Soon after, the trio was in a small maintenance room; they heard giggling, which surprised them. Soon after, the trio saw a Ruined Critter shaped like a unicorn.
When the Ruined Critter started growling at the trio, Michelle aimed the orange hand at the ground before pulling the right trigger. The flare hit the ground before the ruined Smiling Critter, which startled them before running away.
Michelle looked at the hole. "So these things don't like fire," she said. As Michelle looked at the orange hand, she noticed a timer and a number four on the screen.
When the timer finished, it went up to five. "And I only got five shots in this thing," Michelle said. "I need to make them count." Michelle glanced to the left and saw a TV with a purple VHS player. "There's a tape in this place somewhere," she continued.
Michelle glanced at the opening before entering it and turning to the right. Soon after, Michelle saw a purple VHS tape inside a makeshift tent, which made her grab it. Michelle returned to the larger toys. "I found it," she said before approaching the player.
After Michelle inserted the tape, the trio looked at the screen. "OK... this is... CatNap. Uhhhh... experiment #1188. What's his real name again?" Leith asked. Michelle glared at the TV. "Not this bastard again..." she said, lowly.
"Ah! OK," Leith said before clearing his throat. "Heya, Theo! How ya doin', bud? Normally I'd have Dr. Sawyer do this, but he's uhhh... out, let's say."
The trio stared at the TV. "So you got me until they find a replacement," Leith continued. "First off, congrats! This is officially your fourth year in your new body, and you've made some real progress, pal."
Michelle clenched her fists. "I was told that when you and the other Smiling Critters, y'know, DogDay, PickyPiggy, yadda yadda yadda, were added into Playcare, that you weren't really getting along too well with the kids like everybody else was," Leith said.
The trio glared at the TV. "But look at you now! The kids love ya and that Red Smoke! I mean, that's fantastic, isn't it?!" Leith shouted. Michelle gritted her teeth. "Is his, uh, voice thingy still broken?" Leith asked. "THE PROTOTYPE WILL SAVE US..." CatNap said.
"Theo... nobody's gonna save you. This prison is where you belong," Leith said. "We'll let you out here and there to go see the kids in Playcare, but your home is here. And as for 'The Prototype', his home is in the labs. THIS is your life now; get used to it."
When the TV finished, Michelle's blood was boiling. "I really hate that guy..." she said. Miss Delight nodded in agreement. "I never liked him ever since he took charge of this place," she said.
Mommy Long Legs crushed the TV in her hand, which surprised the duo. Soon after, Mommy Long Legs let go of the destroyed TV. "I think it's time we find a way out of here," she said. The duo nodded before approaching the opening.
Michelle turned her flashlight on and looked at the padded walls. "To think this was a place kids played in," she said, lowly. Soon after, the trio entered a room with a tent.
A Ruined Critter shaped like a pig appeared in a hole; Michelle shot the flare at the ground, which made it run away. Michelle looked at the vent. "It seems like that vent can get us to the other room, but Mommy would be stuck in here," she said.
Mommy Long Legs looked up and noticed a giant hole in the ceiling. "I can take the roof route," she said. Michelle nodded before she and Miss Delight crawled through the vent while Mommy Long Legs climbed up.
As the duo crawled through the vents, they heard small giggles. "Stay close to me, Miss Delight," Michelle said, which made Miss Delight nod.
After the duo was out of the vent, a few Ruined Critters approached them. Michelle shot the flare at the ground, which startled them and made them run away. The duo climbed up a ramp and entered a small room.
When the duo got to the other ramp, a Ruined Hoppy Hopscotch growled at the duo. Michelle shot a flare before the Ruined Hoppy Hopscotch, which startled it and made it run away. When the duo reached the top, they crawled through padded pipes.
Eventually, the duo found a slide, which made them slide down it. When the duo went through a padded pipe, they saw a slide. "This way," Michelle said before sliding down, which made Miss Delight follow.
When the duo landed on the ground, they crouched and walked forward. The duo heard giggling, which made them look around. "Something tells me we entered the lion's den..." Michelle said, lowly.
Miss Delight nodded as they traversed through small, padded structures. Soon after, the duo spotted a large button. "We need something large to press the button," Michelle said. Miss Delight looked up and saw a padded block. "Miss Misha, up there," she said.
Michelle looked at the padded block before pulling the left trigger. The blue hand grabbed the padded block before pulling it to the button, which powered something up. "There's more than likely another button on the other side; we have to find it," Michelle said.
Miss Delight nodded before they walked away. As the duo returned to the padded structures, a Ruined DogDay approached them and growled. Michelle shot a flare at the ground, which startled the Ruined DogDay before running away.
Eventually, the duo reached the other side and saw the padded block, which made Michelle pull the left trigger. The blue hand grabbed the padded block before pulling it to the button. "That should do it," Michelle said before the duo entered the padded structures.
When the duo reached the padded pipes, they entered the one on the right. Soon after, the duo went up a ramp before going through a different pipe. Soon after, the duo stood at the top of the structures.
A Ruined CatNap turned to the duo and growled. Michelle shot a flare at the ground, which startled the Ruined CatNap before running away. When the duo looked at the center, they saw a button.
When the duo got to a circular platform, Michelle pulled the left trigger, launching the blue hand and pressing the button, which made the platform spin to the other side.
The duo jumped and landed on the ground before approaching the door. When Michelle opened the door, they climbed down the stairs.
Soon after, the duo entered a pool area and looked around. "It's been a while since I've been in here," Michelle said. "Kevin and I would teach Katie how to swim in here... those would lead to a lot of splash fights." Michelle laughed a bit before sighing. "Good times..." she said, lowly.
The duo heard something from the roof, which made them look up. Soon after, the duo saw Mommy Long Legs enter the room. "You two alright?" she asked. The duo nodded. "Those Ruined Critters are kind of a pain," Michelle said.
Mommy Long Legs hummed as she got on the ground. "I know what you mean..." she said. The trio looked at the doors before approaching them.
After Michelle opened the door, she saw an area with small cells in the distance. "If I remember right, they use this place to put bad kids in timeout," she said. The toys looked around the area. "That sounds right..." Miss Delight said, lowly.
When Michelle approached the room, she noticed legs with orange fur and golden brown fur on their feet lying on the ground, which made her eyes widen. "No way..." she said, lowly.
Michelle sprinted forward, which surprised the toys. "Hey!" they shouted before following her. When Michelle was close to the cell, she tried catching her breath as she saw DogDay with his arms and neck restrained by belts. "DogDay," she said.
DogDay opened his eyes and slowly looked forward, and saw Michelle as the other two approached her. "You... you seem familiar..." he said. "Have we met?"
Michelle nodded. "Remember the girl that accidentally bumped into you in Playcare who was accompanied by a young boy and a little girl?" she asked. DogDay stared at Michelle before looking shocked. "Misha..." he said, lowly.
Michelle nodded. "That's right," she said before pulling her Swiss Army knife out of her pocket and pulling the blade part out. "I'm getting you out of those restraints."
As Michelle reached for the belt restraining DogDay's right hand and started cutting, he looked at her. "You shouldn't be in here; get out while you still can," he said.
Michelle ignored DogDay. "A million pairs of eyes are on you... watching, waiting, hungry," he continued. "They want nothing more than to crawl beneath your skin and eat away at you bit by bit..."
Michelle gritted her teeth. "I couldn't bear witness to a gruesome fate put upon you, just—" she glared at DogDay. "That's enough!"
DogDay looked at Michelle, surprised. "I'm not leaving you in a place like this just to let you die! Especially if the said person has people waiting for them?!" she shouted.
Michelle cut the belt, which made DogDay's right arm drop; she got close to one of the belts wrapped around his neck and started cutting. "I don't want to lose another life! Not when I..." she said.
Soon after, Michelle gritted her teeth as tears pricked her eyes. "Not when I could've saved them..." she continued. DogDay stared at Michelle. "Misha..." he said, lowly.
Michelle quickly shook her head before she continued cutting the rope. "Mommy, can you tear the other two?" she asked. Mommy Long Legs nodded before reaching for the other belt around his neck. Michelle cut the belt while Mommy Long Legs tore the other.
Soon after, Mommy Long Legs tore the belt around DogDay's left arm, which made him fall forward. Mommy Long Legs quickly caught DogDay. "Woah there, I got you," she said before carrying him.
DogDay stared at Michelle as she folded the knife and put it in her pocket. "You've changed a lot since I last saw you, Misha..." he said.
Michelle turned to DogDay. "You've become an independent young woman with a kind heart," he continued. Michelle smiled until they heard multiple giggling, which made her turn to the back and step away.
Soon after, multiple Ruined Critters emerged from the walls. "Oh no!" DogDay shouted. The group started backing away as the Ruined Critters entered the hallway. "What are they after?" Miss Delight asked.
As Michelle looked at the Ruined Critters, she noticed they were staring at her, growling. "It's me..." she said, which made the toys look at her. "They're after me because I freed their meal ticket."
Michelle glanced down and noticed she stood on wooden boards covering a hole in the ground before turning her head to Mommy Long Legs. "Take DogDay and Miss Delight and get out of here; I'll find another route," she continued.
DogDay looked at Michelle, shocked. "No, you can't—" she looked at him with stern eyes, which shocked him. "Your group helped someone from my group while I couldn't do anything."
Michelle clenched her fists. "I plan on repaying them for doing something they couldn't do while I'm out here," she continued. DogDay stared at Michelle. "Misha..." he said, lowly.
Michelle looked at Mommy Long Legs. "Protect those two and go!" she shouted. Mommy Long Legs nodded as she grabbed Miss Delight. "Be careful!" she shouted before climbing through the hole in the roof.
Michelle glared at the Ruined Critters as they charged toward her. "You want me... come and get me!" she shouted before slamming her foot against the boards under her feet, which destroyed them and made her fall.
When Michelle landed on the ground, she sprinted through a pipe as the Ruined Critters charged toward her. As Michelle climbed the slope, a shutter opened, which made her go through it.
As Michelle turned to the right, the shutter ahead of her closed, which made her take the left. Michelle climbed the ramps before entering a tube on the left.
A Ruined Bobby BearHug approached Michelle with a growl. Michelle pulled the right trigger, shooting a flare at the ground and scaring the Ruined Bobby BearHug.
Michelle turned to the left before turning to the right; as she entered the small room, the ground under her dropped, which made her sprint through the tunnel.
Soon after, Michelle saw a slide, which made her sprint toward it; a Ruined KickinChicken came out of the hole before jumping toward her.
Michelle aimed the orange hand and pulled the right trigger, shooting a flare at the Ruined KickinChicken. The Ruined KickinChicken landed on the ground and started rolling around in pain as Michelle reached the slide before sliding down.
At the bottom of the slide, Michelle sprinted forward as a shutter opened. As Michelle entered the room, multiple ruined Smiling Critters entered the pipes. Michelle sprinted to the left and spotted a bounce pad.
Michelle quickly twisted the knob, switching the orange hand to the purple hand before pulling the right trigger. Michelle launched herself to the other side before landing near the lift.
As Michelle turned to the opening, the shutter closed, which made the Ruined Critters scream in rage. Michelle tried catching her breath before getting on the lift.
The gate closed before the lift started going up. Michelle sat on the lift with a sigh. "I think my exhaustion is getting to me..." she said, lowly. "I feel so tired..."
Michelle took a deep breath before exhaling. "You gotta stay strong, Misha..." she said, lowly. "You're so close to the goal..." When the lift reached the top and the gate opened, Michelle stood up and got off. As Michelle looked around the room, she spotted a DogDay cutout.
Michelle turned away and spotted a slide before approaching it. Michelle sat down. "I'll be seeing you shortly," she said before going down the slide.
