Chapter 56- Why Are You Naked?

Why is all of his question sounding so dumb?
I mean… should I really just tell him I was naked?
I chewed the inside of my cheek in panic. That was such a shameful thing to say. I wasn't supposed to admit that, right? I wasn't supposed to tell a guard—a man—that I had nothing on. What kind of girl would do that? What would he think of me?
I shook my head quickly and tried to smile, forcing the corners of my lips to move like everything was fine.
"I was just… waiting for you to leave first. So I can come out and pick it up," I said softly, praying that it would be enough to make him turn around and go away.
But no.
He didn't budge.
Instead, he just stood there.
"Are you serious right now?" he asked, raising a brow like I was trying to joke with him. "Do you really think I'd leave and let you pick it after I walked off?"
My throat tightened. I blinked, trying to act calm, even though my chest felt like it was being squeezed.
