Chapter 65 - The New Player Enters the Game

After the exhausting and frustrating ordeal of trying to remove the indelible tattoo that bore Reyaan Malhotra's name, Kiaan, Dev, Rehaan, and Tara returned to HQ with heavy hearts and bruised spirits. The sterile corridors buzzed with whispered conversations, but one topic clearly dominated the chatter—someone new was being added to their team. As the four walked through the hallway, they caught fragments of hushed speculations and curious glances directed at the upcoming recruit.

Kiaan's mind was clouded with suspicion and unease. He felt the weight of the tattoo on his wrist burning like a scar from the past—and now, a new element was being introduced, possibly tied to the shadowy forces hunting him.

Without delay, Kiaan made his way to the director's office. Inside, Director Arvind Bansal and Joint Director Raghav Kapoor awaited him, both wearing their usual stern expressions.

"Why this sudden appointment, sir?" Kiaan asked, trying to keep his tone steady.

Director Bansal exchanged a glance with Kapoor before replying, "Orders from higher up. We don't have the luxury to question it. The command is clear, and it's final."

Just then, the door swung open, and a young man entered—barely over twenty-four, his posture sharp and controlled. His eyes were cold, precise—too calculating for a newcomer. Kiaan immediately recognized the look of a professional trained in espionage or worse—a killer hidden behind a handsome face.

"This is Zid," the Joint Director introduced. "Your new teammate."

Zid's gaze locked with Kiaan's for a brief second—an unspoken challenge flickered in the air.

Kiaan swallowed the knot in his throat and nodded. "Welcome to the team."

Zid's lips curved into a faint smirk. "Looking forward to working with you, Captain."

The tension in the room was palpable. Kiaan's instincts screamed caution—this new player wasn't just another agent. He was a weapon, and the game was about to get far more dangerous.
