angered, but when they recognized the voice, their expressions quickly changed to wariness.
With everyone watching, Lin Fan appeared with Lin Dong and Qing Tan, strolling toward them with ease.
"Lin Fan…"
Seeing his arrival, both Teng Lei and Mu Qianqian's hearts sank.
They knew that with Lin Fan here, the Puppet Talisman would never belong to them.
"Fufu, since Young Master Lin Fan has taken a liking to the puppet, of course our Demon Gate won't compete,"
Mu Qianqian's gaze flickered as she offered a charming smile.
"Then I thank Miss Mu," Lin Fan replied calmly.
"Young Master Lin Fan, we'll take our leave then. We won't disturb you any further," Mu Qianqian said politely before turning with her people to leave.
"Please, go ahead," Lin Fan said casually, waving his hand.
Mu Qianqian nodded and led the Demon Gate members away.
Teng Lei looked at Lin Fan and the others, his heart full of unwillingness.
But when he recalled how Lin Fan had crushed Lin Langtian earlier, he swallowed his frustration and said,
"Since Young Master Lin Fan is interested, our Yin Puppet Sect will withdraw as well."
He turned to leave with his sect's disciples.
"Wait. Did I say you could leave?"
Lin Fan's brow lifted slightly as he looked at the members of the Yin Puppet Sect, his voice calm yet cold.
