It is a regular day for KURAI . He is twenty seven year old...It has been two years since he joined Local Security Services,...The Pay is okay...but the only problem is that he still have not been able to get a stable working partner...
In the past two years....his five partners left him...some of them either left the service or applied to even lower positions....So he usually worked alone....
His work includes neutralizing the low level beasts that entered the village ...though they are not much harmful and are not responible for any major destruction...but they do destroy crops , people's houses or sometimes they even injure the locals....
Most of the times these beast are sent back safely but if necessary they will be neutralised...
But since these incidents are rare and happens only two or three days a week...most of the time Kurai just do paperworks in the office which was hectic or roam in village spreading awareness or wait for the orders....
There are three such offices under 'Security Services 'specialising in dealing with different level of beasts....
Today there was nothing to do in the office so Kurai had to travel the whole village issuing warning notice about the beasts in each and every house....He was exhausted he felt this work more tiring than his actual duty....and at night he ate at Yori's Treat then went to his room...He lived in the first floor of a wooden house provided by the Security Services...
The only thing Kurai liked about it was that it was free.....
Kurai went inside his room , went near the mirror and scratched his light beard that was hardly visible then put his fourteen inch short sword on the table and went near his bed...
Just when he was getting ready to sleep... Suddenly.....BAAAAAMMMM!!!....The wall of his room broke in a blast....
In the middle of the smoke emerged a person who was wearing an oval black mask...the mass was simple plain with two holes near eyes ....the person had tied his long black hairs in a ponytail which reached near half of his back..
The person closed the distance and with a long sharp red conical blade in his hands...the person tried to slash Kurai's neck...
Kurai was quick enough to dodge it....
" Uffffffff.... Who will pay for the damage?...The Housekeeper will take my life... if he sees this tomorrow..." sighed Kurai as he ran towards the person and grabbed her shoulders...WOOOOOOOSHH!!!...they were outside the room through the wall that had been blasted off.....
The person was confused as it happened in an instant ....
As they were in the air...Kurai held his hand and threw him even higher then landed swiftly on the ground....
He put his hands in pocket and waited for the person to land on the ground....
The person tried to gain balance in the air and he too landed safely but guess what...he was landed in Kurai's arms....And Kurai looking at his mask said, " Since when I became so important to be in a hit list of an assassin...huhhhhhh... Whatever atleast pay for the damage.."...
The person was still confused...
"Ehhhh....Hoowww..." said the person as he was thrown again by Kurai....
But this time he was able to land safely on the ground...
" You don't seem to understand that your life is about to be over... Don't you fear death...." said the person in a serious tone..
"Death? You don't know but if I die I would not have to listen to the housekeeper's nagging ..and...it will be far much better.." replied Kurai scratching his right ear with his index finger....
" You are dumb...taking this situation lightly" sighed the person.....
As the person made the attacking stance..Kurai was already in front of him..
He grabbed the person's mask and crushed it...
As soon as the mask was in pieces...the person hid his face with his left hand.....
Then the person attacked Kurai from all sides by throwing sharp needles with his right hand....
But Kurai easily dodged...He showed no seriousness....
Kurai punched the person in his guts then jumped backwards making a good distance...
The person after getting hit was now on knees as he felt it difficult to stand still hiding his face....
" You know what , a lady should not hide her face...." said Kurai scratching his head...
" Hoooow...did you know!? " said the person in surprise....
FOOOOOOSHHHHHHHH!.....Suddenly dense white smoke spread in the surrounding and when it cleared the person disappeared.....
" What else, by your chest idiot..." said Kurai in a slow voice to himself....
" She has created a big trouble for me...Huhhhhhh" sighed Kurai looking at the blasted wall in the first floor....
SOMEWHERE IN AN UNKNOWN DARK ROOM :
" What have you done!!!...you gave the wrong target to an assassin....Who is he??" said a man in harsh tone...
" So..o..rr..y Sir , the person works in the Local Security Services, His name is Kurai..." said another voice in hesitation
" Local Security Services...huh...Hahahahaaa...Let it be, Who cares if a nobody like him die.." said the man laughing ....
" What are you seeing me laughing...now get out.... Don't come to me for such trivial issues...." said the man rudely....
" O...k...ay Sir" said the other voice in nervousness.....
