While rover was negotiating his so-called payment, in another village where the so-called empire knight had slaughter, multiple figures were seen entering the village.
They saw the village remain burned and dead bodies were scattered around, with multiple slash or stab wounds on their body, and some were burned inside their own house.
As they entered the village the knight who was leading them looked around and turned to his subordinate "Look for any survivors and escort them" he ordered his men.
"SIR"
While looking for a survivor the knight who was behind him asked "is this the empire doing or perhaps..."
The captain heard it and looked towards his second in command "What do you think" he asked
The man can only sigh "this is clearly a trap captain, why would they let any survivors live, they let them live to call for help, to lure you out here" answered with his deduction.
For the past couple of villagers there's always a couple of survivors saying that their village was attacked by knights wearing the empire emblem.
"We really should leave captain, we are getting too close to the border, they probably already have prepared some kind of trap, you're the one most important person in the kingdom, these are just villagers they aren't worth-"
"No"
The captain interrupted his right hand man before he said more.
"I was born a commoner just like them, to live in a village is to constantly be in danger." He looks towards his right hand man "We both know that the weak can do nothing and let it happen, and no one cares to save them."
"Captain we have a couple of survivors here." One of the Knight shouted
The captain looked towards the voice and nodded "Good, escort them to E- rantel"
Gazef fixed his gaze in front of him "So let's show them, that the warrior knights cares about them and would save them from danger" he looks back towards his vice captain with a confident smile.
The captain pointed his sword up "We're not marching towards our death, we are heading to save the kingdom's people" he Roared
The other knights also point their sword up and roared with their captain.
The vice captain only sighs with a smile, he can't convince their captain when he makes up his decision.
And so they march towards the danger to protect those who are too weak to protect themselves.

Back to Rover in carne village
As the chief and Rover enter the house, Rover could see that it was quite a modest house and looks quite comfortable.
The chief immediately guides Rover to a table and asks him to sit which Rover comply.
"Would you like something to drink sir" the village chief wife asked.
Rover just nodded and the chief's wife immediately went to prepare some drinks.
"First I would like to thank you again for saving our village, we wouldn't know what would happen to our village" the chief bow his head
Rover just smiled "it's alright chief like I said I was just passing by and saw 2 girls getting chased by knights and decided to see what's going on"
The chief nodded "ah yes about the rewards, I apologize but we don't have much to offer" he walked up towards a room and picked up a bag and put it on the table.
It was a bag full of silver and copper coins.
"I apologize if this is not enough, we will give you more after our village recovers" the chief lamented their village situation.
Their village was attacked so suddenly and many died and their house and property damage, the only thing they can do now is to heal and build back.
Rover who was looking at the bag picked up a silver coin and a copper coin and shoved the rest towards the chief, which confused him.
"I'll take these 2 as payment, you can use the rest oo the village recovery"
"But sir-"
"Let me finish, in exchange for the money I want one of the village Houses to live in for a couple of days, and I need some information if you could provide them to me"
While money isn't a problem for Rover he decided to take a different rewards a place to stay for a moment and information.
Seeing the confusion in the village chief
Rover explained that he was using a teleportation spell, but somehow he got teleported to the forest instead.
Finally understanding Rover predicament, the chief asked "what kind of information do you need"
"I need a map and the surrounding city names and what country I'm in"
The chief nodded and went to get a map.
While the chief went to take a map, his wife brought some tea and snacks, bread and cheese.
As the chief came back they sat back down.
The chief immediately went to tell Rover all about the surrounding countries, there's the Re-estize the country he's in right now, the baharut empire, the slane theocracy, and others.
While talking about them Rover noticed that he can't read the name of the country and City name on the map.
'Abby can you read any of these characters?' using his telepathy he asked.
'hmmm nope I don't know, looks like it's this world native language' Abby respond
'I see if only there's an item to translate any writen language' Rover though
He could only sigh, he needs to find a way to understand this world written language if he wants to live in it.
"That is mostly the nearby country Sir Rover"
"I see thank you for the information"
After the information is done the chief went for the second compensation for Rover a house.
"We do have a couple of empty houses, but they're probably damaged so we'll have to fix it for you first, if you don't mind you can use our guest room for now"
"Works for me" he shrugs, he doesn't mind as long as there's a bed to sleep in.
As the conversation goes, Rover asks a bunch of questions, like what's the world religions, races any past wars or conflict, but the chief only knows the bare minimum which is understandable.
While their conversation continued Rover caught something in his peripheral vision, he turned his head to the window and he could see that the villagers had gathered their loved one who had been killed in the town square.
The chief noticed "looks like everyone has already gathered, I'm sorry for cutting our conversation short Sir Rover, but we need to bury the dead before they turn into undead." The chief gazes towards the window with grief written on his face.
'must be tough for him'
But then Rover remembers his promises to nemu, that he'll save everyone, and he hasn't delivered that promise, he didn't know if their family survived or not.
'Hey Abby, do you think we can revive the villagers?'
'I don't know, their soul is quite weak, and their body too, a normal revival spell needs compensation to repair the body and the soul, plus we don't know how long the first villagers died, the longer they passed away the higher the compensation' Abby explained.
In yggdrasil when a player died they lost 5 levels, but if a player npc died they need to pay gold correspondents to their level.
But what about world npc like civilians and other randomly generated one? They can be revived if they are a part of the quest, so Rover thought maybe he could revive them but at a cost of exp.
'but we can right?' Rover asked.
'well yeah, but we might need some help from our friends miss Lorelei, she can help reduce the cost and prevent any corruption or turning their body to dust from the spell' Abby answers.
'lorelei huh'
Lorelei was a creature that had a strong affinity in purifying stuff that has been corrupted, and preventing corrupted.
'you're doing this for that kid nemu right, because you "promise" her that you'll save everyone' Abby said with a hint of amusement.
'yep'
Abby let out a sigh in his mind 'you and your savior complex'
'do you hate it?' Rover asked teasingly
'no' Abby admitted
Rover just laughed a little at his companion.
He stood up from the chair "Well, guess my work here isn't done yet" he walked past the chief, making the chief confused, were there more threat.
Seeing that the chief was tensed Rover faced him "I'm going to bring back everyone so don't worry chief" he said.
Hearing this the chief and his wife were shocked that not only the person in front of them is strong but he can bring people back from the dead.
"Why?" He asked his voice cracking
Rover just kept on walking towards the door "Because I made a promise that I'll save everyone in this village"
As he reached the door he looked back at the couple with a smile "and because I can"
The couple could only stare, how could someone so powerful be so kind, is he perhaps a god? or an Angel that was sent by them. They could only guess but right now they look at each other and follow him and help anyway they can.

The mournful atmosphere surrounds the village, as they lay their loved one in front of the village square.
Some lost their partner, some lost their parents, and some lost their neighbors, but in the end they all lost a loved one.
And one of them was the sisters, enri and nemu.
Both of them are crying over their parents and a boy no less older than 15-16 years old with a black raven hair.
Rover saw them and went towards them with a melancholy smile, he remembered how he lost his own mother to a genetic illness and overworked, all so that he could live comfortably.
Now he has powers that can help others so that they won't experience what he has experienced.
As he gets closer the sobbing and crying get louder mostly from nemu, while enri sniffling trying to be strong for her sister.
When he arrived behind them, he knelt down and Pat both of their heads "it must be hard seeing your parents like this" a soft and gentle voice came from behind them.
Both look at the source of the voice and meet with a kind smile.
"But don't worry I'll bring them back okay"
Enri was confused "bring them back, you mean reviving them" she said out loud, and it reaches to other villagers ears.
They all stopped and looked at him with expectancy.
Rover nodded
Nemu who is still crying and trying to swipe her tears off "*sniff* you mean, mom and dad and big brother will be back"
Rover nodded again "I did promise that I'll save everyone didn't I" he winked "others I'll lose my pinky finger for breaking a promise" he held his right hand pinky finger.
"But resurrection is a tier 5 spell and they said that you can only do it to a single body only"
'Another useful information' Rover though, he still doesn't know how strong the people in this world are, so this is quite a good one.
"Oh is the resurrection spell that rare?" Rover asked.
Enri nodded "yes, my friend in the city said that there's only 1 person who can use that spell" she answered while trying to remember others.
"I think her name was lakyu, she's an adventurer"
'adventurer? Guess I need to ask some more but I need to bring them back fast' he looks around and sees that all eyes are on him.
He stood up "everyone brings something precious that your loved treasure, be it necklace, ring, or anything that's important to them, we need it to bring them all back" he ordered them.
Everyone was still shocked and none of them move until the chief broke free from the shocked and repeated the order.
As everyone began to run to their homes to get their item, rover began to walk towards the middle of the square, he counted the bodies, around 50 bodies.
'Alright this should be easy enough' he thought
Before he could summon Lorelei Abby buts in 'hey why did you tell them to get something, you don't need anything other than the spell and some extra exp to bring them back ?, and Lorelei only needs to purify she doesn't need any payments.'
'oh that's just an excuse for them to go away just in case I failed to summon her on my first attempt' Rover explained while scratching his right cheeks.
'HAH, you just don't want to embarrass yourself in front of them' Abby laughed at their partner reason.
'oh shut up, you know what, why don't you do something useful other than sit and watch, go place a barrier so that no one sneak attack me during casting' Rover said with annoyance, so he tasked Abby with something.
'alright alright I'll do it and I'll go watch out for anyone coming over to check on those knights' Abby appears besides him and fly ups.
The chief and his wife were surprised to see a creature pop out of nowhere but they only thought that it was Rover's.
"Sir Rover is there anything we can do to help?" The chief asked and the other villagers too wanted to help their savior.
Rover raised an eyebrow but just sigh, he knows those looked in their eyes.
"Sure. Prepared a lot of food, and water too or any drinks"
The others looked at each other and nodded and immediately went to prepare food.
While others do their stuff, Rover tried to call for Lorelei.
Rover holds out his right hands "Oh siren of the sea that purifies the world and keeps its balance, preventing corruption plague the world, I called thy lady Lorelei come and hear my wish".
The mark on his hand began to blink golden, from within it a shining spark flew out and it landed on the ground.
The ground that the spark landed turn into water and from within the water emerge a beautiful blue-haired woman wearing a long, flowing blue and purple dress. The dress has fin-like, flowing pieces.
She opened her eyes and looked towards Rover and smiled "Greetings Lord arbiter, how can this servant help you" she gave a bow with such elegance that some people might see her as a goddess.
Rover nodded "I apologize for bringing you out with any warning, Lorelei I need your help to prevent the soul on this are to be corrupted when I resurrect them, can you do that?"
"Of course lord arbiter I can" she nodded but her eyes wandered to his side "it's been awhile captain cadanto"
"It's been awhile lady Lorelei" a heavy voice came from Rover side which startled him.
'oh right I forgot, even with his massive build, cadanto is good at sneaking up on someone' Rover and placing his hand on his heart feeling it beat a bit faster.
After some time had passed and the villagers had gathered their item and placed them on their loved one, most of them were amazed seeing Lorelei for the first time.
Nemu tug Rover pants to which Rover looks at her "mister who's that pretty lady" she asked enri seeing her sister tries to get her sister to not disturb Rover didn't mind.
He knelt down "that is lady Lorelei, she's going to help me bring back everyone" he explained to which enmu just nodded, Rover rummaged through his pocket and pulled out some candy give to her "Can you give this to your friends, it'll help me a lot" he asked and nemu nodded with a smile and went to the crowd.
He walked up facing the rows of bodies in front of him, he looked up to Lorelei and she nodded.
He extended his arms out and began the chant
"O heavens above, hear my plea,Let your light descend upon thee.Beyond the veil, beyond the fall,I call the soul that once did depart.
By celestial light, by sacred grace,Return the soul to its rightful place.Let life bloom where death has been. Heaven's Recall-awaken and live again"
As the light from his hand began to shine Lorelei immediately went into action and began to purify the area the bodies was in.
One by one the bodies began to be wrapped in golden particles, and it began to get into their bodies.
The other villagers marvel at the miracle, they have never thought that they would witness something like this in their lives even those who were preparing food stopped and watched.
As the light dies out Rover looked at Lorelei wanting to confirm if it was a success, she nodded with a smile indicating that it is a success.
Rover looked down and smiled 'good, that's good' he thought.
He then turned towards the villagers who were still in a daze and smirk while putting his hand on his hip "Well, What are you guys waiting for? Go wake them up" he nods towards their loved one.
One by one they immediately went towards their loved one and tried to wake them.
One girl slowly held her partner's face "Klaus woke up" she said softly hoping that everything was true, and lo and behold he began to wake up and finally open his eyes "Emily?" The moment he called her name she hugged him tight
"Mom,dad"
"My boy, my dear boy"
"Ema, eric, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you"
"You stupid fools why did you sacrifice yourself"
Those were the cries of carne village, not of sadness and sorrow, but cries of happiness and hopes.
While their homes were burned and destroyed, they can build it back as long as they have each other. It's just a minor set back for them.
All of it thanks to their savior who is now just watching and enjoying the moment, he put both of his hand behind his head and looks up "I guess my suffering in game was worth it, I'll live here in this new world with my selfish desire, just like this one" he closed his eyes and enjoy their happiness to his full contents.

While the village was celebrating, outside the village there were 2 groups approaching, one with a man in his middle age, with a scar on his face leading multiple men with robes and masks.
The other one was non other than the captain and his knight.
Who knows what will transpired in the village at the end of the day.
