Denton came out of the kitchen and stood listening to his father talking jibber jabber to Wallace. "When you decide to rescue the guy, Wallace, have you ever played small billiards before?" he interrupted.
"It's just like regular billiards but it's a smaller table and smaller balls because we don't have a lot of room here. Why don't I rescue you and let father catch up on his reading? It's going to be a while before supper's finished since Irving was running late with the extra supplies."
"I'd be pleased to try out this new style game," Wallace thanked Denton for the rescue. He bid Lester goodbye and the two guys went to the back rooms.
Francis stuck his head out to check on Lester when he noticed Wallace was gone. "Where is our guest at, husband?"
"Dalton took him to the back to play small billiards. Now I can catch up on my reading while you and Irvin finish supper," Lester replied.
