Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: “Sorry, I’m with the Marines”

Law sidestepped carefully, slipping through the gaps in the threads with Chiyo's help. He escaped the Birdcage's barrier. Then Chiyo, Team One (Might Duy, A, and Killer Bee) performed Transformation Jutsu to shrink into small children. Seeing their new forms, Corazon was stunned as they escaped together from the cage.

Might Duy may not specialize in ninjutsu, but even he knew the basics of the Transformation technique—truly a versatile skill.

---

Meanwhile, Black Zetsu arrived late at the Birdcage's edge, his face drained of color. He had just read Vergo's memories—including the Devil Fruit, Haki, and the Birdcage's mechanics—and realized this ability was nearly impossible to counter.

With no real way to break the Birdcage, the only options were either defeat Doflamingo himself or slip through the gaps. Zetsu tried forcing the cage apart but only shattered Vergo's arms in the process. Defeated, he merged into a pool of black ichor and exited the cage underground.

Zetsu's resentment burned inside him. He'd come prepared: formidable powers and plans. Yet in this mission, he'd contributed nothing. Twenty minutes was all it took—too little to operate in an unfamiliar world.

He needed a new vessel—something more powerful to truly unleash his strength.

Suddenly, a thought struck him: he recalled a scroll of options in the exchange menu back in the system:

Create Life

He could modify it—turn it into White Zetsu, add Sage cells… and use it as a spare.

Nawaki mused.

Finally, someone redeemed an option—no more losses! He planned to task Zetsu frequently with dangerous missions, so Zetsu would expend bodies—and Nawaki could resell the option to regain points.

Chaos turned into opportunity.

---

Black Zetsu and the group hurried off to the shore, aiming for the Marine battleship anchored nearby. Corazon had mentioned a Marine Admiral stationed there—someone even Doflamingo wouldn't dare confront directly during this crisis.

Two pirates overhead tried to intercept them, but Chiyo's puppets blocked them with ease.

At long last, when Chiyo's group reached Marine protection with Law in tow, Doflamingo had only just reached the edge of the Birdcage.

Corazon steadied himself—bloodied cigarette in his teeth—and pulled a flintlock pistol from a fallen pirate's body, pointing it at Doflamingo.

"This is Marine HQ. Lieutenant Commander Rosinante—Donquixote Pirates' captain Doflamingo. I'm here to stop you from unleashing the tragedies you intend. I infiltrated your crew…"

"I am a Marine."

"Answer me two questions."

Doflamingo, behind mirrored pink sunglasses, glared at Corazon, veins bulging with fury.

"Where's the Op-Op Fruit? Where's Law?"

Corazon smiled faintly.

"I gave the fruit to Law—he ate it, escaped the Birdcage, and is now under Marine protection."

Doflamingo's tone ran cold, laced with confusion and rage.

"Why all these lies? Why go so far to derail me?" He drew his own pistol, aiming it at Corazon.

"Why… force me to kill my own blood a second time?"

Bang.

---

[Ding!]

[Primary target deceased. Secondary target secured. Task complete. No bonus reward.]

[Initial Reincarnation Mission complete. Within the newbie protection period—you receive a one-time free heal. Returning now."]

Gold light cascaded through the sky, enveloping Chiyo and her team.

A surge of rejuvenating energy—fatigue vanished, chakra replenished, injuries healed in a single breath.

They blinked. When they opened their eyes again, they'd vanished from the snowy shore.

---

On the Marine battleship's deck, many sailors—including Law and the elderly Admiral—watched in astonishment.

What power was that?

Moments later, Marine Intelligence officers ran up to the Admiral.

"Admiral, Donquixote Doflamingo and his crew landed on Minion Island and executed a man in a black feathered coat right at the Birdcage's edge…"

"W-what… Corazon is dead?"

Little Law felt his mind go numb. A memory of Corazon's gentle face and last comforting smile filled his heart—tears welled and overflowed.

Law grasped his hands tightly, his mind consumed by a single resolve:

I will avenge Corazon.

At the same moment, in Law's mind, a voice softly but clearly echoed:

[Do you seek power? Is there someone you wish to bring back…]

Post-Mission Summary

Black Zetsu, Might Duy, Chiyo, A, Killer Bee, and Law completed their Reincarnation Mission. Lord God Nawaki teleported them back to the Shinobi World, and took the opportunity to initiate new Reincarnation entries in the Pirate World.

Back in the Naruto world, the First Reincarnation Space was steadily growing—now hosting fourteen participants across the villages, including top-genin and chūnin talents.

Nawaki anticipated the shinobi power spike would come in about ten years—when Kage-era talents like Kakashi, Might Guy, and Sasori matured. Meanwhile, the current recruits were more than enough to build toward that future.

But one world full of reincarnators wasn't enough. Even if the Naruto world grew far stronger than canon, a deity who only focused on one realm didn't merit godhood.

Hence, seeds planted during the Pirate World were now ripe for harvest. The Second Reincarnation Space was about to be launched.

Meanwhile, Uchiha Madara (as reincarnator "Zetsu") had reached his limit and was ready for an Ascension Mission—earning him access to his own Reincarnation Space.
