"Your existence threatened the balance," whispered another.
"You should have bowed."
Yue Fang, with silver-flecked black eyes and frost on his breath, only smirked.
"You should have killed me properly."
And with a final push, they cast him into the Soul Abyss — a rift that devoured cultivation, identity, even existence itself. He fell without screaming, because fear had long been burned from his bones.
