Chapter 2 - kidnapped: part 1

Pausing my feet internally hoping the ground could open and swallow me or maybe I could just disappear! But not now because I needed all the composure I could get.

My head spun around and so did my body but my lips never moved. I saw the head guards lips move but I couldn't make out the words he was saying. I was too lost in my world to comprehend anything. But the next moment I spoke I shocked everyone there even myself.

I knew I should have acted like an Omega but desperation made me say more.

"I say again who are you?" He demanded while slightly raising his voice as he assumed I didn't hear him the first time he spoke. But of course I didn't hear him! My head was too busy spinning lies and tales to support my lie

"Oh head gaurd, morning greetings to you"

"I had come looking for you because his majesty requested your presence in his chambers" Now that part shocked me. But I had to remain calm and not blow my cover.

"For someone who who came to pass a message you seemed to be going in the wrong direction omega..."

Omega? Oh right I was dressed in their attire.

"Ah my apologies, how clumsy of me not to check here "

"I just thought I would find you making rounds around the castle"

"Ok, I would be there soon" he replied

"But if I may?.... Where were you when he sent you on this errand? He asked giving me a questioning look.

My blood ran cold! My pulse quickened under his scrutiny. I wasn't expecting to be interrogated. I quickly masked my fear and looked up so I could look confident but my sky voice betrayed me or almost did.

"I.. was keeping him company" I responded trying to act shy by turning my gaze away even though my voice was shaky , I needed toake the act look natural. After all it's not a new thing that the royals use the omegas and rest for pleasure or rather sexual satisfaction.

The head guard slightly coughed in a bid to get rid of the awkward atmosphere. But I was awkward for a totally different reason.

"You may leave and continue your duties" he said with a stern look. There was a way he looked at me as though he was irritated. Well at least I was glad to be off the hook for now. Walking straight to the main entrance, I noticed a familiar figure at the gates and at once I knew it was rino, the prince's right hand man. He didn't like me nor did he approve of the growing affection of the me. He called me a distraction and a weakness to the prince.

Walking into the forest I had an unsettling feeling in the pith of my stomach but I decided to ignore it whatever happened I would face it anyways. But I didn't know if it was fear of getting caught , just the guilt still weighing on my mind but either ways-- I had to leave this town or entire land of the east. It wasn't safe. Stepping into the heart of the dark forest my feet stepped on wet grass and leaves and accompanying the sound of my feet over these wet grounds and crickets. But that wasn't all I suddenly heard snapping of twigs and immediately my body went cold ... I was filled with dread. Something was not right and I could feel it in my bones. Sadly my bones could not speak but they shook. In split seconds I heard more snapping and suddenly creepers emerged from the roots of threes and gripped my feet. 'dark shadow hunters' I thought. but usually they never attacked and they never moved in groups. Multiple snaps meant they were more than one and if they appeared suddenly then it wasn't now that I was spotted. Probably I was followed. I was at a disadvantage because I hadn't any water source to fight back their supernatural powers. Just like I was deep in thought my new visitors were planning their attack. Suddenly a red haired lady emerged from the shadows , coming from behind the trees. she looked young seventeen, she was quit a looker and had greyish green eyes that could pull you in but then appearance can be deceiving and by my experience I couldn't fall for this innocent face.

"And just who do we have here?*"

She said with a wide grin on her face.

The wide fake smile said everything was not well but on the surface it looked like a

I became alarmed but I tried to keep a calm face. "Who are you?" I asked with a steady voice, while hiding the fear that I felt.

"The forest guardian, I own this part"she responded fiercely. She looked at me with disdain as though I was interrupting her on a busy day. "Please let me pass, I won't cause any trouble" I replied hoping to be let off with a warning. I had heard of their kind but never come face to face with one. Although the information I got was that they were formless creatures who wandered around like dark vapor. But someone said they killed people to take their appearance and I never believed but now I do. The very blue mark that they were said to have to glow in their iris was present on this on but hers was a shade of red. I suddenly felt a presence behind me as I had started walking backwards. I froze instantly and at the same time I heard strange grunting sounds coming from both sides of where I stood. I looked up to notice the moon was proudly positioned in the sky and it was golden. A feeling of dread pooled in my stomach. I was in trouble! No one was going to save me because for a start no one would be looking for me. The only hope I had was the prince but with him being dead there was nothing Left for me. I was surrounded by the most vicious and dreadful creatures who had no ounce of feeling or sympathy.

I turned to my front just in time to see the red eyes lady pull out something from her dress and before I could understand what was going on she charged towards me in full force. I quickly bent over dodging her attack while also retrieving the dagger I had underneath my dress. The next moment when her hands made to grab my neck, I jumped to the side. I heard her grunt under her breath and she swiped her head to look at me. "Just who do you think you are" she growled. Her voice cutting through the stillness of the forest. Some leaves shook at sound. I was scared to my wits. I lost concentration for a moment and suddenly my arm was pulled with so much force that sent me colliding with a nearby tree. My head spun in several directions as dizziness washed over me. I tried to take a step but I couldn't. My knees grew weak. All this while the other of her allies just silently watched us. I couldn't clearly see their faces but I knew they were there. "You water creatures think you are better than us" she whispered in my ears. I snapped my head to where the voice came from just to see her inches away from me. Her hands shot up to my neck and I felt pain course throughout my body as I gasped for air. "Let .. me....go..." I said in between gritted teeth as I felt the pain intensify and my lungs closing in on me. "Ple...ase" "..."

Suddenly I felt I could breathe again but then i felt a sting on my neck the next minute. I raised my hand to my neck and just at the same time my knees fell to the ground and my eyes forcefully shut themselves even when I tried to keep them open. And I gave way to darkness.

...

The leader of the shadow hunters' looked at the girl with gold hair and green eyes on the cold forest grounds. It had been long since they had come across a water creature. The last time was 5 years ago. They needed the water creature according to an old prophecy that their seer had given eons ago which was gotten from the first forest guardian. But the full prophecy wasn't given and they needed a decendant of the water to know the full prophecy and release their lost powers.

"Mistress what do we do with the girl?" A short dwarf emerged from the shadows he was clad in an outfit of twigs and a crown of thorns. He looked like a man with complete dark and hollow eyes.

"Get her to the dungeon of stone and put her in a cage made for her kind. I don't want any excuses or mistakes." She said

"Yes mistress attera, it will be done as you say" he said with a bow and a determination to fulfill his mistresses command. This was his fourth mistress and he had been serving the forest guardians for generations.

"The rest of you ..." She looked around with an icy glare of authority. "Make sure to look around the forest and arrest any intruder "

"Yes mistress " they all responded in unison.
