Chapter 1018 – True Form
Dark energy poured from Zehar like ink spilled into reality.
The little translucent body expanded.
And expanded.
And expanded more.
Gula grabbed her plate and pulled it close protectively.
Lullaby put her pillow over her head.
Corvus flapped backward onto the chandelier. "I knew it. I knew he would be dramatic."
The room groaned.
The walls actually groaned.
The wards surged in response, mansion sigils igniting across the ceiling and floors. Dark mist curled upward, forming jagged silhouettes behind Zehar. Horns. Wings. A crown-like shape. Too many hands. Too many eyes. A figure remembered by fear and inconvenience.
Zehar's voice thundered through the room. "At last…"
The table rattled.
"My form!"
His shadow rose nearly to the ceiling.
Then past it.
The chandelier swung wildly.
Lyra's expression tightened with the exhausted calm of a maid watching an immortal guest commit interior design terrorism.
Fenrir's growl echoed faintly from outside.
