Chapter 107 - Cooperate

On a dirt-like pathway, Lily Lovebraids was leading the group while humming happily and holding Michelle's hand. Unbeknownst to Lily Lovebraids, most of the group were giving her death glares, which made Michelle slightly nervous with a sweatdrop.

Michelle turned her head to the group. "Could you all tone down on the death glares; you're supposed to be friendly with her..." she whispered.

Doey stretched his head toward Michelle. "We know that, but it's hard for us..." he whispered before looking away, annoyed. "Especially since she's the one who brainwashed us..."

Michelle annoyingly sighed and placed her hand over her eyes. "Not this again..." she whispered before moving her hand down her face and looking at Doey. "We've already established that Lily is no longer Ms. Gracie."

Michelle glanced at Lily Lovebraids as she hummed. "She was in one of those lullaby rooms for almost four months. There's no way in hell she can remember her human identity..." she continued.

Mommy Long Legs stretched her head towards the duo. "That may be true, but some of us still remember our human past," she whispered.

Michelle sighed before looking at Lily Lovebraids. "Hey, Lily," she said.

Lily Lovebraids turned her head to the trio. "Yes, Braid Buddy?" she asked.

Michelle placed her finger against her chin. "Do you happen to know a man named Martin Mercia or a woman named Melissa Mercia?" she asked, which surprised most of the group.

Lily Lovebraids hummed in thought before shaking her head. "None of those names comes to mind, sorry," she said.

Michelle smiled and waved her hand a bit. "That's alright, thanks anyway," she said before turning her head to the group and holding her hand out to her.

CatNap looked at Michelle. "She could've been hired long after them..." he whispered, which made Huggy Wuggy nod in agreement with a slight growl.

Michelle annoyingly sighed before looking at Lily Lovebraids. "Hey Lily, I've got an interesting question," she said.

Lily Lovebraids smiled at Michelle. "Sure, ask away!" she shouted.

Michelle placed her finger against her chin. "If you were given a bunch of money, let's say... a million dollars, what would you do with it?" she asked.

Lily Lovebraids smiled. "With that kind of money, I could throw so many parties! I could even buy some expensive tea and expensive crumpets for my tea parties or even buy some new china!" she shouted.

Michelle slightly smiled at Lily Lovebraids. "Very interesting..." she said before looking at the group and holding her hand out to her.

The group stared at Lily Lovebraids before Katelynn placed her finger against her chin. "Maybe she has forgotten her human memories..." she whispered. "Most adults would either save it or buy expensive stuff like mansions or boats..."

Michelle sighed in relief. "Thank you, Katie..." she whispered before looking at the others. "Don't think of her like an adult, think of her like... she's a doll that a little girl is controlling. All we need to do is cooperate."

Mommy Long Legs frowned a bit and looked down. "When you put it in those terms, that's really sad..." she whispered.

Doey nodded. "Agreed... we'll try our best," he whispered, which made Michelle smile.

Lily Lovebraids stared at the group before looking forward, pouting. Why are they all talking to her? I'm the one who's throwing the tea party; the guests should be talking to me instead of her, she thought.

Lily Lovebraids brought the hair that's holding Candy Cat's head close to her. "Pee-ew, our Braid Buddy smells like dead bodies," she said in a lower pitch voice.

Michelle flinched and looked at Lily Lovebraids while the others slightly glared at her as she placed her hands against her hips. "Well, that's not a nice thing to say, Candy!" she shouted. "What's a nicer way to tell her that she smells like gore?"

Michelle blushed and looked down. "Maybe we could ask if she wants to take a bubble bath?" Lily Lovebraids asked in a lower pitch voice.

Lily Lovebraids looked at Candy Cat's head. "Now?" she asked before shaking her head. "No, no, no, we have to set up for the party!"

Doey glared at Lily Lovebraids with a growl. "Hey, Kev..." Michelle said, lowly, which made him look at her. "Do I really smell like dead bodies?"

Doey flinched and looked away. "Well, uh... you don't smell that terrible, but..." he said, lowly.

Michelle looked away, embarrassed. "I knew I should've packed deodorant in my bag..." she said, lowly.

Doey shook his head at Michelle. "Don't listen to her; she's probably just jealous," he said. "That's why she brought it up in the first place..."

Michelle remained silent and nodded; Lily Lovebraids turned her head to the right with a smile. "Here we are!" she shouted.

The group turned their heads to the right and saw a large light purple dollhouse with a purple roof and white lines. Lily Lovebraids let go of Michelle's hand before smiling at the group. "Come on, this way!" she shouted before sprinting forward.

The group looked at one another before following Lily Lovebraids. After the group entered the dollhouse, they saw a living room with a couch and a TV on the left side and two star-like picture frames with two stars above them on the right wall.

Lily Lovebraids approached the white door with a purple frame and a blue arch with a gold star at the center before smiling at the group. "Could one of you be a good toy and bring me the crumpets from the oven in the basement?" she asked.

Huggy Wuggy rolled his eyes with a huff and looked away, annoyed. However, when Huggy Wuggy sniffed the air, he was shocked and looked at the door.

Michelle raised her hand a bit. "Well, I could—" before she could finish her sentence, Huggy Wuggy sprinted past them, which shocked them, and he roughly pushed the door open before entering.

Lily Lovebraids stared at the door as her eyes turned slightly bloodshot, and she stomped on the ground. "How rude! Good toys don't do that?!" she shouted.

Michelle quickly approached the door and entered. "I'm so sorry about that, Lily; I'll go get him," she said before closing the door.

Lily Lovebraids stared at the door before closing her eyes. "You're a good toy; be a good toy..." she said, lowly, before taking a deep breath.

After Lily Lovebraids exhaled, she opened her eyes, revealing them to be normal again, before smiling at the group. "So, how's everyone's day?" she asked.

Most of the group stared at Lily Lovebraids with sweatdrops. This is going to be difficult... they thought.

Michelle quickly went down the stairs in a panic. "Damn it, Huggy, why did you do that?" she asked herself.

As Michelle went down the stairs and turned the corner, she saw a large room with a box covering the vent and a lot of electrical compartments, and Huggy Wuggy standing still.

Michelle sighed and looked down a bit. "Huggy, I know that you don't like Lily, but you shouldn't barge through doors like—" she stopped midsentence when she noticed that Huggy Wuggy was not looking at her, which surprised her. "Huggy?"

As Michelle approached Huggy Wuggy, she noticed a door with a barred opening, a pink heart locket with yellow chains, and small, purple-braided hair tied over it. "That's Lily's hair for sure, but why does she...?" she asked herself.

When Huggy Wuggy turned his head to the right, he spotted Michelle. "Misha," he said.

Michelle looked at Huggy Wuggy. "Did you find something?" she asked.

Huggy Wuggy shook his head and pointed at the door. "Some people..." he said.

Michelle stared at Huggy Wuggy, shocked. "Some people?" she asked before looking at the door and approaching it.

When Michelle was close to the barred opening, her eyes widened when she saw Kissy Missy and Poppy with her blue dress torn up, a white underdress, and her arms wrapped in bandages. "You two..." she said, lowly.

The duo looked at Michelle. "It's you... you're OK..." Poppy said, lowly.

Michelle stared at Poppy before looking away with her arms crossed, which made Huggy Wuggy look at her. "Misha?" he asked.

Poppy stared at Michelle before frowning and looking down. "I... I know saying I'm sorry won't mean much to you at this point, but..." she said before stepping forward a bit and looking at her. "I am... sorry..."

Michelle remained silent and looked down. "For my crazy plan... for making you lose your arms," Poppy continued. "For... everything... I thought if we could just get the orphans out..."

Michelle closed her eyes and clenched her arms. "You don't have to forgive her immediately, my little Misha, but... don't jump to the wrong conclusion..." Mommy Long Legs said.

Michelle unclenched her arms before turning her head away. "Consider this my final mission for you," she said.

Poppy stared at Michelle with a frown before looking down. "After this, we'll find the orphans and stop the Prototype together," she continued, which shocked her.

As Poppy looked at Michelle, she turned to her with gentle eyes and a slight smile. "That's what families do, right?" she asked.

Poppy stared at Michelle before tears fell from her eyes; soon after, she smiled and nodded. "Thank you..." she said.

Michelle nodded as she looked through the barred window. "How did you two...?" she asked.

Poppy wiped her tears away before looking down. "After leading the Prototype's hunters away from the group, we tried to get back to you, but... Lily found us from the vents and dragged us to Sweet Street..." she said. "I didn't know she was still alive after all this time..."

Michelle nodded. "That's OK, Poppy," she said. "We're gonna get you out of this thing, but it's gonna take some time. Can both of you hold on for a little longer?"

Poppy and Kissy Missy nodded. "We'll try... just be careful," she said.

Michelle nodded before examining the pink lock that's covered by small, purple-braided hair. "From the looks of it, there's a key in this place somewhere," she said.

Huggy Wuggy looked at the door and raised his arm. "Huggy can—" before he could finish his sentence, Michelle turned to him and held her hands out, which surprised him. "That's a bad idea, Huggy. If Lily hears that noise from up there, she'll have all of us restrained, and we can't leave."

Huggy Wuggy growled a bit and looked down before lowering his arm. Michelle frowned a bit and approached Huggy Wuggy before holding his hand. "I know you want to free them, especially Kissy, but we need to be smart about this," she said. "We want it to be the safest route for them..."

Kissy Missy looked at Huggy Wuggy before putting her left arm through the opening, which made him look at it. "Huggy be careful," she said.

Huggy Wuggy stared at Kissy Missy's hand, which made Michelle smile a bit before letting go of his hand. Soon after, Huggy Wuggy placed his hand under Kissy Missy's hand before kneeling. "Huggy promise," he said before kissing her hand, which made Michelle smile.

When Michelle turned her head to the back, she noticed a red door. "That might be where the crumpets are," she said before approaching it.

When Michelle was close to the red door, she noticed another red door that was slightly open before she squeezed through it.

When Michelle was inside the room, she noticed three silver doors with handles, vents under them, and a bunch of ashes on the ground. "This looks like some kind of crematorium..." she said, lowly.

Michelle approached the middle loading door before grabbing the handle and opening it, which made a mini DogDay corpse fall out and hit the ashes. Michelle looked at the corpse. "Oh, that's just lovely..." she said sarcastically before looking inside. "Nothing in there..."

After Michelle closed the middle loading door, she approached the loading door on the right. When Michelle opened the loading door, she saw a mini Cat-Bee corpse with heavy burn marks on it and a bunch of ashes in the back.

As Michelle stared at the corpse, she remembered Cat-Bee trying to pull herself out of the molten metal in No Man's Land before closing the loading door.

Michelle looked down and crossed her arms. "I'm sorry, Cat-Bee... I wish there were another way..." she said, lowly, before approaching the loading door on the left.

When Michelle opened the loading door, she spotted a plate of crumpets next to a mini Bubba Bubbaphant corpse. "There's the crumpets," she said before picking them up in her left hand and tapping her knuckle on the crumpet part. "Plastic; should've expected that..."

After Michelle went through the opening, she approached Huggy Wuggy, which made him turn to her. "I found the crumpets; we should head back upstairs," she said, which made him nod and stand up.

Poppy looked at the duo. "Be careful, you two..." she said, which made them nod before they climbed the stairs.
