Loki turned his head away, clearly avoiding Thor's gaze, his heart a storm of conflicted emotions.
He felt no joy at Thor's arrival—only a bitter irony. It was a gesture of pity from someone successful, extended to a failure. He didn't need Thor's salvation. He had his own pride and dignity.
He would rather face everything alone than accept his brother's mercy.
Of course, deep in his heart, a flicker of warmth remained. This idiot—Thor—still genuinely saw him as family.
But all Thor could see was Loki's cold indifference and rejection, which left him feeling helpless and deeply saddened.
Thor let out a bitter smile and shook his head. He knew his younger brother's personality far too well—always causing trouble, always worrying him.
Even so, he couldn't stand by and watch Loki be humiliated. Even if Loki had deceived him, even tried to kill him, in Thor's heart, Loki was still his brother—his family.
He couldn't allow Loki to be judged by Earth's authorities. That would go against Asgard's laws.
He would personally take Loki back to face Asgard's judgment. And at the same time, he'd clean up the mess Loki had made, to prevent any further disaster for Earth.
But Thor had another reason for coming—a warning. He needed to remind Alex Ray and the others that war might be looming on Earth's horizon.
He had learned from his father about Kamar-Taj, the ancient order of sorcerers with a heritage spanning thousands of years.
Considering the volatile mix of Kamar-Taj and Hell's Kitchen, Thor knew that Loki's antics were playing with fire.
What worried Thor even more was that the Cosmic Cube—the Space Stone—was currently in Alex Ray's possession.
Thor didn't know the specifics of Loki's plans, but he feared his brother would make a move against Alex. Thor was well aware of how ruthless Alex could be toward his enemies. He didn't want to see Loki dig himself even deeper into danger.
In fact, Thor was relieved that Loki had been captured by the bumbling S.H.I.E.L.D., and not by Alex Ray.
Thinking of this, he turned his gaze toward Kadoya Tsukasa and Kaito Daiki, who were preparing to leave.
Both men stood leaning against the doorway, each staring back at Thor with calm expressions.
They knew Thor. Kadoya Tsukasa had encountered him during a fight with Alex Ray. Back then, Thor had lost his divine powers and was essentially a mortal, so Tsukasa hadn't thought much of him.
All he remembered was that the guy cried while holding a hammer.
Kaito Daiki, on the other hand, had been involved in Loki's mess from the beginning and knew exactly who Thor was.
Thor frowned at the two of them, clearly recognizing both. The man with the gun had been accompanying Loki earlier—so how had Loki ended up tied up now, while they acted like nothing had happened?
"Hey, you with the gun," Thor snapped, voice heavy with divine authority, "was it your betrayal that got Loki captured?"
Kaito Daiki didn't seem fazed. He glanced at Kadoya Tsukasa, wordlessly checking if he should respond. After all, this was Tsukasa's turf, and as a guest, he ought to show some respect.
But Thor's next demand made his expression darken.
"Let him go, and I'll pretend none of this happened," Thor said coldly.
His voice was firm, like a final ultimatum delivered from the heavens.
The smile vanished from Kaito Daiki's face. He stared at Thor with narrowed eyes, his irritation clear.
"What I hate most... is being ordered around," Kaito muttered, and without hesitation, he pulled out a pistol and fired at Thor.
Of course, the bullet bounced harmlessly off Thor's body.
Thor's gaze sharpened, eyes now burning with fury. He hadn't expected these two mortals to challenge him so openly.
"I know you," he said, looking at Kadoya Tsukasa. "You fought Alex Ray before."
Thor's tone turned cold. "I'll give you one last chance—release Loki. Otherwise, I'll teach you mortals a lesson, for Alex Ray's sake."
Thor was aware that these two weren't ordinary humans. But since Alex had defeated Tsukasa before, Thor assumed Tsukasa's power wasn't that impressive.
Even though Thor himself had once lost to Alex, he believed that gap had since closed. After undergoing rigorous training back in Asgard, he felt confident that he was now on par with Alex.
So naturally, he didn't take Kamen Rider Decade too seriously. As for Kaito Daiki, Thor assumed anyone close to Loki was probably a scheming manipulator with little actual strength.
Thor figured he could handle both of them at once without a problem.
Kadoya Tsukasa, upon hearing Thor's arrogant threat, burst out laughing. He hadn't intended to fight—but now he was more than ready to put this so-called god in his place.
Thor's smug words had managed to piss off both Tsukasa and Daiki.
Tsukasa stepped forward, shaking his head as he reached into his bag. With two fingers, he drew out a card and slid it into his belt.
"Transform," he growled, casting a sideways glance of disdain at Thor.
A surge of energy enveloped his body in a flash, transforming him into Kamen Rider Decade—armored, commanding, and radiating power.
Kaito Daiki followed immediately, morphing into Kamen Rider Diend. The two now stood side by side, exuding pure force.
If Alex Ray had been present, he would've given Thor a thumbs up—this guy really had balls. Not everyone earned the honor of fighting the Decade-Diend duo.
Thor now sensed it too—their auras were intense. These two weren't as weak as he had assumed.
But that was fine. In fact, he welcomed a fair fight.
He reached for Mjolnir, gripping the handle tightly, and readied himself for battle.
Across from him, the two Riders exchanged a glance, silently debating whether one of them should take the lead or just fight together. They didn't seem particularly excited about the fight—more like mildly entertained.
But Thor didn't wait for their decision. He charged forward and shouted, "Defeat me, and Loki walks free!"
