Chapter 25 - [Author’s Note] – We hit 200 Chs in Main Plot!

Dearest, most wonderful readers,

Can you believe it? We've hit 200 chapters! 🎉 A massive, heartfelt thank you for joining me on this wild ride. Honestly, my brain is a chaotic storm of plot bunnies right now—and I'll admit, a good chunk of them are… let's just say, decidedly R18-esque! 😅

I'll be totally honest: I desperately want our protagonist to become powerful quickly (I'm as impatient as you are!), but my writing pace is… let's call it meticulously slow. So, a huge thank you for your incredible patience as I slowly lay the bricks of this world, explaining the various frameworks and backgrounds piece by piece.

I know it's a bit lazy that we're over 200 chapters in and I haven't fully spelled out all the rules of this world. You must have so many questions!

Is this world a planet?

A vast, flat continent?

How exactly are the cultivation realms divided?

What other religions exist besides the APS sect?

Is everyone running around in medieval Asian-inspired robes, and are all the ordinary people just living in dire poverty under the heels of arrogant cultivators?

I see these questions, and I promise you, the answers are coming! I will slowly unpack it all and present you with what I hope is a truly interesting and unique imaginary world. I also hope that my perspective as a female author brings you a fresh and unique experience within this horror Xianxia genre.

Now, about the "itchy point" we all love—that incredible thrill when the protagonist levels up rapidly, becomes overpowered, or fearlessly challenges someone in a higher realm. I get it! I've read my fair share of male-led webnovels, and I live for that "Aha!" moment, that satisfying, fist-pump-worthy scene. It's a crucial, cool element, and I absolutely want to deliver that same excitement.

Okay, I have to confess. As a female, I sometimes… just sometimes… miss the "cool point" in male-led webnovels. (hides behind screen

You know the scene I'm talking about! The protagonist sees his rival. He narrows his eyes and thinks, "I don't like the way you're looking at me." The next line is, inevitably, "You're courting death!" Then it's just BANG, BANG, BANG—fighting ensues! LMAO!

And I'm sitting here, munching on my popcorn like: "Wait, but why didn't he like the way he was looking? Was it a smug look? A condescending smirk? Was there a hidden insult in that gaze that I, as a reader, missed? Or is this just the universal dude-code for 'I sense a challenge to my dominance, and my primate brain must respond immediately'?" 😂

It's not that it isn't entertaining—it totally is! It's just that my brain is often wired to look for the spark right before the explosion. The subtle social cue, the unspoken rule being broken, the specific emotion that triggers that instant, violent response.

But here's the logical part, and what I've learned from reading so many of those stories: that "You're courting death!" moment isn't really about the looking. It's a narrative shorthand. It's a concentrated pellet of pure, unfiltered confrontation. It bypasses lengthy dialogue and gets straight to the action and power display that so many readers crave. It's the literary equivalent of a boss health bar appearing on screen—you know exactly what's about to go down.

Ok, I also wanted to try something a little different in this book and break away from the rigid, layered leveling formula—while still making sure you get your thrill fix!

So, here's my two-part plan:

First, I want to highlight the protagonist's strength and charisma not just through internal monologues, but through different perspectives. Imagine the genuine awe, the shock, and the reluctant admiration from beings who are far more powerful than him when he pulls off a stunning display of prowess, bravery, or cunning in a public setting. Their reaction is what will truly sell his growth and make those moments epic.

Secondly, I want to explore a much wider array of levelup or power systems. This won't just be about the standard cultivation levels within this one world. We'll see diverse leveling and ascension systems from different martial sects, lands, and even stars! I also want to introduce cultivation or growth concepts that go beyond our three-dimensional understanding to enhance the protagonist's strength.

Think about the possibilities: delving into the Nightmare World within the pit of a deep lucid dream, or harnessing the fundamental energy of the Zero Point Field. These aren't just new "levels"; they are entirely different paradigms of power, each with their own unique strengths and advantages. This way, his path to becoming powerful feels less like climbing a single, rigid ladder and more like mastering the laws of the entire universe.

At last. Once our steadily-panicking Lordi finally wraps up his... eventful outer sect task at the Hanz Estate (let's all wish him luck and a clean pair of pants), my plan is to shift focus to the side stories for a bit.

First, I'll be finishing up the two current side stories that are already running. And then... drumroll please... I'll be kicking off a third side story!

And to keen-eyed readers who goes by "Anti-NTR Hero"—you are absolutely, 100% correct! NTR is bad, I agree!

The third one is also, well... let's call it thematically challenged in the romance department. LMAO! 😂

Now, before you all grab your virtual pitchforks and start typing in anger for pure, fluffy love—I totally, totally get it! I see the comments, I see the zero-star reviews screaming "NO NTR!" from the rooftops, and I understand the visceral reaction. The desire for wholesome, unwavering love is a powerful and wonderful thing!

But hey, my lovely readers, let's maybe just think about it in this way for a moment.

All the characters starring in these particular NTR-themed side stories? They weren't the good guys. Oh no. They were the villains, the schemers, the outright bad guys in the main plot. So, let's consider this my unique, and perhaps a little extreme, form of narrative punishment for them!

Think of it less as "Netorare" and more as... Karmic Retribution: The avenge story!

While Lordi might or might not deal with them physically in the main plot, these side stories are where they face a thorough, soul-deep reckoning. It's a punishment that targets not just their physical well-being, but their very spirits—their pride, their attachments, their sense of control. It's the universe (or, you know, their mischievous author) twisting their own worst tendencies back on them in the most poetic way possible.

So, for those of you who dread the NTR tag, I completely understand if you choose to skip these specific tales! But for those who are curious, you can view it as a special kind of justice-porn for the characters we love to hate. It's my way of making sure the bad guys get what's coming to them, on every level.

Thank you so, so much for sticking with me. Your support is the real magic that brings this story to life. Now, onward to the next 200!

With all my gratitude and excitement,

YoungPeasant
