Chapter 373 – You Have My Word
Lullaby didn't answer at first.
Then she closed her eyes. Her voice took on a distant quality, like she wasn't just talking to them—but to the dreamworld itself.
"Anchor is not chains," she murmured. "It's a memory with weight. A name that doesn't float away. An echo that says 'You are not alone.'"
Lux fell silent.
Even Sira blinked, letting the poetry sink in.
"If you give her a reason to hold on," Lullaby continued, "even if it's just a whispered promise… she'll walk out of this nightmare herself."
Lux stared at Ariel's face again.
Still sleeping.
Still fragile.
But something in her brow had relaxed. The way her lips parted. The lack of tension in her fingers.
He exhaled. "Alright. Then let's give her that reason."
Lullaby smiled. "Good. Now say something only she would know. A truth. A promise."
"What?"
"Doesn't have to be grand. Just real."
