Chapter 146 - Chapter 146 – Nemona: Finally Out~

Who's the most likely candidate for the "Lust Queen of Kitakami Village"?

"Lusamine definitely deserves that title."

"Iono's distorted dimension isn't bad either."

"The Psychic Queen, Sabrina, has never fallen short compared to anyone."

"Lillie... that works too."

"Wait, what the hell—Nemona??"

That pretty much summed up Haru's current train of thought.

That Nemona would be swayed by Pecharunt's lust didn't surprise him all that much.

After all, the future Champion of Paldea had never bothered to hide her "gravitational field" and love of battle. In sheer fighting spirit, she could rival even Lusamine's obsession with alphabet games.

This much was even recorded in the games' storyline.

She practically stalked the "protagonist" through the whole Champion's Path, showing up in every new area to demand a battle.

And to make those battles fair for the "protagonist," this Champion even raised a whole extra team of Pokémon just for them…

One could say she went to ridiculous lengths just to stomp newbies.

But… Nemona's desires had always been purely battle-oriented.

That had nothing at all to do with lust, much less deserving the title of "Queen of Lust."

If anything, it'd be more accurate to call her a Chaos Champion—a slightly less extreme Khorne Berserker.

Besides, Haru remembered giving the order to have all Paldean students evacuated except for Liko and Lillie.

So why was she still here?

Haru felt a little dazed.

Nemona clearly wasn't planning on offering any explanations, either. Her eyes lit up the moment she saw Haru, and without hesitation she whipped out a Poké Ball.

"You've been looking for me, haven't you?"

She looked thrilled, with a kind of feverish intensity on her face that went beyond just fighting spirit—it carried something else too. Something Haru, after spending so much time around Lusamine, could easily recognize: desire, in a more carnal sense.

Clearly, this so-called "Queen of Lust" wasn't just some title others had slapped on her—she really did have those kinds of urges.

Haru calmly studied the girl in front of him, then stepped forward to shield Lillie and the others behind him.

"Why you, Nemona?"

From all the clues so far, it seemed like she really was the source of Kitakami's distortion. But Haru couldn't shake the feeling that there had to be more to it. Some special reason why Nemona would align herself with "lust."

"Because I want to! Let's battle—whether it's under the sheets or on the battlefield, I don't care!"

Nemona had completely let loose. Her eyes turned a deep violet, and just looking at her now gave off an aura of corruption.

Her words came out in a tone so frenzied, it was hard for any normal person to comprehend.

"Oh, I know! Another option—we can have a Trainer battle while having a Pokémon battle in bed!"

"Only truly strong Trainers can laugh last!"

"..."

Haru was speechless.

What kind of insane ruleset was this? Battle "in bed" while also issuing commands to your Pokémon?

Would those poor Pokémon even be able to focus if, mid-fight, they suddenly heard… certain sounds coming from their Trainer?

Mew definitely couldn't.

Meanwhile, Ogerpon seemed to be reacting to something in her, bouncing restlessly around Haru as if sensing something. He started to wonder—was the Poké Ball Nemona held her final Loyal Three partner… or maybe even Pecharunt himself?

"Well, whatever. Guess I'll just have to subdue you first."

Haru shook his head, then gestured for Ogerpon to step forward.

"Ogerpon, it's time for revenge."

"It's time to make this Queen of Lust bow beneath our club."

Honestly, Haru could've just sent out Flutter Mane or Mew. Either one would've been more than enough to deal with Nemona, who hadn't fully matured into her Champion form.

But in the end, he chose Ogerpon.

After all, everything in Kitakami had begun with Ogerpon and Pecharunt—so it was only fitting that things ended with them too.

And clearly, Ogerpon had no intention of letting this chance for vengeance slip by.

As soon as Haru finished speaking, Ogerpon stopped bouncing around and moved to stand protectively in front of him.

"Ummaah~~!"

She pulled out her spiked club, glaring at Nemona with open hostility.

Though perhaps because she'd already reclaimed two of her masks, and was only facing one of the Loyal Three alongside Pecharunt, she actually showed a rare bit of disdain.

Four Pokémon—including all three Loyal Three plus Pecharunt—had once been beaten down by her even with just one mask. Now it was one-on-one. Surely this would be a simple beatdown.

Their casual attitude made Lillie nervous.

She'd heard about Nemona from Haru before.

According to him, Nemona had the "poise of a Champion."

And not just any Champion—she was stronger than most at that level, a true prodigy.

So was it really okay for Haru to fight her with just Ogerpon?

If it were Necrozma, Lillie wouldn't be worried at all. But Ogerpon…

She honestly wasn't confident.

A sub-legendary wasn't invincible, after all.

And to make matters worse, Ogerpon's dismissive attitude immediately enraged the Rocket Grunts Nemona had brought with her—though they were clearly under some sort of psychic control.

Ridiculous as it might seem, they were treating Nemona the Queen of Lust as their "god."

Haru and Ogerpon's scorn was, to them, nothing short of blasphemy.

"How dare you! Is that any way to speak to the Queen?"

"Do you know who you're facing? Nemona is god! She's the strongest Trainer in the world!"

"Hah, all that arrogance won't save you—soon you'll be kneeling before her."

Nemona herself, however, didn't seem the least bit offended by their attitude.

Her mind was full of only one thing: battle.

If she could beat Haru in this fight, she'd force him to his knees and drag him off for more battles.

If she lost? That was fine too—at least she'd have gotten beaten down. And maybe Haru would "get carried away" afterward and drag her off for more "battles" anyway.

In the end, there was no such thing as winning or losing. Only small wins, medium wins, and big wins.

But neither Haru, Nemona, nor Lillie noticed Lusamine standing in the back, quietly taking notes.

She'd been observing Nemona's reactions the whole time, occasionally nodding in satisfaction.

And so, under the watchful eyes of all, the battle began.

"Okidogi, get ready to fight!"

Nemona's face burned with feverish excitement as she hurled her Poké Ball forward.

Despite its name, "Okidogi" looked far more like a hulking black bear than a dog, towering much larger than one would expect.

Its body was covered in dark fur, though patches of sickly green streaked across its lower half. Around its neck hung a strange purple "scarf" trailing upward like a twisted banner.

That "scarf" wasn't fabric at all, but the toxic chain formed after consuming Pecharunt's poisonous mochi.

Like the other Loyal Three, it carried a shared trait: a 30% chance to badly poison foes when hitting them.

Though honestly, that ability was pretty lame. A flat 30%? You'd be better off just using Toxic.

And just like Munkidori and Fezandipiti before, Okidogi didn't seem eager to obey its Trainer—but for some reason, it couldn't resist Nemona's command.

Haru's first move was clear.

He had Ogerpon don the Wellspring Mask, then immediately pulled out his Terastal Orb and threw it toward his eager Pokémon.

"Come forth—Ogerpon, Terastallize!"

Crystals enveloped Ogerpon, exploding into brilliance.

The Wellspring Mask on her face expanded, transforming into a massive crystalline shield with the faint shape of a weeping visage—representing sorrow.

"Ogerpon—Water Form!"

Now her typing shifted from Grass/Water/Poison to pure Water, erasing her weakness to Poison. With STAB boosted further, she was both bulkier and deadlier.

That was the true advantage of Terastalization: combining defense and offense.

But Nemona wasn't about to be outdone. She eagerly tossed her own fully charged Terastal Orb toward Okidogi.

"Terastalizing, huh? I've got one of those too!"

Unlike Ogerpon's unique transformation, her Okidogi became a crystalline beast crowned with a giant purple skull gem, shifting its typing from Fighting/Poison to pure Poison.

The beast roared with newfound vigor, convinced its power had multiplied. For the first time, it felt like it might actually stand a chance against Ogerpon.

This was its day of redemption—it would prove it wasn't just some loser.

At the very least, it had to win this solo match.

But Haru barely glanced at it before giving his command, voice cold and calm:

"Ogerpon, Thorned Club. Smash its skull in."

"Hit it hard enough and it won't dare breathe in our direction again."

"Ummah~!"

Before the dog could react, Ogerpon swung her club down mercilessly.

Though Thorned Club was normally Grass-type and resisted by Poison, Ogerpon's Wellspring Mask shifted it to Water-type, bypassing that entirely.

The strike landed with brutal force.

Nemona countered without hesitation.

"Okidogi, use Gunk Shot!"

Gunk Shot was a high-power Poison move with a 30% poison chance—but only 80% accuracy. And as every Trainer knew, anything below 100% accuracy might as well be 0%.

Still, reality wasn't a game. Nemona had her Okidogi fire at the ground instead, flooding the field with a pool of toxic sludge.

Now any battle within that zone would inevitably be poisoned.

"Field control, huh? Fine. Then we'll switch to ranged mode. Ogerpon, throw your club and shift to projectiles."

Obediently, Ogerpon hurled the spiked club straight at the dog's head, smacking it mid-setup and leaving a nasty bump.

"..."

Even the Rocket Grunts cheering Nemona on fell silent. This wasn't how they imagined it going at all.

But Nemona's cheeks flushed red.

"So strong! Amazing, amazing! You, Trainer—you delight me!"

"When I defeat you, I'll definitely…"

Her body shivered, and then she finally let out a long sigh of relief.

"Hu~ finally out."

"???"
