Once they felt Kaelmor's presence fading, Celestaria spoke.
"His nonsense grows by the day."
It was not loud.
Celestaria rarely raised her voice. Heaven trained its leaders to sound calm even while standing at the edge of cosmic collapse, because apparently panic looked unprofessional when wrapped in divine silk. Now Kaelmor was gone, and the glow beneath her skin was no longer pretending to be decorative.
