Caelen's Room
The room was quiet, moonlight pouring in through the tall windows like a silent observer. Caelen stood at the window, arms folded behind his back, his crimson eyes narrowed at the night outside. Beside him stood Ryan, silently alert as always.
The door creaked open.
Nyra stepped in first, followed by Veralia and Reina. Their faces held concern.
Caelen didn't turn. "How's Mr. Can?"
Veralia stepped forward. "He's better now... he's asleep."
Nyra looked directly at Caelen. "And Eric?"
Caelen finally turned to face them, his expression unreadable. "My suspicion was right. This village is cursed."
Silence fell over the room like a heavy blanket. No one breathed for a moment.
Caelen continued, "Eric told me they've been worshipping a mysterious god. One they fed with sacrifices... villagers."
Nyra clenched her fists. "That explains why the land is soaked in blood."
