"Infinity Castle, Annihilation Thunder Descends!"

"Hey, you, Upper Moon One," Aoki said to Kokushibo with a sarcastic tone after their strategy session. "You're that Sengoku-era swordsman who used Sun Breathing, right?"

"You don't think just because you've lived a long time you're invincible, do you? To me, only your status as Upper Moon One makes you worth my attention. After all, you're the strongest of the Twelve Kizuki, so…"

"A relic of the past. Don't come out and make a fool of yourself."

Kokushibo's body visibly trembled. His six eyes slowly turned to Aoki, a hint of barely contained anger flickering across his face. "What did you say? Dare you repeat that?"

Aoki obliged. "I said, a relic of the past. Don't come out and make a fool of yourself!"

"Clang!"

The next second, Kokushibo appeared before Aoki, his blade slashing. Aoki, with his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan activated, blocked the attack, but Kokushibo's terrifying speed still left him drenched in a cold sweat.

"You dare insult me, a relic of the past? You're truly audacious. You will pay for your words," Kokushibo said, his gaze cold and his aura shifting, becoming as oppressive as a mountain.

Terrified by Kokushibo's speed, Gyomei Himejima and Sanemi Shinazugawa exchanged a look, nodded, and simultaneously charged at Kokushibo.

"Amaterasu!" (Amaterasu)

Aoki focused his right eye on Kokushibo. Black flames immediately erupted across Kokushibo's body. The searing pain forced him to recoil, but he didn't cry out like Akaza or Hantengu.

"These black flames… they corrode my cells, preventing regeneration, don't they? Akaza and Hantengu were hit with this… but until now, I've had no idea how it's activated," Kokushibo said slowly, observing the flames consuming him. He tried to sever the burning parts of his body with his sword, as Hantengu and Akaza had done, but Gyomei Himejima and Sanemi Shinazugawa's attacks forced him to defend himself.

"Trying to stop me from severing the burning flesh to let the black flames consume you? An interesting tactic, but rather impractical," Kokushibo said calmly, deflecting their attacks.

Meanwhile, Aoki didn't join the three-way fight, instead using his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan for microscopic observation, searching for Kokushibo's weaknesses. While Kokushibo might not show openings against Gyomei Himejima and Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Amaterasu flames were slowly consuming his cells, forcing a reaction. Any reaction, however slight, would reveal a weakness.

Gyomei Himejima and Sanemi Shinazugawa fought with all their might, but Kokushibo was too strong. Even at full power, they felt immense pressure.

"Gyomei-san, do you really believe Aoki's claim? That he can defeat Upper Moon One with a single move? You don't actually believe his nonsense, do you?" Sanemi Shinazugawa asked during a brief opening in the fight.

"I don't know, but Aoki has no reason to lie. We have no chance of defeating him without any sacrifices otherwise," Gyomei Himejima replied.

The three continued their fierce exchange, Kokushibo unleashing sixteen forms of Moon Breathing—more than Sun Breathing. This wasn't surprising; Moon Breathing had existed for centuries, constantly refined by Kokushibo, while Sun Breathing had been lost for years.

However, as their stamina dwindled, Gyomei Himejima and Sanemi Shinazugawa faced increasing pressure. The Amaterasu flames had almost entirely consumed Kokushibo's abdomen, yet Aoki remained motionless, his gaze fixed on the battle.

Finally, Gyomei Himejima and Sanemi Shinazugawa revealed openings, which Kokushibo exploited, defeating them both with a single strike.

Kokushibo raised his sword, about to sever his lower body, when Aoki finally saw his chance.

Focusing both eyes on Kokushibo, he unleashed another of his dojutsu abilities.

"Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Annihilation Thunder!"

The instant Kokushibo swung his sword, a deafening roar echoed. The entire Infinity Castle shook violently, felt by everyone inside.

The next second, the ceiling of their building shattered, and a black thunderbolt, faster than the wind, struck Kokushibo, creating a massive storm and cloud of smoke.

Instinctively, everyone covered their faces.

When the storm and smoke cleared, Kokushibo was still standing, but half his body was gone, his flesh writhing as it slowly regenerated. The Amaterasu flames had vanished.

Superficially, Kokushibo seemed unharmed, ready to recover to his peak.

But only he knew he was defeated. The thunderbolt, besides inflicting severe damage, had begun to decompose his cells. Within minutes, he would die, with no way to change his fate.

He slowly lowered his sword, gazing at the shattered ceiling, the image of a figure—almost identical to himself—appearing in his mind. He knew that even with millennia, he might not reach that figure's level.

"Am I finally going to fade away? This must be what you wanted most, Yoriichi."
