"Nani...?" Jaden gritted his teeth. Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman had been dealt with just like that; he could hardly believe his eyes.
"And now, from my hand, I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your face-down card! With this, the duel is over!"
"Cyber Angel Vrash and Cyber Angel Dakini, attack Dark Magician Girl together!" Alexis commanded with fiery determination. Truly, a jealous girl was a terrifying force.
"Ahhh!"
Dark Magician Girl cried out as the double assault overwhelmed her, wiping out the remainder of their Life Points and reducing them to zero.
"We still lost in the end... You two are just too strong, Alexis, You Feng," Jaden chuckled good-naturedly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"What a truly magnificent duel!" Chancellor Sheppard rose to his feet from the VIP seats, clapping enthusiastically.
"Those two look so good together. Standing side by side, they're practically a match made in heaven."
"One as the Dark Magician, the other as Dark Magician Girl... How romantic!"
Murmurs rippled through the spectators. Alexis turned around, her amber eyes gazing straight into You Feng's.
"You Feng..." she murmured softly.
"Hmm?" You Feng blinked, looking at her with a gentle smile.
"I... might have already fallen for you. Just like I said during our duel, that card held a completely different meaning in both games. This time, its meaning... I hope we can reach that card's final destination together."
It had taken every ounce of Alexis's courage to bring those words past her lips.

Though her voice had not been loud, her words detonated like a thunderclap across the arena, sending waves of shock and wild cheers through the crowd. Alexis had actually taken the initiative to confess her feelingswhat an absolute miracle!
She had always maintained a cool, aloof demeanor, never sparing the slightest romantic interest for anyone. Yet here she was, openly baring her heart to You Feng. If they had not witnessed it with their own eyes, no one in the academy would have believed it.

In the stands, Chazz could practically hear the sound of his own heart shattering into a thousand pieces, his face pale with utter disbelief.
"My little sister actually took the first brave step for love. How truly astonishing," Atticus remarked with an approving grin.
"I know. I've always known... And like I told you, I've been answering your feelings all along," You Feng said as he stepped forward. A deep sense of peace washed over him; after everything, he had finally captured her heart.
As he closed the distance between them, Alexis felt an unexpected flutter of panic. Sensing what was about to happen, a vivid blush crept across her cheeks.

Before the eyes of the entire crowd, You Feng leaned down and planted a firm, lingering kiss upon Alexis's lips.
Alexis's eyes widened in disbelief. He had actually kissed her in front of so many people?
"The lovers are finally united!!"
"They really are a match made in heaven!"
"Alexis!! Waaah!!" Unable to bear the sight any longer, Chazz turned and sprinted away in sheer misery.
Amidst the roaring cheers, no one noticed that Dark Magician Girl had vanished from the field, dematerializing into a translucent spirit and quietly drifting to You Feng's side.
As the cosplay contest drew to a close, twilight settled over Duel Academy, stretching their shadows across the cobblestone path.
"Alexis... I have to leave for a while. The next time we meet, perhaps that will be when we can stay together for good," You Feng said softly, breaking the quiet of the evening.
"I knew you would leave eventually. After all, you didn't come to Duel Academy just to study," Alexis replied gently, not seeming surprised in the least.
"Still... how long will it be until I see you again?" Alexis asked, silently resolving to push herself and grow even stronger during his absence.
"Not long. Trust me," You Feng said, his gaze steady and resolute.
"I understand..." Alexis stood on tiptoe, pressed a tender kiss against his cheek, and spun around to run off.
"You Feng, I'll be waiting for you!" After putting some distance between them, she turned back and waved.
You Feng watched her figure disappear into the twilight before pulling his gaze back. His next destination was the world of 5D's, and it was time to start preparing his deck for what lay ahead.
"Dark Magician Girl, just how long do you plan on following me?" You Feng suddenly asked into the empty air.
