Prologue and power system

135 years ago, the world ended in screams and chaos.

Portals tore open across every continent like festering wounds, spilling forth creatures that humanity couldn't comprehend. Two distinct forces emerged from the dimensional rifts—shadows that moved like living oil and lights that danced like captured starfire. Black and white. Simple colors that would determine mankind's fate.

For three days, they observed. The entities seemed almost curious, drifting through cities while humanity watched in fearful fascination. Children pointed at the glowing white orbs while parents pulled them close. The black ones flowed through streets like smoke, appearing harmless.

Scientists scrambled to study specimens. Governments ordered evacuations, attempting to relocate the mysterious beings to containment zones. But for every entity removed, dozens more poured from the bleeding sky.

Then hunger awakened in the darkness.

Black parasites struck with merciless precision. They invaded through every opening—mouths, eyes, wounds—turning loved ones into monsters. Children's laughter became screams as they tore into their parents with unnatural strength. Mothers wept while their hands strangled their babies, no longer in control of their own bodies. The parasites consumed everything with warm blood, twisting the entire food chain into humanity's enemy.

These Hollow shells of former life drove forward with endless hunger for human flesh.

The white entities chose differently. They bonded selectively with human hosts, fusing with them rather than consuming them. Humanity named these entities Symbolics, for they seemed to represent hope rather than destruction. These parasites granted extraordinary abilities to their chosen hosts—each bond unique to its host's potential. The chosen retained their humanity while gaining supernatural powers beyond normal human limitations.

They became mankind's final hope against the Hollow plague.

War erupted across the dying planet. Symbolic-bonded humans battled endless Hollow hordes in conflicts that reshaped continents. Cities crumbled. Mountains split. Oceans boiled from superhuman clashes that scarred the earth permanently. Yet even salvation carried deadly risk—when Symbolic hosts pushed beyond their limits, when exhaustion shattered their resolve, Hollow parasites could overwhelm and corrupt them, transforming protectors into humanity's greatest threats.

Among the evolved warriors stood one known simply as the Knight. His Symbolic bond had transcended normal limitations, granting him abilities that bordered on divine. As humanity's strongholds fell one by one, he made the choice that would echo through centuries.

Standing on the final battlefield, surrounded by countless corpses, the Knight entered a state beyond mortal comprehension. His body blazed with white energy as he channeled everything into creation itself. The ground trembled beneath his feet as massive stone and metal began rising from the earth. Higher and higher it climbed, stretching across the horizon like a mountain range turned vertical.

A colossal wall erupted from the battlefield, towering hundreds of feet into the sky and extending in both directions until it curved around the last bastion of human civilization. The structure pulsed with the Knight's energy, actively driving back the Hollow parasites in waves of repelling force. The creatures fled beyond the wall's reach, unable to approach the protected zone.

The Knight's body was never found after that day, but his creation stood firm. He would forever be known as humanity's greatest savior, the one who gave everything to secure their future. Scattered human populations from across the globe migrated toward the sanctuary, uniting behind the great barrier that promised safety.

Now, 135 years later, that wall shows its age. Cracks spread across its massive surface. The barrier flickers during storms, dims in winter cold, and grows thinner each passing year. Beyond the failing protection, evolved creatures wait in vast numbers. Generations of feeding have changed them—twisted spines marked by bone spikes that catalog their human kills, enhanced intelligence that makes them deadlier predators.

Humanity huddles within its shrinking sanctuary, training each generation for the inevitable war. The wall bought them precious time, but that time is running out. The Knight's sacrifice gave them 135 years to prepare.

The question remains: will it be enough?

# Power Classification System

## Human Evolution Classifications

### Generation Categories

**First Generation (Gen-1)**

Basic single ability manifestation. Most common bonding type with straightforward power expression.

**Second Generation (Gen-2)**

Dual ability wielders. Can control complementary powers like earth and metal, or water and ice. Significantly more capable in combat situations.

**Third Generation (Gen-3)**

Extremely rare. Possess battlefield-altering capabilities that can shift entire war zones. Legendary status among humanity's defenders.

### Mastery Levels

Symbolic bonding unlocks human potential through ten progressive levels. Practitioners advance from basic ability manifestation at Level 1 to mastery at Level 10, with each level representing exponential growth in power and control.

**Levels 1-10: Standard Progression Scale**

### Alpha Class Threat Assessment

Some warriors transcend Level 10 limitations entirely, achieving capabilities that go beyond normal human boundaries.

**S-Class**

**SS-Class**

**SSS-Class**

## Hollow Threat Classification

### Spike Hierarchy

Classification based on evolutionary spike markers and observed capabilities:

#### Zero-Spike: Blanks

Recently infected hosts with blank faces - no eyes or ears, only gaping mouths. Parasitic organisms visibly crawling beneath facial skin. Move with jerky, uncoordinated steps. Basic hunger-driven behavior.

#### One-Spike: Hunters

8 feet tall with rough, scaled skin. Hands as large as human heads. Single black spike between shoulder blades. Fast movement and cunning pack behavior.

#### Two-Spike: Torturers

Same height with thicker scales. Two curved spikes. Exhibit sadistic tendencies - enjoy torturing prey before feeding.

#### Three-Spike: Leaders

Three prominent spikes forming dorsal ridge. Command groups of lesser Hollows in coordinated attacks.

#### Four-Spike: Wraiths

Four spikes in paired formation. Develop supernatural abilities including matter phasing and toxic emissions. Reality begins bending around them.

#### Five-Spike: Commanders

Five spikes in crown formation. Command entire armies across vast territories. Possess unique powers.

#### Six-Spike: Lords

Six spikes creating intimidating crowns. Apex predators with devastating reality-altering abilities. Extremely rare - only three confirmed sightings in history.

### Beast Hollow

The entire food chain turned against humanity when portals opened. These corrupted creatures are categorized by evolutionary stage and threat level, from household pets to apex predators that command entire ecosystems.

**Categories 1-5: Ascending Threat Levels**

## Hollow Anatomy & Technology

### Core System

Every Hollow houses a parasitic core—a crystalline nest that serves as their life source. These cores embed randomly within the host body, typically behind the back, around the heart, or in the stomach cavity. Destroying or removing this core is the only permanent method of killing a Hollow, as they regenerate from any other damage.

### Anti-Hollow Technology

**Core Scanner**: Specialized detection equipment that locates core positioning within Hollow bodies through energy signature analysis.

**Anti-Hollow Compound**: Chemical agent derived from processed Hollow cores that weakens their regenerative abilities and disrupts their parasitic functions.

**Core Weaponry**: Weapons forged from extracted Hollow cores, designed specifically to pierce through their natural defenses and target vital systems.

**Barrier Technology**: Defensive systems that replicate the Knight's wall energy on smaller scales, creating temporary safe zones during combat operations.
