Colton's POV
A few weeks went by after the incident~
"Alpha Colton, the young miss is awake," Emily's voice sounded behind the door and I looked up from the pile of files on my desk. I grabbed my phone and quickly sent a message to Michael.
"Okay, Emily. I'll be there soon," I said, staring at Michael's reply. I locked my phone and stepped out of my study room. The first person I saw was Emily, however, her appearance was a little plain.
When she heard the news about what happened to Miranda, she drove to the hospital and donated her blood. She blamed herself all week, for if she hadn't left, Miranda none of it would have happened.
Michael tried to tell her it wasn't her fault, but his words flew out of the window.
There was nothing we could do about her. All we hoped was for her to forgive herself.
Hopefully, she will know nothing would have changed even if she were there.
"And that is all. Can you move your hand?" My father's voice came from Miranda's room.
