Ren was sitting near the window on the right—still thinking about the girl he had just met on the bus. Suddenly, the guy sitting in front of him started talking. The guy had thick eyebrows and a smile with a dimple. Anyone could see that he had a certain charm about him. His name was Jade.
During break time, Jade introduced himself, and the two of them headed to the canteen together. As they walked, Ren kept glancing at the classroom next to theirs—hoping to see her again. But she wasn't there.
At the canteen, students from different year levels crowded the space. The line was packed, and it was hard to get in. Not wanting to squeeze through the crowd, Ren left Jade there and went back to the classroom.
On the way back, he ran into her on the stairs. He panicked—unsure of what to do. Quickly, he pulled the towel from his pocket, covered his face, and acted like he didn't care, hoping she wouldn't notice him. Then he hurried up to the classroom and sat down, replaying what had just happened in his head.
