~~~ [START]
Rebecca dashed to the very front, completely forgetting about Billy, who at that time she seemed to be assisting with his chair. Rachel almost said something, but Billy raised his hand, indicating that it was okay.
With that, she reached to the building, while both Rachel and Billy followed from behind.
THUD!
Opening the door, four boys came into view, they were half naked, and their bodies were filled with green mud, applied on their bodies like some type of medicine.
But before she could confront them, her eyes caught sight of Leah.
Who was standing at the far end of a corner, close to where the boys were laying.
Their eyes interlocked for a while, until Leah, whose expression once held a frown, slightly nodded to Rebecca, who after seeing her smiled back.
Billy and Rachel, then entered from behind her, their faces masking visible uneasiness, with hints of untold worry.
"Billy" Sam was the first to speak. As he almost jumped out from the mattress, but Billy raised his hand, which prevented him from doing so.
"What happened?" he asked, while Rachel, who was pushing his chair, made him near their laying figures.
Sam tried to speak, but his mind interrupted him, perhaps finally realising that he knew nothing.
and he stared for a while, trying to remember, but the memory just wouldn't come.
"I don't re…"
"It's fine" Billy interrupted him, shaking his head slightly, and inwardly questioning his resolve. He knew that vampires had strange abilities, and for a coincidence like this, it truly wouldn't be far stretched to believe that the Cullens had something to do with the Uley pack's predicament.
But why would they do it? That's the question that truly puzzled him.
"Why are you guys acting like you don't know what happened" suddenly, the oldest of the pack immediately spoke out, and the pack members all shared the same expression, one of absolute confusion. "Sam literally attacked me in front of you guys," and Sam raised a brow.
Billy moved his wheelchair close.
"He attacked you?" his face held confusion.
"Yes," the oldest replied, "he got so worked up after I asked him about Leah," and Sam growled from within. As Leah, who was listening to him speak, spoke nothing but listened.
"Then Tell us what happened", Belly continued his questions.
The oldest looked around and saw nothing but the confused glances of those who were staring at him. He only clicked his tongue, feeling as if it was only pretence, pretence only made to protect their leader.
His eyes drifted back to Belly, "we were…we…" his voice grew silent as he tried to remember.
And Billy, seeing this, only sighed, perhaps noticing his expression.
"You don't remember?" he asked again.
And the oldest shook his head, embarrassment growing with the passing of seconds.
Billy frowned inwardly, as he couldn't help but look away when he noticed Rebecca staring at him from the corner of her eyes.
He felt helpless.
So he drifted his eyes to Rachel, who nodded her head and pulled him in retreat.
Leaving a room of those who had forgotten their history.
Forgotten who they had become.
Memory caused to fade by 'he' they hated.
Hating what they understood, not.
"Sup, girl" Vlad spoke in an effort to soften his voice, and the girl that he was talking to seemed to see through all of his actions, like a dog looking through glass. "I just need a simple disco…"
"No," she refused him before he fully asked. And she couldn't help but slightly laugh as she saw him sigh and lightly bang his head on her desk in annoyance.
But his eyes suddenly turned red, and in less than a second, before she could even realise what had happened, she had already agreed to his request.
Was it magic? Was she hypnotized?
She truly didn't know, but whatever it was, the thought of refusal just simply didn't exist in the dome of her conscious mind.
She had already given him the paper of ownership, he had already signed the documents, and he was already given his 70% discount.
If Vlad didn't take initiative, she would probably lose her job, but he had manipulated the auditors to remove the corresponding information that housed the content of the bike he had gotten.
It was a complicated process, but it proved useful, because once he had entered the mind of the girl who had made his enormous discount possible, finding the auditors proved too easy, and manipulating the books seemed strangely similar.
Walking out, Vlad's face housed nothing, but a smile filled with pride, as if noting that his time as a bicycle driver had finally come to an end.
Finally, after a full on 'only God knows how many days', his fear of embarrassment had now found a reason to be instantly crushed, instantly.
As he walked out, a teen who was a bit older than him handed him the keys to his freshly newly bought baby.
And there it was, standing right next to his figure.
A honda titan 150.
If he didn't get the unearthly discount, then the bike would have cost him about 8 thousand dollars. A large margin of cash he sadly didn't have. And by doing what most would consider morally incorrect or evil, he saved about 70% of that cash.
Vlad truly wasn't evil, or someone who considered himself a thief, he was an opportunist.
An opportunist who did not technically seek out opportunities, he was one who made them.
And that, he accepted.
