Ugh! Calvin and his dumb questions again. I roll my eyes.
There's only one reason he might be acting so stupid all of a sudden, and that's to piss off his little brother. For some reason, Desmond can't help but set his jaw in Calvin's presence, and to be honest, mine is set too. He's just that annoying guy, the type that makes you want to murder him even though you're usually a ray of sunshine—all because he enjoys provoking you right to the bone.
"It's more like a deal to promote wines from Lawrence Cellars at The Lopez Room's restaurants, but for your fried brain, merging might be the right word, yes," Chester saves me the energy of clapping back at Calvin, only to receive a deadly glare from the egg-head. He doesn't falter though.
Grandma Maela snorts, looking at Calvin with a pointed look. "You deserved that." I nod in agreement.
