Kimi's breath caught in her throat as she stared into Kolton's blazing eyes.
"What are you doing here?" The words tumbled from her lips.
This was the last place she wanted to encounter him. Why couldn't he have chosen any other room in this sprawling house?
"I could ask you the same question." Kolton rose from his position, his movements predatory and deliberate.
Panic fluttered in Kimi's chest as he approached. Every instinct screamed at her to flee. She spun toward the door, her only thought escape.
Her feet carried her swiftly across the room, but before her fingers could grasp the doorknob, strong fingers wrapped around her wrist. The force of his grip yanked her backward, slamming her against the solid wood.
Kolton's patience had finally snapped. Her attempt to run was the final insult he could tolerate.
