"Within my domain, you will be deprived of your senses—smell and hearing."

Matt Murdock's cold, resolute voice echoed in the air, each word carrying an undeniable weight. Though he knew the others couldn't hear him, he still stepped forward and spoke.

"Don't worry. I won't kill you," he added, his tone laced with both reassurance and regret.

There was a deep sense of helplessness in his voice, as if he were speaking not only to them but to himself.

Matt was never a man who enjoyed taking lives. Over the years, he had put countless criminals behind bars, steadfast in his belief that federal law would ultimately deliver justice. But the sight before him—federal forces attacking Hell's Kitchen—shattered that conviction.

The government he had trusted was now the aggressor.

In an instant, everything he believed in crumbled. What remained was only rage and betrayal.

Justice. Fairness. Ideals he'd held onto so tightly—now felt hollow, almost absurd.

Yet even in his fury, Matt clung to his moral line: he wouldn't kill.

Determination flickered in his eyes. No matter what he faced, he wouldn't abandon that principle.

He approached Havok—real name Alexander Summers—his knife gleaming. With a swift motion, it cut through the air.

Havok was still trapped in utter darkness and silence when the searing pain struck. Blood filled his blurred vision as he collapsed, helpless to resist.

Matt's gaze was steady, devoid of pride. He didn't celebrate the victory. He simply moved toward his next target—Robert Drake, the Iceman.

His voice carried coldly through the barrier: "The only way to see is to hold the blade in your hand. But you won't get that chance."

Then he struck.

Still blind and deaf, Iceman was caught off guard. The powerful blow dropped him before he could react, before he could even attempt elemental transformation.

"And now you, big guy," Matt said, turning toward Piotr Rasputin—Colossus.

Sensing Colossus's steel-hard defense, Matt knew he'd have to hit harder.

Meanwhile, Colossus stood unaware of the approaching danger.

"Why can't I see anything? Is the captain okay? There must be a way out of this," Colossus thought, still optimistic despite the sensory deprivation.

Matt raised his hand and pointed it toward Colossus.

"Hadƍ Number 88: HiryĆ« Gekizoku Shinten Raihƍ!" he chanted.

A massive wave of light surged forward. Caught mid-transformation, Colossus's body hadn't fully turned to steel. The impact smashed into him, and he crashed to the ground, grievously wounded.

Terror and disbelief filled his eyes—he couldn't comprehend how he'd fallen so quickly.

"That just leaves you, Cyclops," Matt declared as he turned toward his final opponent, Scott Summers.

At that moment, Cyclops had no idea his team had already been taken out.

"If we can't see anything, we should just attack blindly. If we break the barrier, we can escape," he thought.

"No, wait. What if I hit Bobby or the others? If I just focus in one direction, it might work."

He wrestled with the decision, torn between caution and urgency.

At last, he chose a direction, took a breath, and removed his visor.

A blazing optic beam erupted from his eyes, hammering into one side of the barrier.

Matt took a step back, mildly surprised.

He hadn't expected this kind of power.

"Impressive," he murmured. "But it's useless. My barrier may be ordinary, but your attack power isn't enough to break it before you collapse."

He spoke with icy confidence, as though the outcome was already written.

He advanced calmly, blade flashing, preparing to end the fight.

Cyclops gritted his teeth, fighting the pain as Matt's strikes connected. He was losing ground—fast.

"If this keeps up, I'm dead," Cyclops thought, panic rising. "What do I do?"

It was painfully clear the enemy could see, while he was flying blind.

Matt was surprised by Cyclops's resilience. He'd expected the battle to be over in one blow. But this man was still standing.

Undeterred, Matt slashed again—this time targeting Cyclops's legs.

The strike landed. Cyclops collapsed.

His strength gave out.

But his attack had worked.

The barrier shattered.

And as his vision returned, Cyclops saw the aftermath: Iceman, Colossus, and his brother Alex all unconscious on the ground. Bloody. Broken.

His heart twisted. He thought they were dead.

Grief ignited into fury.

Cyclops struggled to his feet, rage blazing in his eyes, determined to avenge his fallen comrades.

But Matt didn't give him the chance.

One final strike knocked Cyclops unconscious.

As darkness claimed him, he heard Matt's voice faintly, like an echo in a tunnel:

"Don't worry. They're not dead."

The words offered only a sliver of comfort.

Matt sheathed his blade, not sparing a glance at the fallen X-Men. Instead, he turned away, heading toward another block of Hell's Kitchen—where the night sky was lit with flashes and fire.

He knew there were others still fighting for their lives.

Stark Tower

Inside the gleaming tower, Tony Stark was suited up—ready to join the defense of Hell's Kitchen. His HUD pinged targets and tactical data. But before he could launch, someone stepped in his way.

"Rhodey?" Tony's voice crackled over the comm, confusion coloring his tone. He stared at the man blocking his path. "Are you seriously going to stop me?"

James "Rhodey" Rhodes—War Machine—stood firm.

His expression was unreadable behind his helmet.

But his posture said everything.

He wasn't moving.
