Chapter 479 - Chapter 477: Donald's Death!

Chapter 477: Donald's Death!

"You didn't think I couldn't see or catch those invisible little bugs, did you?" Suddenly, Omniman made a grabbing motion to his side. Although there was nothing there, the next second the sound of a shot rang out, ignoring the bullet that was fired.

Omniman casually pulled, and a black firearm gradually became exposed in the air.

Like kneading rubber, Omniman crumpled the firearm in his hand into a ball of scrap metal, then charged forward and violently shoved the entire ball of scrap metal... no, pressed it into the face of a Secret Operation team member. In an instant, thick blood splattered in the air, and a well-equipped, fully armed Soldier appeared miserably in everyone's line of sight.

"Cecil, give me an explanation."

Dropping the corpse, Nolan Grayson faced the display screen, speaking with a cold, emotionless expression.

Meanwhile, in the Global Defense Agency's Surveillance Room, Assistant Donald looked at Omniman on the screen, cold sweat beading on his temples, but he calmly contacted Director Cecil, "The situation is bad. Omniman has discovered we are monitoring him and has killed a Staff member and a Soldier."

"You keep him calm for now. I'll be right there. Remember, we aren't fully capable of dealing with him. Now is not the time to make an enemy of him," Cecil said in a steady tone.

"Understood." Donald ended the communication, looked at Nolan Grayson on the screen, a flicker of struggle in his eyes, then decisively told the Staff beside him, "Switch the screen image over here."

"No problem."

In the Room at the Surveillance location, Donald's face quickly appeared on several display screens. Dressed in a suit, he sat calmly at the Public Stage and spoke calmly: "I know you are angry right now, but please spare the Staff there. They are innocent. I was the one who instructed them to monitor your lives. Director Cecil was unaware of this matter.

Therefore, the person you should kill is not them, but me."

"I don't believe a subordinate could act on their own initiative in this matter," Omniman said coldly.

"Perhaps you don't understand how much authority I possess, Mr. Nolan. If I wished, I could even bypass Director Cecil and mobilize an Army. So, monitoring you is an easy matter for me." Donald noticed Mark in the Room and spoke again, "Believe me, I only did this to protect your child and wife."

After hearing this, Mark looked at Omniman. He felt there was some truth to what Donald said.

Perhaps the Global Defense Agency's actions truly had no malicious purpose.

"A good defense, but how do you explain my son being injured by White Lion? He was at home at the time, why didn't your people show up to protect him? And there's another thing that greatly puzzles and confuses me: Mr. Jervis, the Deputy Captain of the Guardians of the Globe, knowing full well that Mark is my son, still chose to attack him. Is that also a form of protection?"

Mentioning Mr. Jervis made Omniman feel annoyed. He had never disliked someone so much before.

Sooner or later, he would choke Mr. Jervis and throw that guy into the sun, letting the intense heat incinerate every single one of Mr. Jervis's cells, preventing him from regenerating!

"I apologize, that was an accident. White Lion appeared suddenly, and our Staff didn't react in time. However, afterwards, we brought Mark to the Global Defense Agency as quickly as possible to receive the best treatment."

Although he knew the other party was deliberately causing trouble, facing the immensely strong Omniman, Donald could only lower his head and sincerely apologize.

"Maybe just let it go." Looking at the two miserably dead corpses in the Room, a strong sense of guilt surged into Mark's heart. He suppressed the discomfort in his body, the nausea, and the urge to vomit, and whispered to his Father, Nolan.

"If your purpose was to protect my family by monitoring them, why didn't you tell me openly? If you can give me a reasonable explanation, I will leave immediately and let bygones be bygones regarding this matter," Omniman said in a deep voice, ignoring Mark and looking at Donald on the screen.

One second... two seconds... three seconds...

Donald remained silent because he truly couldn't give a reasonable explanation.

The truth of the matter was that while monitoring Omniman, they were also protecting his family, but the main purpose was still to monitor Omniman and monitor his every move, especially after the Guardians of the Globe Base was attacked. They had sent people to install multiple secret surveillance probes in Mark's home.

"If you can't explain, call Cecil over. I'll question him myself."

Currently, everything Nolan was doing was to prove to Mark how hypocritical humans were. As long as Cecil admitted it himself, the carefully cultivated image of the Global Defense Agency would be ruined, and Mark would lose trust in the largest Organization on this Earth.

"I'll repeat myself, I planned this matter entirely myself. It has nothing to do with Director Cecil."

Donald placed his right hand on his waist and continued, "I deeply apologize for what I've done. I hope you won't take your anger out on the Global Defense Agency and Director Cecil... I am willing to make amends for my mistakes in my own way. I apologize to you again, Mr. Nolan Grayson."

The next second, just as Cecil walked into the Monitoring Room, he saw Donald draw his pistol and, without hesitation, pull the trigger aimed at his temples!

Bang! After a gunshot, Donald ended his own life right in front of Omniman and everyone else.

"No!" A panicked Mark shouted loudly, while Omniman beside him glanced at Cecil standing at the Monitoring Room entrance, said nothing more, and, carrying the dazed, stunned Mark, disappeared from the Monitoring Room's screen image.

In the utterly silent Room, heavy footsteps could be clearly heard. Cecil walked up to Donald, looked at his drooping head and the horrifying blood hole on his temples, and remained silent, like a stiff sculpture.

After a long time, he finally unclenched his fists and let out a long sigh.

"Report everything that just happened to me, without omission, in detail, tell me..."

Cecil, standing tall, his voice exceptionally hoarse, finished speaking. He calmly closed Donald's eyes, but no one saw that his outstretched hand was trembling slightly at this moment.
