Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 °•○●

As he walked, he couldn't read the file in his hand in the dark, so he opened the system panel for who knows which times.

"System!"

°•○●

*Name: Orion

*Gender: Mal-co (Male)

*Type: Humanic (Humanoid)

*Age: 18 (Soul: 30)

*Genetic Heritage: B-46 (Homo Sapiens)

*DNA Details: Locked

*Energy Type: Biological (Carbon-B)

At the very top of the system panel was a symbol consisting of thick and thin circles. At first, he thought it was an infinity symbol, but after thinking about it in a little detail, it must be a logo.

Then there was his name in the game. His own name wasn't Orion, but he was sure he had registered this name in the game because it was usually his nickname in games. That was why he answered with this name when the NPC Thalia asked.

The system's voice had also been calling him Orion since the first time it spoke to him. That's why Orion thought he had chosen a nickname at a time he couldn't remember, way before opening his eyes on the exam battlefield.

His doubts about his memory were very deep.

Exactly when did I enter a game? After falling asleep at night? Could I have been kidnapped?

He had too many questions, but there was no one to answer them.

Looking at the panel a little more closely, he found the gender section strange. Because the very existence of such a "gender" section and its appearance on the character detail page suggested that there were more than two genders.

Or is there something else about the method of reproduction in this game?

Fu-ta? No way!

Among the other characteristics, the most interesting one was his age. Although other things were important, such as having a biological body below or being categorized as "Humanoid," they were not as important as his age.

Age: 18 (Soul: 30)

Soul age is 30, huh. I don't get what my real age has to do with the game.

But why a game company would care so much about a player's age? Is it due to sexual scenes and sensations with NPC's?

But I have to give them credit; it's clear they are trying to make a realistic game.

Orion stopped walking to look at the two Moons in the sky, one large and one normal-sized.

One was the normal Moon he was used to, while the second was much larger. The normal one was almost the same distance and size as the one on Earth. The other, despite being several times larger, looked like they had put it far away in the background.

In fact, both were in two different directions from a perspective point of view, and even the shapes on them were different.

Terrifying...

It was a horrible sight that created a strange, rejecting sensation in his stomach.

Seeing one or two Moons different from what he was used to might be very normal on a computer screen. But seeing it with your own naked eyes, in a real night scene, was extremely nauseating.

...

Minutes later, when Orion reached the administration building, he entered through the open door, even though the lights weren't on, and approached a man sitting at the reception.

"Good evening."

"HAH!"

The officer, who was reading a book under a small desk lamp, almost wet himself from fright.

"You startled me! What are you doing here at this hour?"

"They sent me for my physical check." Orion struggled to keep from smiling.

"Follow me."

The man put his book on the table, picked up the small gas lamp in his hand, and walked into a wide side corridor. He took out a file and a pen from a small cabinet and started filling out some parts himself.

He was acting like a hospital receptionist who had done a piece of paperwork hundreds of times and no longer cared much about the job. His eyes had started to glaze over again after the initial surprise. He was an ordinary officer who wanted to finish this job quickly and relax in his chair.

As they walked, they first went through a narrow but very long corridor and then climbed a few stairs.

Each floor had similar narrow but long corridors and similar wooden doors. Since all the buildings Orion had seen before coming to this one were very magnificent, ostentatious, and wide, he was sure this building was just an ordinary place to handle paperwork.

Like everywhere else, even in this famous school, the student affairs building was smaller, narrower, and less costly than the others.

They reached a metal door, the first metal place he had seen in the entire building, at the very end of the long corridor on the 3rd floor.

The door was slightly ajar. When the officer turned on the gas lamp on the wall of the room, he directed Orion with his hand to stand in the middle of the room.

"Your name?"

"Orion."

The officer approached a giant roll of paper hanging on the wall and started navigating through the stapled papers one after the other.

"What did you do in the exam?"

Orion didn't understand what to say at first because the man's question was a little strange.

"Look at the top ranks. My rank is 1."

The man searching for Orion's name couldn't find it even after struggling for half a minute. The moment he heard the word "1" from behind him, the finger navigating through the papers froze. Just as he was about to say something to the student behind him, his eyes involuntarily glanced at the very top of the list.

The surprised man froze completely, waiting for a few seconds without moving. It was clear he was thinking something deeply, but Orion didn't make a sound.

Because, before Orion could react, the officer turned to him with astonished eyes and scrutinized his entire body for a long time without saying anything. When he finally dared to speak again, he put on an awkward smile.

"Please do not step out of the small circle on the floor. Try to keep your breathing stable, Mr. Orion. It should be at a calm and regular pace. There is nothing to worry about."

The man had become polite so suddenly that even Orion was astonished.

"I am Merald, I will complete your test in the best possible way. You can trust me!"

The officer pressed the buttons on a small device next to the door and closed the door behind him before leaving. But what he said before the door closed was frightening.

"You shouldn't feel any pain normally. If you feel burning or chilling, give me an order and I will stop the process immediately. Good luck sir."

Order?

Does being ranked 1 in the exam really make this much difference?

During the process, Orion waited like an idiot in the middle of the room. There was neither a sound nor anything else unusual.

Minutes later, as he left the student administration building, Orion was left with a piece of paper thrust into his hand containing medical information and strange writings. He had received the results very quickly, but he didn't know what they meant.

As he sat in the courtyard, sinking into his own thoughts, he struggled not to scream when he saw that nothing had changed regarding his exit from the game.

Just let me out already!

An hour later he was still thinking about what was he suppose to do.

Orion was about to drown in his own thoughts. Bu suddenly he got up from the bench as the first light of day broke. He glanced at the clothes he was wearing and was sure he didn't look bad.

I'm calling in everyone, including the school principal, the FBI, and the President of America.

I'M GETTING OUT OF HERE!

One hour of desperation gave him a sudden impulse of adrenaline and so many crazy ideas.
