Deino resembles a young sauropod dinosaur. Its body is blue, and black fur covers its eyes, preventing it from seeing.
This black fur also extends down to its neck, near its limbs. Deino stands on four legs, its tail is small, and its head fur has pointed protrusions.
Larvitar is a small, bipedal reptile-like Pokémon with rocky, gray-green skin and a long, blunt horn on its head.
Its eyes are red, its arms are short, and each foot has a single toe. Its abdomen is covered by a diamond-shaped red scale, and its waist has four diamond-shaped black holes.
Its tail center is conical, surrounded by a plate-like structure.
Dratini is a serpent-like Pokémon, covered in light blue scales, with a bright white belly.
It has a pair of purple eyes, a small white protrusion on its forehead, white fins on either side of its head, and a large, round white nose on its face.
These three Pokémon were all excellent quality Pokémon bred by Team Rocket. Qingwu felt an urge to take all three, but in reality, he couldn't; Team Rocket had strict rules.
When Qingwu first saw Tyranitar, the Pokémon Qingwu wanted was Larvitar. However, Larvitar's type overlapped with Aggron's, so Qingwu reluctantly excluded Larvitar.
In Qingwu's memory, there was also news of Larvitar appearing on Mt. Silver in his previous life. Even if he missed this Larvitar, Qingwu still had a way to obtain another Larvitar.
Larvitar had the highest cost-effectiveness, as its evolution, Tyranitar, could also Mega Evolve.
However, cultivating a Larvitar required too many resources, so much that Qingwu might go bankrupt. Therefore, now was not the best time for Qingwu to cultivate Larvitar.
Thinking of this, Qingwu reluctantly turned his head to look at the remaining two Pokémon.
The Dratini that inherited Extreme Speed, and the Deino with good moves. Qingwu's gaze lingered between these two Pokémon.
A Dratini that inherited Extreme Speed was on a different level from one that didn't.
Not all Dratini would inherit the move Extreme Speed, and not all Dragonite would have Extreme Speed.
The move Extreme Speed came partly from inheritance and partly from self-realization.
A Dragonite without the Extreme Speed move would have significantly reduced combat power, as speed was Dragonite's proudest asset.
However, in his previous life, Qingwu had discovered an island where Dragonite lived and had even become friends with one.
Originally, Qingwu had planned to go back and get the Dragonite after completing his undercover mission with the Aqua Gang, but ultimately, he had let Dragonite down.
Hopefully, that innocent simpleton wouldn't keep waiting for him. So Qingwu also eliminated the Dratini option, leaving only Deino.
Deino was a Dragon-type Pokémon unique to the Unova region, originating from the Village of Dragons. Very few Deino were born each year in the Village of Dragons; only important figures in the League could own one.
Qingwu was very surprised that Cang had a Hydreigon.
"You're the one, Deino!" Qingwu directly released Deino.
This Deino was very robust and lively. As soon as it came out, it went to Qingwu's feet, tugging at his pant leg, and then ran to Hydreigon's side, nuzzling Hydreigon's body and refusing to let go.
"This is..." Qingwu watched as this Deino affectionately snuggled beside Hydreigon.
"My Hydreigon is this Deino's mother. I originally thought my time was limited, so I entrusted this Deino to other members of Team Rocket, but I never expected Leader Sakaki to actually send Deino over."
Cang realized he had slipped up. His scheme of using something for a different purpose had been exposed by himself.
Cang gave an awkward laugh.
"I'll take this Deino." Qingwu directly recalled Deino into its Poké Ball.
Just by harvesting from Cang's Pokémon today, he had obtained Hydreigon's blood. Combined with some Dark-type energy materials, Qingwu would temporarily not lack materials for cultivating Deino for a while.
With an additional Pokémon, especially a Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, Qingwu's pressure increased significantly.
A poor clerk but a rich trainer. Without a vast family fortune, who would dare to become a trainer? After all, Pokémon required money everywhere.
"Oh right, Qingwu, please take this." Cang pulled out a shimmering silver token from his怀. The token had a powerful Hydreigon carved in relief.
"With this token, no one will make things too difficult for you, and this token will also save your life at an opportune moment," Cang said indifferently.
Qingwu had seen this token before. Only high-ranking cadres had such tokens; it was proof of direct affiliation with Sakaki's lineage.
Qingwu touched the token, which still carried Cang's body warmth, thoughtfully. Accepting this token also meant that Qingwu directly joined Cang's command.
"There's one more thing: this trial will end early. It will be announced in a few days. If you have nothing else to do, stay in the trial base."
"When the third gathering takes place, the top five will be decided through a competition," Cang's meaning was clear: he preferred Qingwu to stay in Team Rocket's trial base, conserving his energy for the final trial.
"How can one see the rainbow without experiencing the storm?" Qingwu was still thinking about the valuable Pokémon on the trial island map.
Moreover, only wild training could raise Pokémon's levels. Only through fierce battles would Pokémon further grow.
However, Qingwu didn't voice his thoughts and turned to leave.
When Qingwu returned to his room, he took out a test tube of indigo blue potion from his backpack.
This was an aptitude enhancement potion Qingwu had formulated while making the antidote. It contained Crobat's fresh blood and numerous valuable Poison-type materials.
After Zubat drank it, it could replenish the balance of Poison-type energy.
"Come out, Zubat." Qingwu directly released Zubat from its Poké Ball. Zubat flapped its wings and landed on Qingwu's shoulder. Qingwu felt his shoulder sink and smiled at Zubat.
"You've gotten quite fat lately, you fella." Zubat's expression immediately cracked σ(っд;)っ.
"Alright, I'm done teasing you. This is my best aptitude advancement potion. You can start evolving now." Zubat's level had already reached 25, and it was increasingly unable to suppress the light of evolution.
Qingwu had just finished preparing the aptitude advancement potion, and Zubat could evolve after drinking it.
Zubat bit through the advancement potion, and its entire body flashed white, beginning its evolution. The evolution lasted for a full two hours.
Qingwu watched as Zubat's wings became wider, its mouth grew larger, revealing sharp canine teeth, and its big, bright eyes looked at him.
Pokémon evolution was not like in the anime, where it succeeded in an instant. Instead, it was a gradual process that stimulated cell division and life transition.
Therefore, Pokémon on the verge of evolving would usually find a place where no one could find them to begin their evolution.
However, the duration of evolution varied. For example, Kakuna evolving into Beedrill probably only took a few minutes. The longer the evolution time, the higher the aptitude increase. Some Dragon-type Pokémon could even take one or two months to evolve.
Golbat is a bat-like Pokémon. Most of its body is blue, and its wing membranes are purple.
Its most significant change compared to its pre-evolution is that its mouth becomes exceptionally large, almost occupying its entire body.
Four sharp teeth are separated on its upper and lower jaws. After evolving, it gains eyes, and its feet seem to have footpads, but its ears become smaller than before its evolution.
