"Have any of the crew attempted to launch the escape pods?" Adam asked.
[[Negative. The crew appear to be attempting to get the ship working again by rerouting power.]]
"Will that work?"
[[Eventually, once the systems they reroute through are no longer affected by the restoration shots.
However, it's pointless as at that time the normal power conduits will be functional again.]]
"Will the airlock even work without power?"
[[Airlocks have a priming handle in a compartment next to them as a manual way to open them. You just pump the handle several times to prime the locking mechanism so that it releases and you can manually open the airlock.]]
"Are the ships' emergency bulkheads operational?"
[[Negative, they do not have power.]]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Wow, getting hit by an EMP really fucks your ship up.]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Wait, why was the streamers' ship ok before when he got hit by that EMP? It was only his FTL drive that got knocked out, right?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): That's what I'm also curious about. Generally, the rule is that the larger the ship, the better its protection is against EMP attacks. The streamer's ship is strange in that only its FTL drive was disabled when it got hit by the EMP blasts in the past. Also, its distortion repeaters are powerful enough to disable a large-class ship alone when normally you need several ships working together to do that.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Just another way in which the streamers ship seems far more advanced than any I have seen.]
"I guess we'll go with the simple solution then," Adam said as he made his way towards the disabled ship's outer airlock.
"I wonder what he plans to do," Malgath asked as they continued to watch the stream.
"He's heading for the outer airlock; I guess he plans to board the ship," Kasumi commented.
"I still think it's foolish to take on so many pirates alone," Malgath replied.
"Have we decided that they are indeed pirates, then?" Eri asked.
"Well, it is the most likely case," Malgath replied.
Adam reached the outer airlock and saw that the console on the hull next to it, which usually controlled the airlock, was dead because of a lack of power. Looking towards the other side of the airlock, he noticed a thin rectangular gap in the hull that was slightly wider in one section.
He slid his armerd fingers into the slightly wider gap and gave it a slight pull, causing a hatch to open and reveal a handle inside.
He grabbed the handle and tried pulling it down. It took a fair amount of force, but he was able to pull it down until it stopped. As he released it, the handle slowly moved back to its original position. Adam repeated the action a few more times until the handle refused to budge anymore.
He turned around and reached out to grab a handle that was on the outer airlock door before planting his feet around the edge of the airlock and magnetising his boots to get a solid footing, before he started to pull on the handle, making the outer airlock door slowly slide open.
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): How does he plan to pressurise the airlock so he can open the inner? Surely he can't open it the same way unless it's pressurised?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): That's a good question, the manual override handle won't move if the airlock is not pressurised.]
Adam deactivated the magnetic boots before grabbing the edge of the outer airlock hatch and pulling himself into the airlock, allowing the momentum to carry him to the inner airlock.
Once reaching the inner airlock, he removed the circular object he had gotten in Spector's armoury from his utility belt before placing it against the inner airlock, where it attached to the inner airlock's door.
After attaching the circular object, he pushed away from the inner airlock door and allowed momentum to carry him out of the airlock and away from the ship before he activated his anti-gravity drive again, causing his wings to appear.
"You might want to warn your viewers about what's about to happen, Malgath," Kasumi warned as she continued to stare at the stream with sparkling eyes.
"I believe you're right, Kasumi," Malgath said in agreement before he turned to the studio cameras and said, "Dear viewers. If any children or individuals with a sensitive nature are currently watching, I advise you to look away now because what you see next will not be for the faint-hearted."
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): What did he attach, and why is the show's host giving that warning?]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): I think you should change your name because you would suck as a real assassin, it's obviously a bomb. He's going to blow the airlock.]
[Justiceistruth (Earth): Wait. What will happen to everyone on the ship if he does that?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): With the emergency bulkheads not functioning, all the air that is not in a room that is already sealed will be sucked out into space. Also, with the rapid release of the air and the artificial gravity not working, many individuals will most likely be blown into space.]
[Justiceistruth (Earth): Are you fucking serious?]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): Well, now, it's been a long time since I last saw someone blow open a ship's airlock.]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): That's because when you do it, anything not in a sealed room or bolted down gets sucked through the ship before being blown out into space. Pirates don't do it because it spaces all the loot there after, and law enforcement doesn't do it in case it gets rid of any valuable evidence.]
After floating a certain distance away from the ship, Adam stopped his momentum before accessing his uniband and pulling up a holographic screen that said.
[[Molecular Disintegration Bomb Armed]]
[[Detonate]]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): That sounds awesome. I'm so looking forward to this.]
"What on Solarian Prime is a molecular disintegration bomb?" Malgath asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I have never heard of such a device," Kasumi replied with a curious look.
"Could it be similar to how his blaster can disintegrate people he shoots?" Tephe asked.
"His pistol is already unique in that regard; normally, a disintegration shot requires a weapon so large it needs to be attached to a vehicle like a ship. If he also has bombs that can do that, then I don't know what to say." Rowena replied.
"So it's true that your boyfriend has a blaster capable of firing a disintegration shot, Diva Lorelie?" Malgath asked.
"That's correct, though I have never seen him use it in person and only on his stream," Lorelie replied.
"I was under the impression that the world he came from was significantly less advanced than ours. How does he have such advanced tech?" Malgath asked.
"That is something you will have to ask him," Lorelie replied with a smile.
The viewers watched as Adam pressed the Detonate button on the holographic screen of his uniband before a silent flash was seen from inside the disabled ship's airlock, before the airlock door disintegrated and vanished as if it had never existed..
Afterwards, air could be seen leaving through the hole where the door to the inner airlock had been. Along with the air came miscellaneous objects from within the ship, as well as individuals of several different races.
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): God damn, he actually did it, he spaced them.]
[SciFifanboy (Earth): I thought that was something you only saw in movies, and no one actually did it in real life. God damn, that was so Sci-Fi.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Fuck it really did dinsintegrate the airlock door.]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): Is there some new power in the universe that has secretly managed to miniaturise disintegration tech that we don't know about?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Unlikely. No offence to the streamer, but if that was the case, why would they give it to a streamer to use and make public? Surely they would rather keep it secret and only use it on covert missions or the likes.]
"So it really was a disintegration bomb," Malgath said in surprise as they watched the bodies of several different races being sucked into the cold vacuum of space.
"Let this be a lesson to anyone who wants to try and kill Diva Lorelie, be prepared to die in the worst ways possible for your actions against this man's girlfriend," Eri said cheerfully.
"Honestly, I'm quite jealous, you have found yourself quite the dependable boyfriend, Diva Lorelie," Kasumi said with a hint of longing in her beautiful fox-like eyes.
"Thank you for the compliment, Kasumi, and please, a friend of Rowena's does not need to address me so formally, please just address me as Lorelie."
"I would be happy to, I look forward to when your concert comes to the Reynard Galaxy so that the three of us can enjoy a drink together, of course, your boyfriend is also invited.
"Hey, what about me?" Tephe suddenly said.
