On the way to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters, Yohan sent a letter to Kagaya Ubuyashiki, informing him that with Tanjiro's help, he had successfully found the blue spider lily and was now on his way back. He also requested that Kagaya arrange housing and work for Tanjiro and his family in a nearby town close to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. Yohan believed that with Kagaya 's vast wealth and influence, he would surely make proper arrangements for Tanjiro and his family.
…
"Wow, is this our new home?!" Tanjiro's younger brother, Shigeru, gaped at the house before him. It was much larger than their previous home and stood three stories tall.
He handed the relevant documents from the Demon Slayer Corps to Tanjiro's mother, Kie.
Yohan turned to Kie and said, "Auntie, this house will be your new home from now on. As for work, someone will come by later to arrange it for you. If you don't adapt well or if you'd like to do something else, feel free to tell them."
"Yohan, I really can't thank you enough!" kie was overwhelmed. She had never imagined that the house Yohan had arranged for them would be so spacious and well-appointed, and on top of that, he had even arranged work for them. She was at a loss for words.
"Yohan, this is... too much..." Tanjiro and Nezuko were speechless, unsure how to repay Yohan's kindness.
"Alright, it's settled!" Yohan smiled and waved it off. "Don't thank me. You all are the ones who've done me a huge favor."
"Auntie, Tanjiro, Nezuko, I won't disturb you any longer. I'll come check on you again later."
After bidding farewell to Tanjiro's family, Yohan turned to leave. He was eager to see Kanroji Mitsuri soon, a smile creeping across his face.
I wonder if Mitsuri will be surprised when she sees me?
Kie knew that her family needed time to adjust, so she seriously instructed her children, "You must always remember to show respect to others, okay?"
Watching Yohan leave, Nezuko suddenly clenched her fist and ran after him.
"Yohan, wait!"
Yohan turned, seeing Nezuko, panting and breathless.
"Is there something else, Nezuko?" Yohan asked, tilting his head.
"I... I wanted to ask where I can meet you again," Nezuko asked the question that had been on her mind. She didn't want to just wait for him to come find her.
Throughout their journey, Nezuko had already realized that she had imprinted Yohan's image in her mind.
"Looking for me?" Yohan asked with a smile. "How about I take you to where I live in a couple of days?"
Yohan understood what Nezuko meant and decided to let her get to know him better before anything else.
"Promise?" Nezuko asked, her eyes serious.
"Of course, I'll come find you," Yohan replied, giving her a reassuring smile.
Nezuko beamed, relieved, before suddenly turning to run back home.
"Ahh, why was I so bold just now?" Nezuko internally scolded herself. Her heart was racing, and she needed something to calm her down. "I'll just focus on settling the house."
"Cleaning!" Nezuko rolled up her sleeves, determined to distract herself.
….
After bidding farewell to Tanjiro's family, Yohan finally arrived at the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters.
Standing at the fork in the road leading to the headquarters and Butterfly Mansion, he hesitated for a second.
I'll go see Mitsuri first, since there's no rush with Kagaya Ubuyashiki.
Yohan decided that seeing Kanroji Mitsuri was more important than meeting Kagaya right now. He wondered if Mitsuri had been settling in well at Butterfly Mansion these past few days.
I'm sure she's been eating well though.
Lost in thought, Yohan unknowingly reached the entrance of Butterfly Mansion.
"Yohan!"
"You're back!" The familiar voice of the twin-tailed girl, Kanzaki Aoi, greeted him as she was cleaning outside.
"Aoi, you look much livelier than before," Yohan smiled and commented.
"Hehe, all thanks to you, Yohan!" Kanzaki Aoi no longer dwelled on her past concerns. Now, walking out into the world, she felt like life had become so much brighter.
"Yohan!" A long, drawn-out voice echoed from within Butterfly Mansion.
A pink figure dashed toward Yohan, leaping into his arms.
"Yohan, Yohan, Yohan…"
"I missed you so much! I'm so glad you're back!" Kanroji Mitsuri tightly embraced Yohan, her excitement palpable as she inhaled his scent.
"Haha, I missed you too, Mitsuri."
"Have you been eating well these past few days?"
As usual, Yohan couldn't resist ruffling Mitsuri's head. It was just so soft and pleasant to touch.
"Stop it! I'm not a child anymore! Don't keep asking me that!" Mitsuri pouted, swatting at Yohan's hand. "And stop patting my head so much—it'll stunt my growth!"
Despite her protests, Mitsuri didn't let go of Yohan. She simply shook her head vigorously.
Every time Yohan patted her head, she couldn't help but feel warm and comforted, but she still wanted to grow taller. At 1.6 meters, she was still shorter than Yohan, who was nearly 1.8 meters tall. Mitsuri was determined to grow taller.
After entering Butterfly Mansion with Mitsuri and Kanzaki Aoi, Yohan immediately looked for Tamayo and the others.
"Yohan-kun, you're back!" Tamayo greeted him, her eyes bright. "You sure are slow though."
She had just finished mixing a new potion with Shinobu when she saw Yohan enter.
As for Yushiro, ever since arriving at Butterfly Mansion, he had been idle. However, due to his Blood Demon Art, he had been sent by Tamayo to assist Kagaya Ubuyashiki with intelligence work.
Yushiro's Blood Demon Art, BlindFold, allowed him to see through any symbols or talismans, making him an invaluable asset for the Demon Slayer Corps. Hence, Tamayo and Shinobu were now the only ones left in the mansion to continue their research on the potions.
