Jaden's words left Darkness stunned. "Could it be..."
He whipped his head around to look at the monster on his side of the field: Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
"That's right! The target I'm choosing for this Fusion is your Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" Jaden shouted, his fist clenched tight.
As his voice faded, the small white Buster Whelp perched on Buster Blader's shoulder let out a long howl. With a sudden leap, it soared toward Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
"What is this..." Darkness's expression shifted. "What's going on with this spirit?"
"Awoo!" The white Whelp let out an adorable yet fierce roar at the black dragon.
At that moment, Buster Blader, who had been standing still, snapped his eyes open. He gripped the hilt of the greatsword on his back and charged toward Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
"Damn it!" Darkness looked at his hand in a panic. There was nothing he could do.
Jaden was simply too proficient with Fusion Summoning. To think he could even use his opponent's monsters as material at will...
"Hah!" Buster Blader let out a sharp cry.
His greatsword swept through the air, slicing through the body of Red-Eyes Black Dragon with blinding speed.
"Roar!" Red-Eyes Black Dragon erupted in a shrill scream of agony.
Black blood sprayed everywhere, instantly staining Buster Blader's greatsword and his armor. Under the influence of the dragon blood, his armor began to undergo a transformation. Dragon scales started to sprout along the length of the greatsword.
Red-Eyes Black Dragon's body twisted and distorted, merging into Buster Blader. A vortex of fusion energy swirled around them, swallowing the warrior and the dragon alike.
When the vortex finally dissipated, snow-white scales covered the swordsman's body. His originally emerald-green eyes now burned with a crimson light, fueled by the boiling dragon blood.

A holy light descended. That power, enough to strike terror into the hearts of ten thousand dragons, caused Darkness's Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to tremble uncontrollably. Its body curled up instinctively in a defensive posture, its eyes filled with sheer dread.
"How is this possible... even Red-Eyes is surrendering to this power?"
"This strength... it completely suppresses all Dragon type monsters..." Darkness muttered in disbelief, his eyes wide with shock.
"Amazing... He forced the opponent's monster into submission with nothing but his presence."
"The Dragon Slayer truly is formidable," Alexis remarked with deep emotion.
But then, a thought occurred to her. "Wait... if Buster Blader can fuse with any Dragon type monster, why didn't Jaden choose Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon?"
"Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon's attack power is far higher than the standard Red-Eyes Black Dragon... and it even has an effect that allows it to Special Summon a Dragon type monster once per turn."
Alexis wasn't the only one confused. Even Ash Blossom, standing beside Jaden, was silently analyzing his move.

[Red-Eyes Black Dragon], [Troop Dragon], [Spear Dragon] were in the Graveyard, and [Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon] was on the field.

If he couldn't find a way to break this situation this turn... at this point, he had only one choice.
Darkness looked at the card in his hand and shouted, "I activate the Spell Card, Cards of the Red Stone!"
"By sending one Level 7 Red-Eyes monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I can draw two cards! Then, I send another Level 7 Red-Eyes monster from my Deck to the Graveyard."
"I send Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon from my hand to the Graveyard and draw two cards!"
As long as he could draw, he could find a way out of this... Even though discarding a Dragon would increase Buster Blader's ATK even further, this was his only lifeline.
"Jaden... to think you could push me this far. You truly are an opponent that cannot be underestimated."
"Ash Blossom."
Just as Darkness reached for his deck to draw, Jaden suddenly played a card.
"On it! Leave it to me!"

Watching Ash Blossom send his Cards of the Red Stone straight to the Graveyard, Darkness was left dazed. What was wrong with this card spirit?
"The effect of Ash Blossom can be activated when the opponent activates a monster, spell, or trap effect that would add a card from the Deck to the hand, Special Summon from the Deck, or send a card from the Deck to the Graveyard," Jaden said with a cold sneer.
"Once per turn, I negate that effect!"
A chilling smile played on Jaden's lips. If he simply wanted to win this duel, it would have been too easy and boring. What Jaden enjoyed most was watching his opponents struggle against despair, only for him to personally extinguish their last flicker of hope.
"Jaden Yuki..."
Looking at the boy with the cold smile, Darkness felt a wave of icy dread wash over him. This... this person...
