Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: O'Hara's Survivors

The reason why the Twin Capes are called the Twin Capes is because of the lighthouses on both sides of the entrance to the Grand Line.

The lighthouse is located on a slightly lower red soil land. Although it is low, it is already very high for the Death Star. However, there is a rope ladder under the lighthouse that can be climbed up.

The ship dropped its anchor and docked next to the rock wall. Sager led his men to the lower land and climbed up using a rope ladder.

Below the lighthouse sits a rectangular house with a bench at the door. An old man wearing a floral shirt and with a flowery head was folding an umbrella that was placed nearby. When he saw someone coming up, he turned his head to look over, and his eyes met those of Sager and the others.

Then, there was silence.

Renetia raised her eyebrows and looked into the old man's eyes for a long time. She couldn't help but ask, "Birdman?"

The old man's pupils shrank, and he stared at Renetia. His eyes seemed filled with solemnity and murderous intent. That look made Renetia serious and put her hand on the small hammer behind her.

"I'm not a birdman, I'm just an old man."

The old man then said, "It's a decoration on the head."

"Who asked you?" Renetia's eyes rolled back and she cried out.

"Alright, alright."

Sager rubbed Renetia's pink hairy head, looked at the old man, and said, "Isn't he the keeper of the lighthouse at Gemini Cape? I want to ask you."

"Before asking questions, shouldn't you introduce yourself?"

The old man interrupted Sager and said, "Otherwise it would be very rude."

Sager curled his lips and said, "Okay, I'll call."

"Norton Sager, I've seen your bounty. A bounty of 70 million is very high in the East China Sea." The old man made another steal.

A vein popped out on Sager's forehead, he rolled up his sleeves and said angrily: "You don't know how to die!"

"Of course someone will die."

The old man stretched out his hand and stopped Sager from moving forward. The solemnity and seriousness in his eyes stunned everyone.

"Me." He pointed at himself and said the following words.

"It's you!" All the pirates following behind him turned pale and shouted at him in unison.

Renetia angrily took out a tool hammer, twisted the hammer handle with her fingers and quickly stretched it out, and raised both hands to hit him with the hammer, but was stopped by Marika and Lily.

Sager waved his hand to the side, and Palu trotted over, took out a cigar and handed it to him with both hands. After Sager took it, he diligently lit a match and waited for the cigar to light.

Sager bit the cigar and took a few deep puffs, exhaled the smoke, and then said, "Old man, you..."

"My name is Crocus."

"Ah?!" Sager was stunned.

"Crocus, 71 years old, Gemini, AB blood type, favorite food is grilled giant squid." The old man continued.

"Sager, why are you so surprised?" Renetia asked puzzled.

"I don't know. It's an inexplicable feeling. Never mind. It's not important."

Sager shook his head, almost laughing out of anger, and looked at Crocus, "Old man, are you really not afraid of death?"

"Who would fear death as a man on the sea? I am already 71 years old and I don't have much time left to live."

Crocus put away his umbrella, sat on the bench, and said, "So, what is a man like you doing looking for a mere guard like me? Also, you seem to be injured. Do you want treatment? I have some medicine here that is suitable for recuperation."

"doctor?"

Sager was stunned again. The doctor, the guard, and the one who called Crocus

"It's you?"

He suddenly realized, "Roger's crew."

"Roger?"

The people at the back were all stunned.

"Goldo Roger?" Marika opened her eyes which had been smiling all the time.

"One Piece?" Lily was a little dazed.

As for Ajin and Palu, their eyes lit up.

"It's Gol D. Roger, little girl."

Crocus glanced at Marika, his expression unchanged, and said, "Are pirates nowadays collecting intelligence from decades ago? But I'm just an old man now, and I was a crew member a long time ago."

"That kind of thing doesn't matter."

Sager came up to him and stretched out his hand, saying, "Since you are a member of the Pirate King's crew, you must have Raftel's Permanent Pointer. Give it to me, don't make me snatch it."

Although he was not interested in becoming the Pirate King in this way, Sager certainly believed that the "connected great secret treasures" existed.

There's a treasure within easy reach, why not take it?

"There is no such thing. If there was, I wouldn't be a guard here. I would have been offered a reward by the government long ago."

Crocus shook his head and said, "Although I am a member of Roger's crew, I am only a ship's doctor. I have no power and no bounty."

"Eh? Does Raftel really exist?" Renetia asked in surprise, "I thought it was just a legend. Sager, he's just a weird old man now. Does he really have a pointer?"

"ah"

Sager thought for a moment and said, "I feel like if the name contains Kuro and Cass, then there should be one."

"My name is Crocus, not Kuro and Cass."

Crocus glanced at them and said, "You don't seem to have a record compass either. You can't sail on the Grand Line without one. Unfortunately, I gave mine to a pirate who also came out of the East China Sea a few days ago. It seems that you were offered a bounty at the same time."

"Straw Hat Boy?"

Lily said, "The pirate with a bounty of 30 million."

Marika asked, "There are no extra pointers. Will they be replenished? Old man, if they are replenished, how long will it take?"

"I don't know, maybe a month, maybe half a year."

Crocus shook his head and said, "I don't recommend you sail without a compass."

"I'm afraid we can't do without sailing."

Lily looked back at the sky. It was clearly clear, but she closed her eyes slightly, feeling the breeze blowing from somewhere, ruffling her golden wavy hair.

"Sager, there's a wind coming, very strong."

"Walk!"

Sager gritted his teeth, threw the half-smoked cigar on the ground, turned and left.

Since there was no pointer, there was no point in wasting time here, and he trusted Lily's judgment.

The navigator with excellent theory just lacks the basics, not the ability. Lily, who has been exposed to a lot of practical operations in the East China Sea, has proved through practice that her theory is not wrong.

"Eh? Even if there's wind, it's okay. My boat has withstood the test." Renetia was still a little confused.

But soon, she understood why Sager left so abruptly.

As they stepped onto the deck, the breeze suddenly grew stronger and turned into a strong gale that could create huge waves.

Crash!

The huge wave just rose and fell below the Death Star, raising a tsunami-like raging wave, lifting the Death Star up. The violent wind blew, pressing everyone on the deck to the ground, and even pressing the ship to the side.

At this level, the pirates in charge of driving the power in the engine room could not make any adjustments. All they could adjust was the speed of the ship, but they had no way to stop the strong winds and huge waves that overturned the ship.

"You must be joking!"

Renetia opened her eyes wide, pressed her hands on the deck, and a thin layer of blue veins appeared on her neck.

"My boat will not sink under such circumstances. This is too unfair!"

The sparks of power

were transmitted from her palms to the entire ship, adding a layer of power to the ship that was tilting to the side, and actually straightened it back up.

The raging waves poured forward, carrying the Death Star into the distance, and the sudden strong wind blew the ship far forward.

No need for canvas or power, the flow of wind and waves alone carried the boat away from the Twin Capes at a rapid speed and disappeared.

But what is amazing is that when the fierce winds and raging waves encountered the Twin Capes, it seemed as if they had encountered a barrier, and except for a little scattered sea water rain, it did not affect the land at all.

"Gu! Gu!"

There was even a news bird that took off from the other end and landed unscathed at Twin Capes.

"It feels like we're being targeted."

Crocus looked in the direction where the ship disappeared, threw a coin into the box hanging on the Newsbird's chest, and shook his head: "Strange man."

He took out a newspaper, unfolded it and took a look at it, and his pupils shrank.

"Why is the price so high? Did they destroy a section of the Bridge Kingdom bridge and rob the town of Rogue? That shouldn't be that high."

He pursed his lips and suddenly sighed: "The sea is always so lively."

Naval headquarters.

In an office with a plaque that reads 'Justice Reigns Over the World'.

Garp took out a senbei and took a bite, laughing as he chewed: "Hahahaha! Are you going to hide it?"

"Garp!!"

On the inside of the desk, a man with a long braided beard and round-framed glasses stood up suddenly and said angrily, "It's all because of you! If you had arrested him in the Bridge Kingdom, there wouldn't be so much trouble!"

"Sengoku, you can't blame me for this. He escaped, but it's not that I didn't chase him. Haha!" Garp laughed with his head back.

"Shut up! You always do something inexplicable. This old man and He have to clean up after you. It takes a lot of energy!"

Sengoku glared at Garp, reached out to snatch Garp's bag of senbei, and poured it directly into his mouth.

"Ah! My senbei!" Garp shouted with his mouth wide open.

"snort!"

Sengoku threw the bag and shouted, "Now even Zephyr can't catch him. Although it's because of asthma, it also means that this guy is getting more and more difficult to deal with! Up to now, he has destroyed the Kingdom of Bridge and robbed Rogue Town. The complaints of those nobles have come to me, but it turned out that I can't recover their property at all."

Bang!

He slammed his hand on the table. "We have to hide something that neither you nor Zephyr can catch, but the destruction of four kingdoms alone makes his threat incomparable to that of a rookie pirate. There is no way to increase his bounty to such a high level. We must get rid of him before he enters the Grand Line!"

There happened to be a bounty warrant where the hand was clapping.

It was still the same face of Sager laughing wildly amidst the ruins of destruction and fire, but the bounty underneath was

"Two hundred and seventy million? Even if this old man and Zephyr didn't catch him, it's still a bit high for a rookie pirate, hahahahaha!"

Garp glanced at it and laughed again.

"No, fighting with you and Zephyr and escaping is only one of the reasons. There is another reason. In the East China Sea, we found information about Norton Sager."

Sengoku's expression became solemn, and he said slowly:

"He is a survivor of O'Hara."
