Lina gathered her children around her, a sly smile spreading across her face. "My children, I have some good news for you. I've noticed that you're not as carefree as you used to be, and I think I know why. That's why I've secretly arranged for someone to find your father, and I've paid them a handsome sum to ensure the job is done."
The children's eyes widened with excitement, and they exchanged hopeful glances. Lina continued, "Now, you'll have the chance to see your father again, and I'm giving you the opportunity to live with him for three days or a week. If you're happy there, you can stay, but if you don't like it, my door is always open for you."
Lina's eyes sparkled with confidence. "I know you'll see the difference between our home and your father's. You'll realize that I've been providing for you, taking care of you, and giving you the best life possible."
The children nodded eagerly, thrilled at the prospect of seeing their father again. They agreed to their mother's proposal without hesitation.
As they arrived at their father's house, the children's excitement was palpable. They rushed to the door, eager to reunite with their father. When he opened the door, they flung themselves into his arms, tears of joy streaming down their faces.
"Dad, we've missed you so much!" the youngest child exclaimed. "What happened between you and Mum? She just dropped us off at the entrance of your house and drove away without even getting out of the car."
Their father smiled wryly, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Is that the way to greet me? You said you've missed me, and yet you attack me with questions."
The youngest child looked up at her father with a sheepish grin. "Sorry, Dad. Let's go inside first, and you can relax. We'll talk about everything later."
As they stepped inside, the father's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with questions. What had really happened between Lina and him? And what was Lina's true motive for sending the children to live with him?
