"Ughh! I'm so exhausted." I flop into my chair. We just finished an online meeting with Keith Macmillan, the acting CEO of my resorts, telling him to chill on the publicity stunt before my signal. Fucking hot-headed man he is. He always finds a way to get on my nerves.
"That's understandable. Keith doesn't make your life any easier," Chester soothes me.
"Yours too. Why do we even keep that guy around? We should've fired his ass a long time ago."
"Not when he hasn't breached the contract you signed with him, or done something to ruin the company. If anything, everything he's saying is in our best interests. Firing him on a whim could be bad for us if he decides to sue, which could lead to loss of the resort's reputation and sales along the way."
Damnit! I don't need reality checks right now.
