Kyren's POV

"Your highness." Elian bowed before the Alpha King, who arched a brow. "Can I borrow the rogue king for a while?"
Kyren tilted his head slightly, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Borrow, eh?
"Of course." The Alpha king nodded, flashing Elian a smile before turning to Kyren one last time. "I hope you enjoy your stay. Please, feel free."
Kyren's smile widened. "Oh, I most certainly will."
The Alpha king's eyes lingered on him for a couple of seconds before he walked in the direction they'd come from, leaving Kyren alone with Elian.
Well, "alone" was a stretch since he could hear a few guards just outside the garden maze. And then there was the small flock of birds flying above them.
"Are you spying on me, Elian?" Kyren finally focused his attention on his mate, taking a step closer to him. "Because you don't expect me to believe you were just casually lingering around these parts and decided to... Talk."
