Chapter 4 - monster valley

Chapter 4: Journey to the Monster Beast Valley

Now that Veer had reached Warrior Level 8, his thoughts began to shift beyond the confines of Amar Nagar City. With his strength nearly unrivaled among his peers, he decided it was time to explore the world, to hunt stronger beasts, and gain more attributes.

The next morning, Veer packed his belongings: a single set of clothes, a small dagger, and some dry food. That was all he had. Quietly, without drawing any attention, he left through the city gates, blending in with a group of merchants.

His destination was the Monster Beast Valley—five hundred kilometers from the city. With his current speed as a Level 8 Warrior, he calculated that it would take him six days to arrive. The journey was mostly uneventful, interrupted only by the occasional beast encounter. Most of them were Level 4 or Level 5 beasts—not a threat to someone of his power.

Finally, on the sixth day, Veer arrived at the edge of the Monster Beast Valley. Dense forests loomed ahead, and the air buzzed with danger. He began his hunt at the outskirts, moving cautiously. As he stepped past a large tree, he suddenly felt a chill.

Without thinking, he dove sideways—just in time. A razor-sharp claw slashed through the space he had just vacated.

"A Wind Fury wolf," Veer muttered, spotting the white-furred beast. It was only a Warrior Level 3, weak by itself, but they were known to hunt in terrifying packs of hundreds.

He guessed there were at least fifty to a hundred of them nearby, and their pack leader could be as strong as Warrior Level 7 or 8.

No hesitation. Veer launched his Wind Blade. The sharp gust sliced clean through the wolf. But just then, dozens of white shadows darted from the underbrush—twenty more wolfs emerged, surrounding him.

Most were middle-stage beasts, easy to kill. But he was wary. The leader had yet to appear.

A loud roar shook the air.

A Level 6 Wind Fury wolf gave the signal. The group attacked in unison, surrounding Veer like a wave.

Calmly, Veer tapped the ground and leapt into the air. He unleashed ten Wind Blades in succession, then followed with multiple Fire Balls. Flames and gales tore through the white-furred monsters, burning and slicing them down.

Only two Level 6 wolfs remained.

Suddenly, a ferocious roar echoed from deep inside the jungle.

A massive, black-furred wolf leapt into the clearing. It was twice the size of any normal wolf, with glowing red eyes and an aura of bloodlust.

"A Level 8 Black Wolf," Veer muttered, his face turning serious.

He sent out a massive Wind Blade, tens of meters high, directly at the beast. But in the blink of an eye, the wolf vanished.

It reappeared near Veer and swiped at him with its claw. Veer quickly activated his Hawkeye skill. The world slowed. The wolf's movements became clear.

He dodged.

Again and again, they traded attacks. Veer used Wind Blades and dodged with Hawkeye. The Black Wolf retaliated with speed and strength.

But the fight was even. Neither had the upper hand.

Veer's energy began to wane. Every use of Wind Blade and Hawkeye drained his Natural Energy. Meanwhile, the Black Wolf seemed tireless.

Veer gritted his teeth.

He made a gamble.

He launched two Wind Blades: one direct, one angled toward where his Hawkeye had detected a weakness. Then, using his movement technique, he appeared right behind the second blade.

The wolf lunged at him.

The Wind Blade struck its neck.

A final roar—and then silence.

The Black Wolf collapsed. Its head rolled to the side.

Veer dropped to his knees, gasping for air.

"Today, the gods were with me..." he muttered. "That last attack... I gambled everything on it."

After a few moments, he managed to stand. Glimmering bubbles hovered in the air and scattered across the ground.

This part of forest almost ruined by veer fight he said ,

"System, collect all!"

A surge of energy rushed through his body. Chains inside him shattered like glass.

He had broken through.

Veer grinned. "Not bad. It's been just nine or ten days since I arrived in this world, and I'm already Level 9."

Most cultivators spent half their life reaching this stage. Any other warrior would want to beat him out of envy.

"Still," he said, "I need to work harder. The higher I go, the harder it is to level up."

He activated his new skill, Shadow Escape. His body dissolved into darkness. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared five hundred meters away.

"This speed... it's incredible!"

But there were drawbacks. The skill consumed Natural Energy rapidly. He couldn't remain in the shadows too long. Any physical attack while hidden would force him out.

Still, it was perfect for assassination, ambush, or retreat.

"I made a good harvest today," Veer said with a satisfied smile. "Time to find a cave and rest."

He disappeared into the forest, stronger than ever.
