After the meal the two women decided to spend their free time by wandering around the town of Granitz.
Pierre stood up, while the two looked at what was his next move, he walked to the coffee machine, and came back with three cappuccino, filled with cream and cinnamon smell. "Are you trying to spoil us?" Dianne asked. Elena laughed. "Don't mind him, Dianne, This is his way." Elena said. She knew a lot about him – Dianne thought. He hands the coffee to Dianne and Elena. Dianne smelled the coffee mixed with cinnamon smell, it made her relax, settling her thoughts, hand numbness from long night coding were relieved by the warmth. "This smells really good, Pierre" Dianne told him, Pierre said nothing but smiled. After a sip, like the chocolate's last night, Dianne felt her body was rebooted. She felt her mind and thoughts have been setting for the day. "Pierre, you are as good as always" Elena praised him with a smile. "Let's go for a walk, shall we?" Elena proposed. "I am not sure," Pierre said. "C'mon, It is Dianne's first holiday, as a deputy director, you should look over your subordinate" Elena said in a teasing tone. It was her first holiday on Granitz, Dianne just realized after Elena mentioned. "Alright, what do you want Dianne?" Pierre could not resist Elena's proposal, so he turned to Dianne and asked her. "I'm new here, any suggestions?" Dianne said with uncertainty. "Elena, you know more than us about Granitz. As your boss, I ordered you to show Dianne about this island." Pierre ordered Elena in a semi-formal tone, unlike superior to subordinate. Somehow, Elena straight up, blushing, and nodded her head. It was an unexpected expression from a lively woman like her. It was more like she could not resist any of Pierre's command.
Dianne, Elena, and Pierre scheduled to meet downtown at 5:00PM, Elena suggested we go and sit at the beach, watch the sunset. Elena and Dianne wanted to spend a girl's time shopping before meeting Pierre. So the three separated, went back to their own places.
Elena and Dianne went back to freshen up themselves. Then meet again at Dianne's place. Because Dianne was still not familiar with the road here, Elena worried she might get lost. Elena went back to her room, well decorated, she lived alone as both her parents were dead. Her mother died when she was three years old, her father raised her alone.
Elena took a shower, dressed up in a casual style. White top, showing her collarbones and her black straps, with jeans. After checking herself she went out to Dianne's place.
(Ping) a doorbell rang. Dianne opened the door, towel wrapped up, exposing her unusual and firm cleavage. "Give me a few minutes," Dianne said. "No worries, take your time" Elena replied. Dianne saw her husband message that he was on duty for three days, so no video calling for a while. She exhaled and her burden and complications were lifted off. Today she could enjoy her day off with Elena, and Pierre.
Not too long, Elena came back with a sundress, barely what she was wearing underneath. "You look so charming," Elena said. "Not as you, Elena" Dianne teased her, her eyes glanced over Elena's body, causing Elena embarrassed. "Where shall we start Elena?" Dianne asked. It's around 15:30 PM, Elena still has time before meeting with Pierre. "How about shopping?" The two went out, walked to the downtown, 20 mins away.
Elena brought Dianne to a cafe, inside it decorated with an orange tone, and saw some stripe patterns of red, white, and blue. "This felt like my hometown" Elena told Dianne, they took a seat where both can look on the street outside. The waitress came, she was an old lady, "Hello, Elena, How are you doing?" the old lady asked. "I am good, thank you, meet my colleague – Dianne Scholz – she just moved here several days ago." Elena introduced Dianne to her. The lady nodded and smiled, Dianne did the same. "What do you want today, Elena?" the lady asked. "Appelflap, and iced black tea, please," Elena told her. The lady turned to Dianne, but she was still looking at the menu and had no idea about the menu. Elena observed Dianne struggling, "This is her first time here, can you recommend something?" Elena asked the old lady. "Sure, our special this week is Appletaart." The old lady said. "I will go with that, and ice black tea," Dianne said. "You come here often?" Dianne asked. "Yes, when I was a kid, I came here everyday," Elena said. "My father liked the Appelflap made by the lady, he said it gave him a sense of our hometown" Elena continued. "After he passed away, I came here sometimes, but not as often as in the past," Elena said. "I am sorry" Dianne said. Elena shook her head and smiled at Dianne, telling her that she was not in grief. The food and drinks came. Elena and Dianne enjoy the sweetness and tangy taste from the apple.
"Have you brought him here?Pierre" Dianne raised her question. Elena's cheek turned red. She slowly bit her appelflap. "S..Sometimes, he likes Vlaai here" Elena was struggling. Dianne learnt another thing about Pierre from Elena without asking, she laughed little. "I see," Dianne replied, short but full of meaning. "What about you Dianne, How is your relationship between you and husband" Elena asked, "must be hard to maintain the relationship" Ema continued. Dianne straight up, looked at her married ring, recalling the video calling she spent with her husband, the only way to close their distance. Our deal – Markus's voice demanding of her popped up in her mind. "It is quite difficult, but we are trying our best." Elena answered with a low voice. "Oh, Dianne, It is my fault, I must go too straight," Elena apologized to her. But Dianne did not feel anything, she just felt complicated over her feelings toward her husband. "No worry, Elena, I want to share more things with you" Dianne replied, reaching her hand to touch Elena's wrist, expressing her comfortability. Elena smiled.
The two finished their meal, and went out. Taking a walk along the main street surrounded by several shops, selling food, clothes, etc. Many people greet Elena, wove at her. Elena smiled, wove back as it was part of her routine. She was so popular in this town. Not surprised for her charming, socializing. "Elena, you are incredible, knowing everyone here" Dianne impressed. "Just most of them, Not many people want to move to Granitz, Dianne" Elena said. "Most of them were the army' s family," Elena said. "You too?" Dianne asked. "Yeah, my father was a SEAL." Elena said "He died on his mission in the Kapital" Elena said. "Feta's family adopted me afterward," Elena added. "Feta's family is also a full army" Elena continued "Her husband was also in the same team with my father. Her son, …" a paused Elena. "He is a national hero, I think you might have heard his name," Elena said. A national hero – Dianne thought, recalling her memories. "Karl Feta?" Dianne murmured. "Yes, it's him," Elena said.
While the two were talking, Elena and Dianne stopped in front of a clothes shop. A swimsuit shop. "Granitz is island, Dianne, swimsuit is a must" Elena led Dianne inside. Dianne brought a swimsuit with her too but it was not as flashy as those selling in here. "We will be at the beach! Bikini and beach, Dianne!" Elena smiled, while looking for a bikini. "I am not sure, I have no confidence" Dianne said unsure. "You are incredible, Dianne, be confident" Elena cheered up. "This one might suit you" Elena picked one for Dianne, and let her get change. The two women spent the rest choosing a swimsuit. "Are you sure, Elena?" Dianne hesitated. "Yeah! It is incredible on you" Emm praised. Dianne chose that swimsuit. After finishing shopping, it's 10 mins before their schedule with Pierre.
