Chapter 305 - Chapter 230-1: Dragon Driver - Li De (Part 1)

Accompanied by a strange noise, a massive skull composed entirely of white bones extended from a spatial rift, with soul fire burning fiercely within it in a ghostly blue hue.

Those hollow eyes radiated only death and destruction.

A dragon!!

That was the skull of a dragon!!

At that moment, Grayclaw the Direwolf King felt his fur bristle in sheer terror. The hair on his back stood on end like needles, his massive tail raised high, and his entire body trembled uncontrollably.

A terrifying Dragon's Might spread through the heavens and earth, the most powerful aura-type suppression in the world. Only true warriors dared to face it directly.

Even the Vampires in the midst of casting spells felt as if a dreadful predator was preparing to hunt them down.

Their casting speed clearly dropped.

Crack~

The space shattered the moment the skeletal dragon's head appeared.

A terrifying creature with a wingspan of 20 blades emerged above the Direwolf King.

The world fell silent. The distant sounds of insects halted abruptly, leaving only the rustle of wind brushing the treetops.

The tattered dragon wings flapped with a chilling breath of death. Its entire body, composed of pure white bones, exuded an eerie, silent stillness.

Its hollow eyes revealed the ghostly blue soul fire burning in its skull, but no one dared look directly into its soul, for that gaze represented annihilation.

All of this confirmed the creature's identity, a Bone Dragon.

But what was most striking was the black-robed mage riding on the Bone Dragon's back.

His face was breathtakingly handsome, his figure tall and regal, and his bearing as elegant as a noble from an ancient royal bloodline.

The fangs visible in his mouth revealed his identity.

A Vampire who commanded a dragon.

"Keh keh keh~ You foolish Direwolf! Let the great Witherbone send you to meet the God of Death!"

Under Grayclaw's stunned gaze, the Undead Bone Dragon actually spoke. Before he could react, the Bone Dragon unleashed a Dragon Breath infused with death and destruction.

Even his soul froze for an instant. Every part of the Direwolf King's body screamed a dire warning, if he hesitated even half a second longer, death would claim him.

With a sudden turn, Grayclaw's powerful limbs exploded with all their strength as he fled the range of the Dragon Breath at the fastest speed he had ever achieved in his life.

Crack~

The gray, chilling Undead Breath surged downward, flooding the area with waves of necrotic energy. The Dragon Breath corroded everything in its path.

Nearby trees yellowed, withered, and decayed at a speed visible to the naked eye. The grass turned to ash, and even the soil grew pale.

The entire region instantly became a land of death, no living being could set foot there.

Sitting atop the Bone Dragon, Li De watched the direction the Direwolf had fled, the corners of his lips curling into a cold smile.

"Catch that little wolf cub."

"Wahaha! The great Witherbone shall destroy all enemies! No one escapes the hunt of Lord Witherbone!"

Witherbone, the Undead Mage occupying the Bone Dragon's body, flapped his wings obediently as if Li De were his true master, the one who drove this Bone Dragon.

Whoosh whoosh~

The damaged deathly wings flapped as terrifying Dragon's Might swept through the forest. The Level 15 Direwolf King resembled a lamb to the slaughter beneath the Bone Dragon's might, fleeing in desperation.

Dragons, as a Golden Race, were among the most renowned and powerful beings in Glory. Their strength lived up to their fearsome reputation.

Dragon's Might exerted immense pressure on any magical beast that was not a dragon, especially one like Grayclaw, whose bloodline lacked any special lineage.

Even though the Direwolf King had reached Level 15, under the Dragon's Might of an 18th-level Bone Dragon, he was still terrified beyond reason.

This pressure came from the soul, from biological instinct, it could not simply be resisted by will.

Three minutes later.

Kap, who was in a fierce battle with Betty and Grote, suddenly tensed. He had sensed a powerful presence rapidly approaching.

Then, to his shock, a Bone Dragon with a wingspan of 20 blades appeared above them, carrying in its mouth the Direwolf King, three blades tall and six blades long, a Level 15 magical beast, as if it were merely a lamb.

With a casual flick, the unconscious Direwolf was flung from the sky, slamming into the ground and kicking up a cloud of dirt.

Just moments ago, the majestic Direwolf King had now become a near-dead mutt lying limp on the battlefield.

"The great Lord Witherbone has arrived! You lowly lionman, hurry and kneel to pay your respects to Lord Witherbone, wahahaha~!"

"This feels so good! That little wolf cub dared run from Lord Witherbone? Even the Undead can't tolerate such disrespect!"

Li De twitched his lips at the Bone Dragon's endless babbling. He immediately unfolded his bat wings and soared into the sky, refusing to exchange another word with the damned undead.

"Witherbone, coordinate with Betty and Grote. Take down that Beastman."

Upon hearing Li De's command, the massive Bone Dragon's body instinctively shuddered, as if something had just occurred to it. With a subtle glance at Li De's calm face, Witherbone quickly turned away and began circling in preparation for an attack.

His behavior was like a mouse facing a cat, despite being the towering Bone Dragon, it was Li De who appeared to be the true giant.

Kap's expression grew increasingly grim. These two troublesome Northern warriors had dragged the battle on for far too long.

Even though he completely overpowered the damned pair in raw strength, their recovery abilities were absurd. Time and again, they rose back to their feet, no matter how severe their injuries.

Every time he attempted a finishing blow, the other would launch a desperate assault to stall him.

Rage built up inside him.

He was a Beastman royal, an 18th-level Lionman warrior, yet two Level 16 Northern warriors had managed to hold him off. Although Northern warriors were renowned throughout the Glory Main Plane for their strength, he was royalty among Beastmen!

And now, added to the mix, was a Bone Dragon whose aura even surpassed his own. This battle…

The immense pressure made Kap's face turn incredibly grave. Gone was the ease and confidence he had shown when facing the two Northern champions.

No one on this battlefield was weak.
