Chapter 21 - The First Sun Wukong

The gods had seen battles before.

They had witnessed the breaking of divine blades, the collision of fate threads, the rising of Void Emperors, and the collapse of heavens from ancient transgressions.

But never—never—had they witnessed what came next.

Yi Zhen, cloaked in karmic purity and flowing Nirvanic peace, floated calmly with golden eyes ablaze.

Until the Monkey King rose from the edge of the universe.

He was silent now.

His hair flowed backward like a tail of ink.

And he spoke a single phrase.

> "It's time."

He slammed his staff into his chest.

The blow echoed through time.

The shockwave wasn't physical.

It was mythological.

It traveled across timelines.

It called to all his other selves.

From:

The Journey to the West

The Great Sage Equal to Heaven

The Heavenly General of the Jade Emperor

The Monster Sealed Beneath Five Peaks

The Sanzang's Disciple of Mercy

The Buddha-Reborn in Fire

The Sun Wukong of Other Skies, fiction, legends, stories, scrolls, beliefs…

And beyond—across fan legends, paracosmic branches, low-world pantheons, and even false digital realities.

ALL the Wukongs heard him.

And they all responded:

> "Let us become… the First."

> A scroll unravels in Yi Zhen's vision, showing Wukong sitting atop a massive mountain of ink, each page fluttering with a different life.

> He weaves each form into his staff, his hair turning white, gold, then glowing jade, his body absorbing countless truths.

> "He used belief as string. History as ink. Reincarnation as glue. He is becoming all versions—merged into one."

---

The battlefield darkened.

No light.

Only pressure.

And then—he appeared.

No longer just Sun Wukong.

But:

> "The First Sun Wukong."

He stood barefoot in space.

His body radiated script.

Each movement rippled across realities.

He was story and rebel, god and monkey, devil and saint.

---

He blinked.

And the universe trembled.

The gods watched in silence.

The First Sun Wukong raised his staff slowly.

It shimmered between shapes:

A monk's staff.

A planet-sized pillar.

A lightning whip.

A meteor trail.

A blooming lotus.

> "You purified yourself through Nirvana," he said, his voice layered with all his former selves speaking at once.

"But I am the sin that transcends correction. The story that refuses closure."

---

[Scan 3 – Strike of Mythic Convergence]

> Wukong spun the staff once—time rewound 3 seconds.

> He spun it twice—Yi Zhen's fate for this moment unraveled.

> He spun it a third time—reality itself paused to ask, "Are you sure?"

Then he vanished.

And appeared—

Behind Yi Zhen.

---

> "Technique: Heaven-Breaking Tao of the Original Sin Ape."

With a single blow, Yi Zhen was sent spiraling through Nirvana itself, smashing through planes of peace and reincarnation loops—until he was slammed into his own 100,000th soul body and all the pain of those lives surged at once.

Yi Zhen gasped.

Not in pain.

But in awe.

> "This… is the myth… that refused death."

---

Author Note (Terry):

> This moment is insane for one reason—this entire verse Yi Zhen lives in is a microcosm. A designed realm within a sea of higher mythic cosmologies. Yet even within that, the idea of the First Sun Wukong was so powerful that the microcosm's reality engine acknowledged and stabilized his existence. That means Wukong, the rebel, pierced the very editorial boundary of the narrative, and forced himself to be canon in a world not meant to contain him.
