*After defeating the Null Father and restoring the Nexus Towers, Rotham receives a hidden signal from the deepest sector of Adra-9's forbidden archive. It doesn't come from space—it comes from his own mind.

Chapter 21: Refraction Point

The stars no longer screamed.

In the weeks after the Null Father's exile, Rotham had become something else—half memory, half will. The Nexus responded to his thoughts, and new Towers bloomed across forgotten planets like beacons for the lost.

But peace was deceptive.

Because on the seventh night, while meditating inside the Nexus Core, Rotham felt it: a pulse, like a heartbeat—but in reverse.

THUMP-thump. THUMP-thump.Backwards. Inward.

Then, a voice—not Selin's. Not the Architect's.

"Rotham. You left us behind."

He opened his eyes.

But the world wasn't there anymore.

He stood in an endless room of glass. Mirrors stretched infinitely in all directions—each one reflecting a different version of him:

Rotham the coward.

Rotham the tyrant.

Rotham who never touched the Seed.

Rotham who let the cycles continue.

The Nexus Core had sealed. Selin couldn't reach him.

This wasn't space.

It was a construct of thought.

And something inside it was watching.

Not with eyes.

But with knowing.
