Chapter 18 - The Game (Cont.)

The field trembled faintly.

The students around the stadium slowly began to realize that this was no ordinary match.

The ball rolled between Nagant and Villar, both of them staring at each other like warriors on a battlefield.

A sudden gust of wind swept across the field.

"Zig—Zag!"

Villar dashed across the grass, dribbling the ball with unbelievable speed.

"SWOOSH!"

Nagant shot forward immediately after him.

The distance between them closed in seconds.

"A game of Black against Red," Kamaro muttered with a grin from the sidelines. "Let's see who dominates the field."

Villar twisted his body and kicked the ball across the field.

"Pass!"

The ball cut through the air like a bullet.

But before it reached its destination—

Nagant appeared.

He intercepted the ball with the tip of his boot.

The crowd gasped.

"How did he—?"

Without wasting a second, Nagant spun and launched forward. His movements were sharp and precise, like a predator chasing its prey.

The grass beneath his feet cracked as his aura began to rise.

The air pressure around the field suddenly grew heavy.

"W-wait… is he using aura in a school match?" one of the students whispered nervously.

From the academy tower, Principal Kyle-Mond narrowed his eyes.

"Tsk… these teenagers."

On the field, Villar skidded to a stop and smirked.

"So you finally decided to get serious, Nagi?"

His aura flared up as well, a crimson glow surrounding his body.

The two energies clashed violently in the air.

Students across the academy stopped what they were doing and stared toward the field.

"What's happening over there?"

Back on the pitch—

Villar stepped forward.

"Let's see if the famous Prince Nagant still deserves that title."

Nagant said nothing.

His eyes burned like quiet flames.

The ball rolled slowly between them.

Then—

Both of them kicked the ball at the same time.

BOOM!

The collision sent a shockwave across the field.

Dust rose into the air.

The ball rocketed upward into the sky like a meteor.

Everyone looked up.

For a moment—

Everything was silent.

Then Nagant vanished from the ground.

"WHAT—?!" Gama shouted.

Nagant appeared above the ball mid-air.

His leg pulled back.

The wind screamed around him.

"Let's end this."

He kicked.

THUNDER CRACK!

The ball shot toward the goal like a blazing comet.

The goalkeeper barely had time to react.

BOOM!

The net exploded backward.

The stadium erupted.

"GOOOOOOAAAL!!"

Students from every class shouted at once.

Dust slowly settled over the field.

Nagant landed on the grass, lowering his leg calmly.

He didn't celebrate.

He simply turned and walked away.

Behind him, Villar stared at the destroyed goalpost and laughed quietly.

"…Heh."

"Looks like this game just got interesting."

From the far edge of the stadium—

someone watched.

A silent figure standing beneath the shadow of the academy walls.

Eyes glowing faintly.

Watching Nagant.

Watching the field.

Watching everything.

And somewhere deep in the universe…

something stirred again.
