The world was on the brink of annihilation.
But even so, Nawaki had no intention of leaving behind valuable resources—especially some promising Reincarnator candidates.
Even in lower-tier worlds, there were always individuals with exceptional combat potential. It was only the limitations of the world itself that held them back from rising further.
The Lord God System existed precisely to unlock their potential.
Letting such talents perish along with the world would be a waste.
Regardless of whether their mindset was suited for reincarnation, Nawaki decided to scoop up as many as he could. He selected a handful of individuals and designated them as Reincarnators.
Worst case? He could just eliminate the underperformers later. No big deal.
Originally, Nawaki had planned to bring Eren into the system as well. As the narrative protagonist, even if Eren's mindset and talent weren't the absolute best, they were at least decent.
But an unexpected restriction put an end to that idea.
"Children of Fate cannot be designated as Reincarnators by the Lord God."
This made perfect sense.
The Lord God's method of harvesting fate didn't only rely on destroying worlds—conquering them was also a valid path.
If a Reincarnator under the Lord God's command became the ruler of a world, that world's fate would gather upon them, turning them into the new Child of Fate. At that point, the Lord God could extract the world's fate directly from the Reincarnator and convert it into points.
But if the Lord God could manually designate a world's Child of Fate as a Reincarnator right from the start… well, what would be the point of conquering anything?
He could just jump from world to world, turning every Chosen One into a Reincarnator from the get-go.
Therefore, Children of Fate are protected by the Source of Fate. And for that source to be destroyed, the Chosen One must die first—creating a closed loop.
And so, poor Eren was directly abandoned by Nawaki.
Moreover, only native Reincarnators from a given world can become fate-bound rulers after conquering it.
That detail was especially important.

More than two days passed in the blink of an eye.
The world of the Titans had descended into an apocalyptic landscape.
The sun had completely dimmed, its glow flickering like a dying oil lamp. The surrounding sky was engulfed in blackness so profound it seemed to devour even light.
The sky resembled cracked glass at dusk, fractured throughout, and the upper atmosphere was filled with thick dust.
Occasional meteorites streaked down from above, but they disintegrated into dust before they could ever reach the ground.
The earth had long been buried in sand, and the last remnants of human architecture slowly crumbled under an unknown force.
Like dandelion seeds, the shattered stone fragments floated upward, drifting toward the sun that now hung dim and lifeless in the sky, dissolving into ever-finer particles as they rose.
Across every continent and corner of this world—everything was unraveling.
The once-mighty Titans had vanished without a trace.
The towering triple-walled cities were gone without a shadow.
Only scattered survivors wandered the desert wastelands, faces etched with fatigue and despair, awaiting the inevitable end of the world.
Thud.
Mikasa, wearing her signature red scarf, collapsed to her knees in the sand. The mangled corpse in her arms slipped to the ground with a soft thump.
Her lifeless eyes shifted slowly. In a rare break from her usual composure, she hurriedly scooped up the broken body again, her hands trembling.
She murmured:
"Eren… don't be afraid. I'm here.
You said you wanted to see the world beyond the walls… I'll take you there now…"
"Mikasa…"
In the distance behind her, Armin, the blonde boy, watched the girl who now seemed more like a walking corpse than a living person. His cracked lips moved slightly, but no sound came out.
He collapsed onto the ground behind him, staring blankly at the sky, his eyes filled with confusion and despair.
"When will this apocalypse end… or does it ever end at all?"
"Maybe, like Eren… death is the only peace left."
And similar scenes played out across the land.
A woman in a Scout Regiment uniform, glasses cracked, lay sprawled on the ground. Her voice was weak:
"Captain Levi… I… I can't go any further."
Levi, the man barely 160 cm tall, responded coldly without even turning his head:
"If you want to follow the commander into death… I won't stop you."
His steps didn't falter for a second as he walked forward into the sandstorm.
The woman lay in the dust, eyes blank, drowning in hopelessness.
Even if she kept walking… where was the end?
And then—
A calm, emotionless voice echoed in their ears:
[Welcome Reincarnators.]
In the next moment, everyone lost consciousness.

Meanwhile, atop a wind-swept hill of golden sand—
Madara, clad in crimson armor, stood tall. His long black hair billowed behind him, and a trace of solemnity flickered in his purple Rinnegan eyes.
Staring at the apocalyptic sight before him, he felt no pride in the destruction he had wrought.
Instead, a chill crept into his heart.
"So this… is what the end of a world looks like?"
He thought of a terrifying possibility:
"If this scene didn't unfold in a foreign world, but instead in the Shinobi World… what then?"
The Lord God had given him the task of destroying this world. But there was nothing stopping it from one day sending someone else to destroy his.
The thought made Madara's brow tighten slightly. He stared through the dusty, dying sun—as if peering into the void beyond, into the eyes of a being watching everything from above.
"I must resurrect Hashirama… and Izuna… as soon as possible."
"150,000 points… looks like I'll need to gather some precious relics—like the Gedo Statue—and turn them in to the Lord God."
As Madara pondered this, the world of the Titans reached its final moments.
The sun's light was finally devoured by darkness.
The ground split open.
Massive landmasses, wrenched by unnatural forces, were pulled into the sky like meteors in reverse—hurtling upward as the world collapsed inward.
Then the voice of the Lord God rang in his mind:
[All targets destroyed. Titan World annihilated.]
[Ascension mission complete. Reincarnation Space opening.]
[Rewards: 10,000 Points, Reincarnation Talisman ×1.]
[Mission complete. Final healing granted. Returning now.]
"Reincarnation Talisman… so it lets me return to a world I've already experienced?"
A strange light flickered in Madara's eyes as he read the item description.
Then, he stepped into a golden pillar of light and vanished—returning to the Reincarnation Space.
And as Madara disappeared from the Titan World—
That world finally collapsed completely.
Even space itself began to crack, like shattering glass.
Crack.
Snap!
The sun collapsed inward, becoming a pitch-black singularity—a swirling black hole.
The world folded in on itself and was swallowed.
Just ten minutes later, the Titan World ceased to exist.
Only a mysterious crystal remained—glowing faintly in the endless void of chaos. Its form was perfectly translucent, with a faint black line running through its center.
Nawaki's eyes gleamed with interest when he spotted it.
With a casual wave of his hand, he summoned it into the system.
