Chapter 510 - Chapter 510: Royal Entertainments status

"The company-wide background check of Royal Entertainment is complete," Spector announced.

"What did you find out?" Adam asked curiously.

"Royal Entertainment's financial situation needs serious attention. The lack of any big-name celebrities, the inability to acquire lucrative contracts, the mismanagement of the company and the troublesome employees led me to calculate that the company would most likely have collapsed within two years."

"Collapse within two years," Lorelie asked in surprise before adding with a frown, "They never notified me of that when we were negotiating."

"No surprise there. Prince Francis Terrana was probably hoping that signing you would save the company," Aphrodite replied.

"They were still duty-bound to inform her of the company's situation as per universal law," Rowena stated with a displeased look.

"Why didn't Princess Tessa inform us of this during the negotiations?" Stacey asked in an annoyed tone.

"My guess is they didn't know," Rowena replied before explaining, "Even now, the Terrans are still recovering from the murder of most of the imperial family and doing a background check on Royal Entertainment was probably not high on their priority list. Adam's request to purchase the company came before they could do a full check on it."

"Is the situation salvageable?" Adam asked.

"It is. A sizeable influx of credits, along with the dismissal of the troublesome employees, will save the company. Signing, Lorelie and Rowena will not only make the company appear more attractive to other celebrities but also to other companies when applying for lucrative contracts with them."

"I'm ready to sign now," Lorelie proclaimed happily

"Hang on a moment," Adam said before asking, "Tell me about these troublesome employees."

"I never expected the owner of an entertainment company to ask the most popular celebrity in the universe to 'hang on for a moment," Revi said with a chuckle.

"It's because he knows she's guaranteed to sign with his company, as am I," Rowena replied.

"You as well?" Revi asked in surprise before asking, "Are you not still under contract with Dynamic Entertainment?"

"I am, but I can easily afford the early termination fee and I'm not happy with that company's direction," Rowena replied.

"Ahh, the whole internal power struggle," Revi replied in understanding.

"Yeah. I'm more concerned with how to free Kasumi from her contract with them. It was I who suggested she join Dynamic, but unlike me, she still has a long time on her contract and I highly doubt she can afford the early termination fee," Rowena explained before Spector spoke up again.

"My analysis of the Royal Entertainment shows that approximately forty-one percent of the company has partaken in something that was damaging to the company, including accepting bribes, selling company secrets, sexual assault on the celebrities, sexual assault on members of staff beneath them, showing favouritism by giving promotions, jobs or bonuses to staff members or celebrities that were not best for the position or did not deserve it."

"Fuck," Stacey remarked.

"I suppose this is what happens when a spoiled prince who doesn't know how to run a company and only created it to get his dick wet with the talent runs a company," Revi remarked.

"You really do have a foul mouth for an empress, you know," Adam remarked as he looked at Revi with a smirk.

"Only when I'm with friends," Revi replied while returning the smirk, only for it to become more flirtatious as she added, "plus you should see what else I can do with my mouth."

"Breathe fire from it? It was pretty cool when you did that," Adam remarked as he chose to ignore the smirk before quickly changing the subject and asking, "How will it affect the company if we sack them all?"

"Considering how the company has been losing celebrities recently, it won't negatively affect it. However, as more celebrities sign in the future, these vacant roles will need to be filled."

"Sack them," Adam ordered before asking, "Are you capable of recruiting replacements?"

"I can perform a background check and make recommendations, and while I can interview them, I'm incapable of deciding if a person is a good fit personality-wise," Spector replied.

"So we still need an actual person in a management position," Adam replied thoughtfully.

"Affirmative."

"Hmmm, let's put that aside for now, but let me know if you find anyone that you think could fill the role," Adam stated.

"Affirmative."

"What do we need to do next, then?" Adam asked.

"Changing the company name from Royal Entertainment to Spector Entertainment with the Universal Company Registration and Management Body," Spector replied before asking, "Do you wish to proceed?"

"Yes," Adam replied.

"Name change request has been successfully sent to the Universal Company Registration and Management Body for review," Spector announced.

"How long before we get a response?" Adam asked.

"Impossible to say since it depends on how busy they are, but I estimate twenty-six to fifty-two hours," Spector replied, causing Adam to nod in understanding.

"I also suggest we wait to sign with the company," Rowena suddenly said, causing Lorelie to turn to her curiously and ask.

"Why?"

"Because by waiting until the name change is approved, we can give Spector Entertainment the best possible start.

Think about it, everyone will be shocked to hear about three divas suddenly signing with an unknown company and will do everything they can to investigate it, thus putting it in the spotlight and making other celebrities interested in it and curious as to why we would choose to sign with a company no one has heard of," Rowena explained.

"Three?" Revi asked curiously.

"I also plan to sign with Spector Entertainment," Aphrodite declared proudly.

"You!" Revi remarked in surprise.

"Yes, is there something wrong with that?" Aphrodite asked with a pout.

"That's not what I meant, but you of all people should know why I'm so surprised," Revi replied.

"Unfortunately, I do, but unlike those other idiots, Adam sees my worth," Aphrodite said proudly while pushing out her ample chest.

"Your worth?" Revi said doubtfully before looking at Adam and asking, "You're not planning to make Spector Entertainment an adult entertainment company, are you?"

"See, doubtful," Aphrodite remarked in annoyance as she folded her arms under her ample bosom.

Everyone chuckled at Aphrodite's response before Adam replied, "No, but it will have a department specifically focused on adult entertainment."

"That's a point. I should contact Susan and Jessie regarding moving to Terrana Five so that they can use the facilities there," Stacey stated before thinking of something else and suggesting, "Why not have Jessie enter that management position you were concerned over before? She has experience running a business after all."

"Don't you mean she has experience running a gang?" Adam replied with a smirk.

"Criminal organisation," Stacey replied with a smirk of her own before adding with a wink, "Some would say that the eighty-sixers are just an illegal company."

Adam thought for a moment before asking, "Spector?"

"I will perform a full background check on the individual known as Jessica McMillan using all available data on the universal subspace network as well as the data I acquired from the security station back on Trillion," Spector replied.

"Jessica McMillan?" Stacey asked in surprise.

"You didn't know her full name?" Adam asked curiously.

"It's not a good idea to reveal such information to those who deal in the illegal side of society. This is also why I never told anyone except Susan that I was from the Nosferatu family," Stacey explained.

"Makes sense," Adam replied while nodding before adding with a smile, "Let's wait and see what Spector comes up with, though I'm not against the idea since she's your friend."

"Sure," Stacey replied with a smile of her own while she almost instinctively played with the new ring on her finger.

"Well, it seems I need to get back to work," Revi suddenly said with a sigh.

"Something wrong, Revi?" Tephe asked curiously.

"My ministers are starting to get anxious and keep sending me messages telling me that I have important matters to handle," Revi explained.

"I can't wait to hear how they react when you tell them about your vacation then," Tephe replied with a cheeky smile.

"I know, it's going to be so entertaining seeing their reactions," Revi replied with an evil smirk of her own before glancing at Adam and then looking at Lorelie while saying, "Please keep me updated on when you think you will be done with your tour in the Felidae Galaxy and you plan to travel here."

"Sure," Lorelie replied before adding, "Don't work too hard and take care of your health."

"Thanks," Revi replied before waving to them all, after which she ended the holocall.

"It must be rough ruling over an entire race," Stacey remarked.

"People only look at the positives from being an Empress, King or whatever and claim how lucky they are. They never consider the downsides to being the ruler of a race or galaxy," Rowena replied.

"Well, if you ladies don't mind, I'm going to get some rest. I'm a bit worn out from everything that has happened recently and I have no idea how long it's been since I got some sleep," Adam stated as he got up.

"I guess travelling in time does make you lose track of time," Aphrodite replied as she studied him with concern.

"Go get some rest, babe," Lorelie stated as Stacey nodded in agreement.

Adam nodded before turning and heading for the master bedroom as the women watched him go.

After Adam vanished from her view, Lorelie turned to Eri and asked, "Did you manage to get everything sorted?"

"Yes. I have managed to arrange for a friend to deliver me some clothes and other essentials tomorrow," Eri replied.

"Good. You can borrow one of my nighties tonight," Lorelie offered with a smile.

"Thank you," Eri replied with a smile.

"Don't worry about it," Lorelie said dismissively before asking, "Shall we start discussing my schedule then?"

"Sure," Eri replied eagerly.
