Weiss used her senses and quickly determined that just the value of the gold of this sculpture was equivalent to 300 gold coins or so. And as this was a work of art, that would add extra value to this item.
So as the bidding was just starting and as the price of this sculpture was about to go above 100 gold coins, Weiss made her move and called out a price of 350 gold coins.
If she could win this item with this amount of money, then that would be a steal. She would definitely be able to sell it for much more if this sculpture turned out to just be a regular sculpture.
But luck was not in Weiss's side at this moment. So even though her extra high bid managed to silence the crowd for a moment, very soon someone overcame her bid with a price of 375 gold coins.
