Francis had to drag Peggy away from the center and back to his house. Shane had never seen his mom so excited in his life. He remembered his father said that she had a real zest for learning and educating others, and he figured that this was what he meant.
Peggy had not paid any attention to her communicator—in fact, she had set it on silence during the exhibit's tour. Wallace had tried to contact her seven times. She hoped he wasn't too upset.
She picked up her communicator and called Wallace to make sure everything was okay.
They spoke, and with a very shaky voice, Wallace asked if she could see if it was okay for Shane to spend another night because he needed a little time to recuperate. When she got home, he would feel better.
